Well that's what YOU remember him for. I've always enjoyed his acerbic wit and "this is what I thought of it" attitude to games journalism. If you just want to criticise him, show me your body of work or shut your mouth.
Colin would like Manga. Its usually 1 Writer who is also doing the Art. Or 1 Writer and 1 Artist. Its usually 1 story and when it ends, It ends. The biggest problem would be how long it takes for a Series to end. Claymore was going for 13 years, Berserk has been going for 20+ and is slowly still going. Fullmetal Alchemist ran for 9 years.
I'd love to have Sessler back in a while and see you guys talk about the situation in Cali. He was an awesome guest on an awesome show! Can't wait for more!
I love Adam's knowledge of classic literature. THAT man is cultured. also Adam, Greg, and Colin were my game icons growing up. Watching them together is surreal.
i can honestly say, sessler is my hero. when i came across his show, extended play, back on tech tv over a decade and a half ago, it awaked my passion for gaming. i hope one day i get to meet the guy.
Totally off-topic, but your thumbnails are some of the most effective and iconic i've ever seen on RUclips. Props to the web graphics person in your team.
megamar In that room who knows. Also Always remember you have plenty of time to prep for a t.v. show. And if you ever seen him play video games he's pretty terrible at it.
Great to see Sessler again! I miss the guy. My worst gaming memory was when my PS3 got the Yellow Light of Death just as I was on my way to the last Blast Shard in the original infamous. Lost ALL of my saves.
The internet surprised me today. I saw the title "Adam Sessler (Special Guest) - The GameOverGreggy Show Ep. 68" and immediately said "oh look a vid with a comment section full of flames, let me check it out for some giggles." and what do i find? Some hate yes but nowhere near the amount of flames i was expecting with a dislike bar that's almost non existent. Good to see the vid isn't over-run with those of childish mindsets. Anyway It's good to see sessler again. Never thoght i would see him on a show again due to him stating his opinions. It's amazing how people can get so riled up over the some of the things he says lol. The guy a damn good reviewer although i missed the entertainment factor he had back in this days with Morgan Webb
First time checking this podcast out and holy shit was it fascinating. By the end I was hoping for an extra 30 minutes because I wanted to hear more about the California drought and what you guys would do.
the battery keeps a charge on the RAM, yes. This was a sort of early version of an usb-stick. RAM can hold memory though not in use as long it has a current. I believe they did this because flash memory was a recent invention and therefore not cheap back then.
Original Zelda didn't have a battery in Japan, it was a Famicom Disk that had read/write capabilities. That's the reason Nintendo implemented the battery backup. The carts lost all memory when the power was turned off and we didn't get the floppy drive stateside. Finally you didn't really have to hold the reset button. I never did and I never lost a save, maybe I was just lucky, but that's how it went.
I miss Adam Sessler talking video games so much, but he seems like he is happy with his new job so that is good! If you ever have him as a frequent guest on the Kinda Funny Gamescast over at Kinda Funny Games I would be very happy not going to lie.
Star Wars opening crawls: Ep 4: Rebel spaceships, evil Galactic Empire, sinister agents & Death Star. Ep 1: Taxation, blockade, trade routes & endlessly debates. Case closed your honour.
Colin, I think comic stories are more similar to classical mythology than anything like a novel or a video game. Rehashing the same fundamental characters and plots has been a time-honored tradition for as long as humans have told stories, and comics are just a modern representation of that. I'm barely read comics, and I'm with you and Greg in thinking that they should completely drop the notion of continuity, but that's how I frame my thinking when it comes to the medium.
Like I said on pt1 of this podcast. I miss you Mr. Siss. I'm glad all is well. And do the world a favor come back to RUclips some how some way!! Lol take care guys. Keep up the great work with Kinda Funny!! Mad love.
My ideal comic world would be for Marvel and DC, as was briefly mentioned in your discussion, to allow writers to do one-shots. Allow the writers to establish their own, pre-set worlds (like The Dark Knight Returns, where Jason Todd was seemingly killed off in that world, whereas he was still alive in the main continuity) to play in. Don't force continuity upon the writers. Then, you can have the stories like Colin mentioned which have a definitive end, like one that ends with Batman dying. And another writer could come along later, establish their own world for a new story, and Batman is alive again! Scott Snyder is trying something similar with the main Batman releases, where he has his storyline for the Joker, then plans to give the character a break for the rest of his run.
Two months after this podcast, Texas has the opposite problem as California. A year ago, 90% of the state was listed as having a drought, with 40% classified as AT LEAST Extreme Drought, but we've now gotten so much rain in 2015 alone that the state has recovered from this nearly decade-long drought, and is starting to flood.
Okay THANK YOU. What part of "one year of water left" doesn't get the entire California population concerned enough to want some answers quickly? Anyways, great topics, and as always, it's a pleasure to see Adam is still around doing what he does best.
Adam Sessler feels out of place from this shot. Not just because he's the bald one out of the group but because he's the only veteran expert when it comes to video games. His English Major background enables him to describe video games that he reviews in a poetic thing that's beautiful and allows us to appreciate and enjoy each piece of art that we call games. Adam please reconsider reviewing video games, at least just put a blog or a podcast again for a couple of AAA titles.
Ya'll left at the right time guys, IGN has completely gone down the drain. After Dan's Bloodborne article I don't' know that I can go back. Think that was the final nail in the coffin.
RelaxingD I don't know how that guy has an editor's job at a gaming website. Not only does he not know how to play games he's condescending towards his audience. If this was anywhere else but IGN he would be fired. It would be one thing if they were legitimate complaints about the game but he was ragging on the game for stuff that weren't real problems.
especially when you bash the game for hours and hours on twitter befor u post that article ..and then try to defend it ..just sad..guys like him are the real problem in gaming today
mrfausty1 well it was the combination of the article and his twitter tirades beforehand. They aren't backed up by what the game is actually is about. ""Bloodborne's old-school challenge!" No it isn't. Even Mega Man has save checkpoints before boss fights. This is just intentionally shitty." - From his Twitter, there is literally a checkpoint before the boss battle that takes you 30 seconds of running to get back to the fight. It's not just his unprofessional-ism on Twitter but that as editor of reviewers for the site he put out a pierce (basically a hit piece) that wasn't stated as an opinion piece before the review was out that basically undermined the review that Brandin was about to put out. It's super unprofessional and it's never been done before.
On the topic of acceptance that different age people are playing the same games and reading the comic books etc: I always like to point out who makes all the stuff. Someone, most likely an adult that gets payed to do it as their job, made that episode of ______. You don't have to give up goofy, imaginative, and fun stuff when you see it in this way. (I mean not that I think people are really afflicted because they're watching fairy tail or something).
19:00 I left AA batteries in my Gameboy Color for damn near a decade with Silver inside. I had the foresight to not move my R/B/Y pokemon over to Silver because it's not compatible with Pokemon Stadium 1. Silver had no save file and new saves don't work while R/B/Y are just fine because the old batteries didn't fuck the carts. Now I do everything emulated I can, praise Gaben! Edit: If I didn't make it clear, leaving AA batteries in a gameboy for long periods of time with carts inserted that use native saves leads to breaking the save system of the carts. Fucking Nintendo never got the word out on that one.
Colin, as a fiscal libertarian you shouldn't be surprised the US lacks desalination plants. Without government subsidies or just plain government-run plants desalination is too prohibitively expensive for companies to elect to practice. It's a ridiculous situation when you think about it, given that the US is at capacity for its water, with aquifers emptying more and more each day. California especially will need to pay some more taxes to fund their fluids (maybe people will even learn a lesson about settling in a highly populated arid region, though it's not likely).
Saturn had the 3d stick for Nights around the same time n64 launched. Think maybe the 64 beat it by a month or two but the sega control was really comfortable.
Colin, watch the animated DC movie The Dark Knight Returns, if you want to know how Batman Vs Superman will make sense. Or I could just summarize...bruce wayne is a brilliant strategist, and in the animated universe(i don't read the comics) he has created fail safes for every justice league member. I doubt Batman Vs Superman will follow the frank miller story exactly, and the biggest loss will be robin, but elements will certainly be there.
The only thing I've every really enjoyed from superhero media is programs like Teen Titans, Young Justice, Arrow/Flash, and some of the Marvel movies. That infinite form continuity is just a waste of time, that's what burned me out on Naruto. The only thing that can make the infinite form work infinitely is largely disregarding continuity, like the Zelda games.
There are few de-salination plants... because it takes a ridiculous amount of electricity, and so you not only have to build these rather inefficient plants, you have to build the electric infrastructure to support them... and then how is that electricity going to be produced?.. There's no free lunch.
My take on comic books, which ive really wanted to get into lately but cant. It is so over powering trying to get started, there are so many different story lines and an abundance of things jumping all over. Its very off putting to attempt to get in with no base of starting or anything.
As far as comics it's more perception than reality that comics aren't selling. Since the MCU and The Walking Dead TV comic sales have gone to the stratosphere. Marvel, Image, Dark Horse are experiencing a renaissance in sales numbers greater than the Heydays of the 90's. The DCU on the other hand is probably doing worse because it's built around two characters that could arguably be considered anachronisms. Superman is an outsider that comes to virtually every type of negotiation holding all the cards. Batman similarly always has all of the answers and they generally come together more out of convenience or timing more than out of necessity, which makes them somewhat shallow characters that have had their stories told over and over and over and over again. casting Ben Affleck didn't help. If The DCU does ever bounce back it's going to have to be on the shoulders of other characters. I suspect after the presumed Justice League movie will be Black Adam, Shazam and Aquaman...IF DC/Warner Bros. is smart.
Wermhats Wormhat Numbers of books moved are the true indicator bud...and with so many so many titles averaging between over 100k and over 200k books sold per month represent those are boom year numbers.(90's type numbers anyway)
Who else is listening to this while playing Bloodborne .. I got fucking REKT by Vicar Amilia .. I heard she wasn't even that hard .. massacred the guards and the giants and then tried fighting her but she destroyed me lol .. wtf her attacks are crazy accurate, I can barely dodge them. Even when I dodge she hits me 90% of the time .. not a good thing for a level 34 who has only 11 vitality .. LOL (I focused on skill25 and endurance23) Maybe I should have balanced endurance and health lol. I will softcap those three but I figured fuck health, I'll go with stamina
Adam is a fucking legend. RESPECT this man‼️
Zgamer7 Bros Before Hoes wah wah wah
Sess is a legend. Love him or hate him, his legacy is assured.
Boris Müller Why is he a legend? Because he was on small time cable networks that all are gone now? Doing bad reviews of games he claims he played?
Well that's what YOU remember him for. I've always enjoyed his acerbic wit and "this is what I thought of it" attitude to games journalism. If you just want to criticise him, show me your body of work or shut your mouth.
I LOVE ADAM SANDLER I rate this video 5 out of..5! Like he use to do on xplay haha
We covered that
+Ughash Eggash It's "5.. out of 5!", not "5 out of.. 5!". The pause after the first number.

sessler needs to start his own little network. it would be my go-to. the man is a fucking legend and incredibly insightful and intelligent.
Totally off-topic, but your thumbnails are some of the most effective and iconic i've ever seen on RUclips. Props to the web graphics person in your team.
Adam should be part of Kinda Funny and Kinda Gunny Games.
megamar Why so they could go out of business and shut down too?
lastwolflord C'mon man! Adam Sessler has more knowgledge of videogames and the videogame industry than all those guys combined.
megamar In that room who knows. Also Always remember you have plenty of time to prep for a t.v. show. And if you ever seen him play video games he's pretty terrible at it.

Damn that sucks man. I remember how long that game was and doing everything took me at least 30 hrs.
I love how Tim just looks at the camera and stares for a few seconds lol
Holy hell, hearing Adam speak brings back memories. So glad to see that he's doing well.
I love Adam he is awesome. So psyched you guys had him on.
Why so much hate on Adam Sessler?
Hardy Harr I know. I haven't watched this video yet, but I miss Adam.
He full out advocated doxxing people as long as you do it to the "right" people. In this context he meant anyone who is part of #GamerGate.
***** Everyone in LA does Cocaine.
Mostly because he's a bigot online.
ddmeightball That's too bad. I really liked him before he left.
Adam! So glad to see you back!
Love that Sessler is on here
Nick's reaction was priceless on Adam's famous ohio's christmas channel story. thank god someone finally said it
Adam is a legend. He has more gaming knowledge than any host I've ever seen.
***** Then you haven't seen most host.
Sessler has such an innate ability to elucidate a point or covey a thought. It's a pleasure to watch him speak.
He's a master of the craft next to Ted price from insomniac they both are the people who give games good names!

Awesome video. Why are we not getting the full intro? The full show should be uploaded with the full intro. That would seem to be common sense to me.
I miss Feedback so much...Love ya Adam! Great episode guys!
He joined Rev 3 Games, Rev 3 Games was already popular with Tara Long, Max and Tony.
Adam Sessler is like the Alton Brown of gaming. ^_^

wish we coulda got 5 topics this was one of the best
Kinda Funny should move to the east coast!
Atari 5200 was the first with an analog controller, I believe
Saturn had the 3d stick for Nights around the same time n64 launched. Think maybe the 64 beat it by a month or two but the sega control was really comfortable.
Put the long intro on the full episodes guys :(
Ok, the end of the episode is now going to give me nightmares.
ah, 20 floppy doom install. Don't miss that.
I Miss Adam Sessler he made Rev 3 games
I've missed that beautiful beard, Nick.
This podcast is 5 out...five
I'd prefer to be R2D2. In my eyes the entire series is about R2D2 and his sidekick C3PO telling the story as seen from their perspective.

Guys!!! Please keep your videos under 1 hour.
2 hours is just beyond ridiculous.
Van TheFEED Beyond! Totally disagree! So happy I get 2 hours of Sessler!
You know you could just watch one hour of it right? Do that then quit whining.
Evan Salina turbo agree!! I've been having Sessler withdrawals for months now lol
Van TheFEED Their twitch show is over a hour. That's why this is long. 5 days a week they are live on twitch.
Eagle Rare, good choice. Bulleit, not so much.
I vote Nick most likelyto become Scolar Visari of the San Fransisco Federal Prison complex, and correctional reservation.

This is why I don't like comic books and in turn live theater. This along with fractured collections and being sick of collecting.
Try the www.comics.community podcast for your comics talk!
Ugh !!!! Sessler slow week @ kinda Funny . i feel your pain too Colin
Awesome episode, Comics are too damn complicated for me to get into. I'll stick to Manga.
