      Depends what are you looking for? Buying or Leasing. Something different or what everyone has. What are your expectations regarding performance. RCF M4 C63 all great cars all different as well, they just happen to be luxury performance coupes.

    I love my 2020 RCF. I happened to test drive a black 2019 on the dealer lot then he took me to the back and there it was a 2020 face lifted version. White exterior, white leather interior. Every option I built online and it was there in the flesh. I don't consider this a competitor to the m3/m4 c63..etc. It's a completely different animal. Sounds great once you put an exhaust on it, but typical Lexus reliablility... best of all only 282 2020 RCF's were sold in the USA. I NEVER see this car around where I live. I love the fact that it's not everywhere. Interior is a nice place to be. A bit dated but that's to be expected... it's Japanese...lol Everyone talking about how 500hp isn't enough.. it's MORE than enough for the street. I can be going 100+ mph on the highway and it's doesn't even feel like it. It's truly insanely comfortable.

      I like the duality of xclusivity yet relative ease of maintenance, for most other brands exclusivity normally translates to ownership nightmares. You can take your rcf to a toyota dealership and they wont scratch their heads or tell you they dont have the specialised tools/skills to service it, but you cant take a porsche to a VW carshop for servicing.

    There is something to be said about Japanese 5.0 v8 they are truly unique. I've owned 3 lexus vehicles and currently have owned my 2011 ISF for nearly 10yrs 104k miles DD it for 7 year. The car has been FBO for 9 yrs RR Racing tune and tuned intake for few yrs now running E30 blend, figs engineering LCA, currently on Airlift 3H suspension, the lSF has been flawless just like my other Lexus vehicles. With it's current mods ISF still competitive against its modern revivals both German and American at 514 crank hp 436whp it holds its own. The same holds true for RCF GSF and LC500 all unique cars that will be gone in few years. There so many bench racers out there its joke, comparing how one car is half second faster than other there for its superior to its rivals when in real world it's more than just number it's also how it makes you feel plus on public roads you can never truly take advantage of any of these cars. Whether it be RCF M4 C63 etc.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +7

      That is awesome my friend and yes couldn't have said it better myself, how the car feels on the road is what is most important. I just reviewed the M3 but I still love and would probably take the RC F over that, especially the M4. Lexus is just the better street car to me

In NY for me its better to car that can handle on some nice tight twisty roads as well as straight line. Big heavy HP cars like Hellcats are fun but are bit more one dimensional.

    the weight of the RCF is overrated by journalist... The M4 is lighter mostly because it has a smaller 3.0 6cyl and the AMG C63, RS5 are both heavier than the RCF with smaller motors. Most cars with v8s weigh ~200lbs more than a 6cyl so thats explainable when comparing the weight to an M4 but not a single journalist will tell the truth; they just act like the RCF is the heaviest car ever built with a sloppy chassis... haters.
    Thr RCF is ALL MOTOR with style, comfort, performance and reliability. A combination you cannot find anywhere else and thats why I love the car

      Yup facts

    • @RandenMontalvo
      @RandenMontalvo 3 года назад

      To be fair the weight is more chassis orientated and is far more witnessed on a track. The issue is the weight is not managed by the hybrid chassis well. The LC chassis is far better suited for the engine then the RC which dynamically is just a step behind anything in its class. It doesn’t handle as well as the Germans sadly. The L500 gets it right however it begs for more power. The RCF is a great street car that really gets exposed on the track meanwhile the M4 for instance does duel duty very well. Thats the difference.

    As time moves on my retirement gift to myself has now changed. This RCF or RC 350 F sport will be my choices. Mustang GT isn’t reliable enough. A C5 or C6 might be an option but this RCF really has impressed me. a 2015-17 version would by my choice or a later RC 350 FSport
    Was even thinking of Toyota Supra 3.0 premium BUT Overall it’s a BMW mechanically so long term reliability especially with a turbo is definitely a deficiency so that has dropped off my list.
    Looking at 5 years from now when I retire so I’ll have plenty of time to test drive them. And of course Lexus reliability is unparalleled!

    Love love love your videos and the straight up, “this is my driving and experience opinion” take on cars. I like that you also test across the board and try used cars too. Great stuff. I recently went from an RC 300 f sport (i4 turbo) to a 350 fsport. Worlds apart! I’m just here for the rcf eye candy. Slight correction though. For model year 2020, if you get the Mark Levinson system, be it in the RCF or the RC 350, you will get the silver knobs for volume and tuning controls. Regular premium radio gets the black knobs. Quick question: What tyres would you recommend for this rcf and the rc 350?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +1

      I'm suoer humbled to hear that my friend and massive congrats on your new acquisition that is an incredible ride!
      And thanks for clarifying about the knobs that helps. As far as tires, the Micheline Pilot 4s this came with will of course provide great grip however, an aggressive all season might be enough certainly for the RC 350 F sport I think the perfect tire is the Michelin Pilot AS3 Plus aggressive all season tire or a Continental Extreme Contact.
      For the RC F its currently like 90 degrees as I test these cars and the grip is still kind skiddish, not too much but you feel the rear move a bit when you floor it so maybe stick with the Michelin 4S this car comes with since its bespoke made for this car
      Hope this helps!

      Exhaust Sports Auto Is it possible to review a ats v?

      Its such a rare car but I really want to. I did do a review on a CTS V if you would like to check that out. I will be doing an F80 M3 review tho

    Kevin, you mention in the video that the LC500 has a superior suspension even to the LFA. I didn’t think they were similar or on the same level at all. What makes you say that? I thought the LFA was a full carbon tub made custom just for that car.

    Are the RC the cars Lexus uses in auto racing? Can you talk about Lexus and sport cars racing?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +1

      I dont follow much racing but yes they have an RC GT3 racing car and they have an LC racing car as well. I know the LC race car used a twin turbo V8 which was supposed to be used in the LC F road car but due to current economic conditions, Lexus stopped working on the LC F that's about all I know

    How's this compare to the f type that you previously tested? Pros and cons of each?

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад

      F Type rides noticeably stiffer and interior is not as solid or nice as the Lexus but I think the F type feels more raw, slippery, and fun to drive. RC F can also get skiddish as well and can be fun too but as a street car I think I like the RC F a tad better but it's close cant go wrong with either two of my most favorite cars.
      LC 500 annihilates both tho

    Do you think a limited slip differential is an option you'd go for or not necessary on the street?

      LSD does make little drifts fun and easy I do like it when cars come with it but Im sure it will go sideways no problem even without because its so powerful. I haven't driven a model without it however

    How does this compare to am Is-f with the lsd (post 2010 models)?

      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад

      So I only tried the 08 but the RC F is like a more polished vehicle in every category but nothing wrong with the IS F, still a great driving car especially for the right price like the 20k range. I actually think the engine sounds a bit cooler in the IS F

    I would think they'd do away with CD player by now but I guess a bunch of geezers (like me) still have them (I don't). Younger audience would think it's place to deposit money or something.

      Hahah yea I know right a money safe lol. CDs are apparently the best way to listen to music the only way to get the most out of the ML audio but most will just stream from bluetooth or Aux

      @@MeynMotorGroup I'm 53 (yikes an antique I know) and haven't used a CD a solid 6 years at least. I don't know, then again they are Lexus they know damn well what they're doing.

      Yea my dad doesn't use it either haha he just connects with Bluetooth even though he has a ton of CDs. Lexus is an interesting car company they try to think of everyone. And thanks again sir for stopping by on this review

    when are they going to remake this body style seriously. It has been around since 2006 come on Lexus....this body style is so out dated. Honestly thinking about putting 10 grand down on this car and being broke after lol.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +1

      This has only been out since 2015 lol 😆
      Yea do it after thinking about it there aren't many coupes that are this practical with usable back seats and a trunk and since Lexus stopped making V8s, this will be very desirable
