I agree with the calipers. Red definitely is for the fast sport version of a vehicle, but you need something else for the version above that like this car is. It should be blue, matching the blue that's on the engine at 7:46.
You might have to short-shift out of first gear before the variable valve lift kicks in (@ 5,000 rpms give or take). Short-shift out of first and full send into second might net the best launches on an un-prepped drag surface. Otherwise, stand by for smoke lol.
Hehe. Reliable. Harris Hill SCCA track night in June, and an rcf was the only car that died and had to be towed off the track. And there were a lot of old bombs.
The red carpeting makes it a bit much for my taste. The fact we can’t get the track edition in black in the U.S. is disappointing. Other than that, it’s amazing! I have an IS F. This motor has proven itself since 2007. I might consider an LC500 in the future.
6:15 from the side it kinda looks like they welded the new BRZ/GT86 (2022) with the previous ones (yes, old is GR86 I know I know) and made it bigger. No point being made just an observation
@14min You guys are talking about how it feels like the transmission shifts and feels like it shifts again before taking off - I have a RCF and it was killing me, I was thinking how can it shift again but the gear doesn’t change. After a lot of research I found it is the torque converter fully locking. Apparently, a feature of this transmission is that it fully locks around 2k in every gear but 1st. They must have programmed the car to dip the fuel or something right before locking up to reduce wear or something? Who knows, but now that I know I have been able to avoid all of that by downshifting an extra gear to keep the revs up or just be conscious that if the revs drop below 2k or so I will have a dip in acceleration if I need to take off quickly.
Just priced this out in Canada ... it's more like CAD$142,131.87 and that's cash payment which includes the track package and taxes, etc. Kinda pricey when you also add in the fact that it's gonna need premium fuel at a top dollar. Only the rich it seems ...
