Great video, thanks! did you ever get round to doing a video around the salt tabs / sweat testing. I am worried about hydration and fuelling ahead of my first 50 next year.... Appreciate your support!

You know I did it one of my videos I'm sure I did but it wasnt specifically about that so if couldnt tell you which one it was haha. I definitely use them on longer runs now (though haven't had one of those in a while!) So I recommend them for sure. I've played with hydration a lot over different distances and I feel it will vary. You just need to be clear of where your next aid station will be and the effort that it's going to take to get there and adjust accordingly. Always make sure you leave the aid stations with your containers full and I can recommend tailwind as another great source for lost salts and electrolytes. Good luck in the 50! I'm working my way back from taking a long time out ut I still plan to reach my 100 goal in either 2021 or early 2022.

I’ve just invested in some poles and waiting for them to arrive. I have the same pack as you and wondered how you attached them. Do you find they stay put when you run and are they easy enough get in and out from where you have them on your back?

Heya. I can do a short video if you like on how to attach them. Tbh it depends on whether you're poles fold into thirds or halves. As mine went into thirds, I kind of made my own way up. The pack does have a specific way for poles that fold to half length though.

Good luck with the 50 miler ultra, looks like a lot of gear, what does it weigh all up?

Cheers pal. Haven't weighed it yet but I'll let you know! It's noticeable but not as horrible as you'd think. Most the things I've chosen are quite lightweight tbh.
