The reason for the steering wheel to not be automatic is actually for safety reasons. With the automatic tilt steering wheel it doesn’t move in a full frontal crash. With the manual it moves and doesn’t smash the driver if god forbid a high full frontal crash occurs.
I've had my RCF for three years now. With the new facelift and minor upgrades on the new RCF I think I will keep mines for another year or two. New one might get rid of the V8 and opt out for their twin turbo V6. Who knows.

This is one of those cars that won't be fully appreciated until a decade from now, long after it's gone forever. I can see some RUclipsr taking this car out and lamenting the fact they never had the chance to buy one new since they were too young/poor or both at the time..much like I was with the original IS 300 and that sweet straight 6 that was available with a manual at the time. Having said that, this track edition is awesome, but too pricey for what you get for the money. Carbon ceramic brakes are cool and all that, but not really practical unless you really will be tracking this thing regularly...and if you do there are better cars for that purpose for the same or less money.
This is a good review for pointing out the difference between the Track Edition and the "regular RC F. But one thing I wonder, and it regards your comment that exhaust crackles are "how everything is going in the industry" (around 13:41); what if RUclips reviewers such as yourself stopped bringing it up?
I hate the crackles, every time I hear a car that does it makes me think of a cheap Honda with a fart can. This RCF exhaust sounds beautiful the way it is.
I have an ISF. I really love these cars because I don't track it every day, the spec sheet isn't all that matters. These cars are way more unique than a BMW that you see everywhere
Really really cool initiative from Lexus And they kept the N/A V8 But it's still way too heavy for a N/A " performance " version of a sports car Maybe some rich enthusiasts wil buy it but no is not worth 100K at all
How many of you buy sports cars and set lap records with them? This can do laps reliably and consistently and still have road use. That's the whole point. Otherwise you're welcome to tune your own car. Some folks want a vehicle that they can buy and track immediately.
I'm watching this video again little more than 1 year after and I can still remember my own expression then watching this video, especially @14:25. I have 2015 IS350 and someday, hope to get this track edition RC F. :)
Tony Skafidas 4.7 turnt into 4.6 for better fuel economy, both found in the LS460 and the detuned GX460. Tony Skafidas but in truth, the UR family did replace the UZ, but the underlining architecture of smooth and linear power v8 is the same for both engine families.

@@orlandovelastegui1391 If we’re talking about used cars then you’re right. But for people that buy/lease new cars usually don’t keep them for more than 3-6 years so the reliability isn’t that important. So if you remove the reliability thing then the Germans make the best cars

I don't know what's your problem with lexus cars they looks amazing and unique, high quality, but still u keep complaining almost about every thing I can't take u seriously any more
Interior & exterior are always subjective. But value of a used RCF should be a 9/10, and the track edition should be a whole 1/10. Quality is def a 9-9.5, my RCF is built like a tank weight and mechanically talking. But you never buy a coupe for practicality ever. The only thing you need in a coupe is a good sized trunk and the RCF comes with the standard size. Practicality for a coupe i'd say 9 if you prefer a car that will last and is low maintenance, and a 5 if you're buying it for performance.
You can say that The interior of this car is old, but is much better looking than the m4 our the mercedez, to me is like a swiss watch, is classic and timeless.
honestly i don't think the price is that bad considering the base RCF is cheaper than the base M4. this is more of a competitor to the M4 CS which is also more expensive than the RCF track edition.
The exhaust note sounds good but doesn't compare with the exhaust note of the LC500. The LC500 for a GT sounds amazing. For a 102K, spend an extra 4K and buy a Lexus LC with Performance package and 21" tires. Driving the LC500 is a unique experience.
Sorry lexus. Always pay way too much money for the least perfomance in its class. My 2015 ctsv smokes this easily and is way functional and easier to drive. You have to drive one to understand gm really made a well balance car.

Torsen Diff is also std on the "base" RCF...tvd only avail on the performance package, so base rcf and track edition have same mechanical diff 2 Never had fold down seats, only pass through Also can you tell Doug demuro he is an idiot Thanks Overall good review...find dry roads for v8s
Glad Lexus makes this but from concept it has been a compromised vehicle since it's a mash of two existing platforms; that's why the normal RCF is so heavy. The rcf still used an old platform. Shoulda just take the A90 Supra and shove the V8 in it, that thing would be a beast.
Wayyy to heavy for that and they wanted to strictly be a tunable 6 cylinder so the V8 option was already axed anyway.
14:33 that smile on your dial is the reason you buy a car like this! if your current car doesn't do that to you then its time for one that does!
Wow that’s a great looking car ! I love the exhaust pipes
I love the exhaust note without the crackles.
Superb! I love this vehicle. Personally I’d remove the rear wing. Great video 👍
JLo yes but that boxy godzilla still have the power
I love it, When you get rid of it, can I have it as it's worth more than all my cars?🤣
The reason for the steering wheel to not be automatic is actually for safety reasons. With the automatic tilt steering wheel it doesn’t move in a full frontal crash. With the manual it moves and doesn’t smash the driver if god forbid a high full frontal crash occurs.
I heard some Lexus and Toyota models may get Android Auto for 2020. I hope they do.
DSTY They do
Tacoma finally
The new TRDs are getting them
Kell Lessley All 2020 Toyotas with Entune 3.0 have Android Auto
That instrument ring does not move, like other F models. The speedometer is fixed on this model, which means the tach is stationary.
I've had my RCF for three years now. With the new facelift and minor upgrades on the new RCF I think I will keep mines for another year or two. New one might get rid of the V8 and opt out for their twin turbo V6. Who knows.
I love Lexus and the F-series vehicles (IS-F, GS-F etc) but I wouldn't get this one, the track edition specifically. The RC-F on its own starts at ~$65k and the track edition starts at.......$97k. That is LC500 money lol.
I guess if you REALLLLY like the look of it but meh
Thats over ten grand more than a GS-F, wtf
I guess if you really like the look of it - you can spend much less money on modifying exterior.
Love your authentic reviews, bro. Thanks for the good Lexus piece.
One of the most underrated sports car 💀
Tazrian Tariq because it could've been better ,, its not bad but its like an A+ student getting a "B"
damianraver thats LC500 money lol
@damianraver That GTR is sooo old.
4:19 Bro, You need Fuel !!
I like the old front more with the separate daytime running lights.
Tom Foolery me too it’s more aggressive I’m keeping my 2015 rcf
@@lexusrcf2441 Exactly. This new design isn't necessarily ugly, but it looks generic as hell
Tom Foolery yeah man I agree 💯
this is the engine that the supra needed :(
Miguel Tovar no
No... the 3.0 i6 tt is perfect get over it
@@TheV8Pumpkin psst! 6 cylinders sound like shit. Supra just needed to stay dead period! Remodeled BMW Z4!
I agree because that engine in it right now is a crappy BMW engine complete garbage
I personally wouldn't mind a 800 hp V12 with all wheel drive for the supra. Make it Happen Toyota!
@@angelhr79 yes, maybe some sorts like the louder pops and crackles. So to each his own, but not my thing.
I have an ISF. I really love these cars because I don't track it every day, the spec sheet isn't all that matters. These cars are way more unique than a BMW that you see everywhere
I’ve driven both and Lexus just dropped off a 2020 LC500H and for the price, I’d get an LC! Such a head turner too!
Really really cool initiative from Lexus
And they kept the N/A V8
But it's still way too heavy for a N/A " performance " version of a sports car
Maybe some rich enthusiasts wil buy it but no is not worth 100K at all
Initiative* no disrespect
@@dedan2 No problem 👍
English is not my native language
How many of you buy sports cars and set lap records with them? This can do laps reliably and consistently and still have road use. That's the whole point. Otherwise you're welcome to tune your own car. Some folks want a vehicle that they can buy and track immediately.
I'm watching this video again little more than 1 year after and I can still remember my own expression then watching this video, especially @14:25. I have 2015 IS350 and someday, hope to get this track edition RC F. :)
Track version yet a regular M4 will smoke this thing on the track.
sam I am an RCF owner and that is not true. And anyway I wouldn’t care, RCF is much more beautiful and exclusive.
Its crazy how the startup of the v8’s still sounds the same to this day, my ls400 from 99 has the same sound.
Tony Skafidas it’s the same family of engines, the lineage is there with the UR engine family.
Thats interesting, i knew that the 4.3 and 4.7 are just edited versions of the 4.0, i didn’t know the newer ones were still relateable
Huy Thai, wouldn’t it be more relateable to the 4.6 that replaced the UZ in 07?
Tony Skafidas 4.7 turnt into 4.6 for better fuel economy, both found in the LS460 and the detuned GX460. The same architecture was used to produce the 5.7 and 5.0. 5.7 found in the LX, Land Cruiser, Tundra etc. the 5.0 was first tuned for the ultra luxurious LS600hl, then tuned for the ISF and so on.
Tony Skafidas but in truth, the UR family did replace the UZ, but the underlining architecture of smooth and linear power v8 is the same for both engine families.
Supercharged this thing and ho hoo hooo
I would never get a BMW over a Lexus or Toyota. I remember driving a Toyota like 15 years ago and driving a Lexus 10 years ago never will get a BMW instead of a Lexus.
only in your eyes, Toyota the best in the worlds
Aside from the reliability, BMW is better than Lexus in every way
@@kristians2704 in your mind !
@@kristians2704 it’s the best in Being in the Shop or being fix by Mechanic. I buy a car to drive not to bring to the shop all the time😂
@@orlandovelastegui1391 If we’re talking about used cars then you’re right. But for people that buy/lease new cars usually don’t keep them for more than 3-6 years so the reliability isn’t that important. So if you remove the reliability thing then the Germans make the best cars
Better Than m4 🔥
The biggest problem with the 2020 Track Edition is it's price. There are better options out there for the same money or less. I still love my IS-F though :)
You're better off buying the Lexus LC 500
Different cars different purpose.
great car on track u will enjoy every single corner
You put 400 pounds of weight reduction in the description but it was 150 pounds
DisneyChannelFlow 2 hello MrTLexify
I don't know what's your problem with lexus cars they looks amazing and unique, high quality, but still u keep complaining almost about every thing
I can't take u seriously any more
Lexus can't sell the regular versions of the car so they go and make a $100k version!
Tell me any car company that really sell any cars over that price?
style 20 can only think of a Porsche with their 911s
@@vanham5742 you sure people really buy those expensive Porsche and not lease them?
Great car, Lexus showing its sporty prowess
Not everything depends on 0 to 60 lol
Stick with your Miata or FRS. Leave us real car guys be...
You were having way too much fun. Loved it.
This would be perfect in AWD but then it would be heavier
JustJay 0312 naw, grow some balls and enjoy a proper rwd
Can you please show the rear of the vehicle when it's time to hear the exhaust please !!! It's much better that way.
Exterior: 7/10
Interior: 8/10
Quality: 9/10
Practicality: 4/10
Performance: 6/10
Value: 6/10
Overall: 40/60
The sterring wheel doesn't look that good
@Omar Said for $100k it deserves a better wheel for sure.
Agreed. But this still looks better than the new Supra's...that one is a joke.
the car is a work of art, BMW can't compete with art. I just hope the infotainment system is better than before
WHERE IS TOYOTA4LIFE??
honestly i don't think the price is that bad considering the base RCF is cheaper than the base M4. this is more of a competitor to the M4 CS which is also more expensive than the RCF track edition.
I heard "japans bmw M4?" and thought "the supra??"
*sprays and wipes glasses* IS THAT A SUPRA??
No matter how successful I am I’m never spending this much money on a vehicle.
You would if you had a couple million.
Solid car but worth $100k?? HELL NAH
no car is ever worth the money in youtube comment section
@@stevornrichards1380 that's only to people who hate every car that doesn't appeal to them
The exhaust note sounds good but doesn't compare with the exhaust note of the LC500. The LC500 for a GT sounds amazing.
For a 102K, spend an extra 4K and buy a Lexus LC with Performance package and 21" tires. Driving the LC500 is a unique experience.
Too heavy to be a real sports car
Love your videos, Sofyan!
Sorry lexus. Always pay way too much money for the least perfomance in its class. My 2015 ctsv smokes this easily and is way functional and easier to drive. You have to drive one to understand gm really made a well balance car.
People purchase a Lexus for the craftsmanship and superior reliability, not performance.
It’s still running
Great video
Awesome car
Hideous spoiler should have left it as retractable much smoother looking.
No Android auto because Android is for peasants.
My mom had a 1998 Nokia 5110 and my dad a 2005 Nokia 1100. Both are superior to Android and iPhone.
Ever seen a BMW, Mercedes Benz with 100,000 miles, Lexus will definitely drive 200,000, reliability definitely defines Lexus
I love red. Black combined with red is fabulous.. I would get the black car red interior or 2 tone
This Car deserve a little bit more respect 💯💪 Sir!!!
I love my 2015 rc f amazing car stands out with beauty and so fun to drive
VLAND headlights were definitely taken into consideration by Lexus.
This video convinced me. Thank you sir.
As an rcf owner, couple of factual corrections to your review:
1. Torsen Diff is also std on the "base" RCF...tvd only avail on the performance package, so base rcf and track edition have same mechanical diff
2 Never had fold down seats, only pass through
Also can you tell Doug demuro he is an idiot
Thanks
Overall good review...find dry roads for v8s
Glad Lexus makes this but from concept it has been a compromised vehicle since it's a mash of two existing platforms; that's why the normal RCF is so heavy.
I owned an E90 M3, I enjoyed the car but it didn't really feel twice the cost of a loaded pony car for me. ZL1 or just a nicely optioned Vette for me.
Love that interior. And the look is sweet
It sounds a lil synthetic to me...is it playing the exhaust through the speakers?
When he says the “F” word you know he loved the vehicle!
Which one would you take the Mustang 5.0 gt or Lexus 2020 RC F Track?
There is something Toyota Celica looking about it from the rear side angles. 0:58
How do they only give apple carplay to the rcf but to their other models they give Android Auto and Apple Carplay?
