This needs to be Donald Trump's theme song and have it timed as he is pumping his fists while shouting 'fight, fight' moments after almost being assassinated.
I was 7 years old when the Karate Kid came out. I remember my parents took me to the theater, way before stadium seating existed.. lol Such awesome memories, will never forget as I got older we would go to Golf N Stuff it was cool.. Awesome performance, still sound the same.. 👍
What an epic moment to have in your life and on tape. Getting to play an iconic song like this with the man who brought it to life. Love that his voice sounds the same all these years later. Amazing.
I definitely saw magic. As a child of the 80's, this brings back awesome memories. It was so humble of both of you to perform this live in a house and share it on RUclips. I was just listening to Lady Lady Lady and discovered that it was Joe Esposito who sings it. Great playing and singing. .
Actually, I was thinking abut this the other day. The 80's was a real age for music writers to write songs specifically for movie soundtracks. Kenny Loggins especially was on fire in the 80's!
at that age still being able to sing that is fricky amazing, obviously a guy who has looked after his voice, awesome joe, and thankyou Mat for sharing.
This Truthfully warms my heart. I see someone passing his art on to a younger student. At 2:29, when Joe starts singing "A little bit of all you got", you can see the passion. May this tune live forever!!
Joe Esposito, Joe Pizzulo, Frank Stallone, Michael Sembello, Lou Pardini... my top 5 Italian pop tenors ... slick guitar solo of Mat Franco in this video btw 👍
Fantastic ! Never heard this song live. Really great, your guitar sounds amazing in this song Mat! Really nice to hear Joe Esposito singing so well! Congratulations Mat Franco !
That was great! Loved it, Joe is still incredible, still got that magic. This definitely would have been an honour to sing with this amazing talented legendary singer.
That was better than the recorded version in the movie. That song is one of the things that MADE the movie what it was. I can't believe you had the opportunity to jam with Joe Esposito like that. AWESOME!
Brings back alot of good memories Joe! Often wondered how you felt watching the kk tournament scene with your song over that scene! As an 80s kid singing this song made every play fight scene with my brothers/ friends growing up even better! Well done man!
Beautiful I nearly cried because I know how it feels to be miserable but never giving up and to keep on trying 💯🔥❤ Fight til you drop, never stop can't give up until you reach the top 🙂
What a great performer. Almost everybody's voice changes and matures as they age, and it's not usually kind to the sort of rock that was popular in the 1980s. He's kept his top range amazingly well for a guy in his '70s. I think only a few of the greats, John Fogerty and Little Richard, kept a powerful top register into that age. So glad to see he's still got it!
WOW!! The Karate Kid is on AMC as I’m writing this and the tournament scene is in full swing, I wanted to see if there was a live version of this song. Totally blown away, I love this song. So inspirational, thank you guys.
Fun Fact: This song was made for one of the Rocky movies. You could hear it in the lyrics. UPDATE: According to Wikipedia, it was intended for Rocky 3 but replaced with "Eye of the Tiger". It was also turned down for the movie, Flashdance.
I ran into it by accident while surfing the net. Had to listen to it some 5 times. Finish that and I had my gear on and went running in snow up to my shins, snowfall and wind blowing everyone indoors. Ran 14 km and when I entered the house I still had my adrenaline at top levels! The power of this music is unbelievable.
Seriously, I'd be down for Joe Esposito playing a today's version of the song at some point in Cobra Kai. His voice today can definitely add a rich vibe.
Just discovered this video...literally brought a tear to my eye watching a legend perform a legendary song!!! Thank you so much! (I was providing backing vocals wherever required) Fight! Fight! Thanks guys
👍👍This was SO GOOD!!!! His voice was really good, as well as his guitar playing, and the passion!!! They both did an excellent job performing that song together!!! 😎✌️
Great guitar work, and I was really taken back by Joe's vocals. I haven't had the opportunity to see him live. I am very impressed by his timelessness. Bravo!
Oh my Gosh, seriously, how did you pull this together??? Only the best song from the best movie of all time I'm dazzled, he's still got it, wow wow wow
I heard him play at Microsoft and was in SHOCK he could still sound EXACTLY the same as 1984.
Joe still got it. Got chills in my back.
Exactamente!!
Volví a los 80's en segundos
Jose Viruete He sure does! Great video!
Monstrar mulheres nuas
Awesome
As a huge Karate Kid fan, hearing Joe sing the song at his current age and still kill it... that is inspiring!!! That was awesome!!!!
Came out so smooth.
i am about to cry....
Man I was thinking the same thing. Still has an awesome voice
This needs to be Donald Trump's theme song and have it timed as he is pumping his fists while shouting 'fight, fight' moments after almost being assassinated.
A classic song we should listen to daily once we stepped out of our homes. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This video should be a national treasure.
Karate Kid would not be what it is without this spectacular song, almost 40 years after Joe is still the best around!
💯 agree!
did you know it was meant to be for rocky but they went with eye of the tiger, I cant see it as a rocky song, but maybe thats because its all we know
Absolutely agree!!!
One of the favorite parts of the movie for me - thanks in large part to this amazing song!!!
His voice tone is just killer!
How is it possible that is not a single live version from the 80's?
I don't think I'm alone, I find this incredibly inspiring. Love it.
THE GREATEST SONG FROM A MOVIE SOUNDTRACK OF ALL-TIME!!!!!!
He’s gotta have a cameo in Cobra Kai.
Couldn’t agree more!!
Omg that would be the best around!!
@@themightyapefish agree! Something like that would be very cool
@@MatFranco as a street buska.
They could have him saying your the best around nothing evers gonna keep ya down. They can fit that line in somehow
Great memories of the summer of 1984. Awesome rendition. Thanks!
Old boy can still sing. It’s such a great song. I’ve loved it since I was about 10 and watching when that movie came out.
That had to be an honor to play with Joe Esposito! kid you deserve a blackbelt.
James Radski SUCH an honor! Blackbelt accepted!
He's still got it !! Cobra Kai....never die....
He STILL sounds good!!!!! I love it!!
That joy on "Fight" is just pure love to old times
This, young people, is what true musical talent looks like. Not the garbage being put out there today
People have been saying that since the beginning of music. Just appreciate this without being a dickhead
COBRA KAI NEVER DIES !
STRIKE FIRST STRIKE HARD NEVER WAIT FOR THE ENEMY TO ATTACK COBRA KAIIIIIIII
FEAR DOES NOT EXIST IN THIS DOJO, DOES IT?
Never
Cobra kai sucks this song was not made for them
@@sassthathoopyfrood lmao
Joe still can always claim he sung the Best Karate Kid song ever. And no one could take that away from him.
Dudes still got it! Wow. This song was my entire childhood.
I was 7 years old when the Karate Kid came out. I remember my parents took me to the theater, way before stadium seating existed.. lol

What an epic moment to have in your life and on tape. Getting to play an iconic song like this with the man who brought it to life. Love that his voice sounds the same all these years later. Amazing.
This song is pure legend, a Holy Grail a block buster. This guy can really sing he has that true 80’s spirit
Felicidades Joe Esposito...saludos desde Monterrey Mexico
Wow, this is an exceptional version. Joe's vocals are still there, which is rare for a man of his age.
The voice is still there in spades. Love it.
That gave me goosebumps, what a motivational song. Reminds me of being a kid in the 80s and thinking I could do anything.
You still can!!
.....fighttttt
his singing has actually gotten even BETTER than it was in the 80s, amazing performance

Years go by,strength is leaving but his voice and spirit its still there...Joe you re the best!!!!
They dont write songs like this anymore. Bringing back the memories
Yeah I know, what happened to music like this??? I'm going to do a cover of this song for sure in tribute to CobraKai. Oh yeah
Actually, I was thinking abut this the other day. The 80's was a real age for music writers to write songs specifically for movie soundtracks. Kenny Loggins especially was on fire in the 80's!

JOE "BEAN" ESPOSITO, YOU ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST.
So cool to hear any live performance that captures all the life of produced recording - and finds some new life of its own. Loved this.
There's no word that can describe this ... it's simply Gorgeous & Epic!! YOU'RE THE BEST AROUND JOE!!

Wow!!! what a great pride to have accompanied this great composer, musician and singer !!! I grew up listening to this song!
Someone should send this to Ralph & William and the writers of, "Cobra Kai!"
They have all seen this and praised it publicly!! Great show with great creators!
They should use this track in the series

I think it would have fit in Rocky too.
In fact Apollo says "you are the best" several times. Maybe it is a signal.
By the way, this song was co-writen by Bill Conti, music composer of both movies
Very nice!!
It fits KK better
