    i learned a lot here, but this isn't quite what i'm looking for. is there a way to crop a circular image that straddles the center fold of a spread? the facing page is mostly text, and i don't want my circular image to overlap with my text, and i don't want to wrap my text around the image.

    Fantastic video and PS tip. I've just gotten hung up on one step - the nearly last one. I get the option to PROTECT my saved selection, then Command-click the Image layer then content aware scale it and the whole things scales (the protected selection is not protected). I'm working in CC20 on a mac. Thanks for any info! Loved this tutorial.

    Each time you place an image or draw an object you seem to automatically create layers for them. Is that some sort of pre-defined system preference? I always have to create layers manually for my items, no matter how I import or place them. I appreciate your videos by the way. Thanks for sharing.

      If you look carefully there are some sub layers into one layer, you only need to click on the arrow of the layer to see the nested layers.

    • @Underhills
      @Underhills 10 лет назад

      Allan Castillo No, there's no sub layers or arrows to indicate that all. That's why I raised the question.

      Mmmm... That is really weird, mine do that without any problem, maybe you need to reinstall the program and who knows the issue can fix it in that way, good luck.

    Hi there. I watched this video and its really a great thing for me because I'm new in this type of learning. The first part of the video did not go well to me when I tried doing it myself. I am using Adobe Indesign CS6. I tried the "Edit Original" option according to the video and it won't open in photoshop. It opens in another application. I tried changing the default programs but it won't let me. Maybe that is the reason why the photo is not linked to indesign because it won't edit in photoshop. I also tried "Edit With" Option, did the editing in photoshop, but still won't work. Second thing is that when you used Adobe Photoshop, and when you saved it, it doesn't prompt anything like where to save it or what type of file do you want to save it, something like that. How do you direct those edited and saved photos so that they may also be linked to indesign whenever the photo is being used by indesign? Can you give me the options for that? That's why there is no link of the edited photo in photoshop to indesign on my part.

    I really enjoyed the flipper design idea. I was wondering - on the Rob page - I wonder why they didn't have a arrange feature - in front, send backwards as in Illustrator? That would make that whole package completed in one click. Also - wouldn't it have been easier to duplicate the whole image vs just the head making it a quicker process? I am still learning InDesign so I may be out of context with my questions. I really enjoyed the video - thank you
