Police: 'Badly decomposed' body found behind vacant East Cleveland funeral home

  • A dead body was found behind a vacant funeral home in East Cleveland, acting police chief Kenneth Lundy confirmed.
    Lundy told 3News via email that the body was "badly decomposed." It was found behind 15357 Euclid Avenue.
    According to Cuyahoga County property records, the building at the address where the body was found was purchased by a company called Shaw's Funeral Home Inc. in 2021.
    Lundy told 3News there is currently "very little information I can provide" about the body. Lundy said the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office was contacted and responded.
