@@AnontheGOAT I have an E90 (V8) M3. Which I love even more than those two Lexus’s. I mentioned the newer gen M/AMG/RS products which really don’t appeal to me at all compared to the RCF/GSF. After 2013 german cars kinda lost all appeal to me.
@@AnontheGOAT Yes having an N/A powerplant is definitely a factor but its not entirely the reason. For example; I test drove an F80 a few weeks ago with my mind set on "upgrading" and although it is vastly superior in almost every way to my E90, it just doesn't have that special something that makes me smile like a child in my M3. Same thing applies for the W204 C63 compared to a W205. Sure, the newer stuff might be superior mechanically but there's something of cars built in the early 2000's up to 2013 that the more modern counterparts just lack.Maybe its just more modern cars are too technologically complex, have too many safety systems and are more disconnected. Even the Audi RS products now feel more like appliances than actual sports cars (Compare the B7 and B8 RS4/5 to the newer ones). In my opinion the RCF and GSF are older cars that just happen to be released in 2017 onwards. Just like lets say a nismo 370z. @rvidal0001 that's not even a logical reason. No one every complained about the price or the reliability. They last for ever and new vs new Lexus is cheaper
Always happens. Happened with the ISF and LFA.
From an engineering perspective the cars could be… interesting. From a performance standpoint they aren’t special. A dealership was begging me to buy the lc500 convertible they had.
I don’t think anyone cares they are discontinuing their v8 engines. I wouldn’t buy one thinking it will retain its value.
@@TheCrownedLionthey're extremely comfortable, fun, amazing sounding cars that get looks
Just like with the LFA, performance is an afterthought, because Lexus knows you aren't gonna hit the top speed except in a straight line
And if top speed is everything to you, you aren't considering these cars or their competitors

That would be amazing
That thing would snapped in half 🤪 death trap
Genuinely some of the best cars we’ve tested too. That LC500 sucks on paper, but it is hands down one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever driven.
A lot of other car reviewers miss the point of these cars and get hung up on the 0 to 60 times and all the specs. Its great to see you guys understand what Lexus was trying to do here. I love the Lexus performance brand and you guys did an amazing job of capturing what makes these cars special. Thank you! Keep up the great work
I got 2019 RCF from my manual 2015 WRX thanks to all your Lexus RCF, GSF and LC videos. Helped me really pick something more special.
Your videos are ALMOST as high quality as the Lexus cars themselves !!!! And that’s saying a TON
Such underappreciated gems. I will sorely miss these cars. I hope to one day own one.
Steal one...its cheaper than buying it.
These vids are also underappreciated gems
never been so proud to own a lexus. the older I get the more I want something reliable fun and very comfortable. as someone who lives next to a track I cant think of a better all around vehicle
This channel should get millions and millions of subscribers. The lack of a shouty gimmicky approach, the right sort of geekiness, the subtle brilliant humour....the only car channel that can make me laugh out loud. Keep exactly this up!
I could really feel the emotion in this video, the actual enjoyment of driving, the appreciation of the engineering. Unlike the german car videos where it was so stale and no attachment to it. Could truly see the actual emotion you guys had driving it and in turn made for a fantastic video.
The production quality when Mr. Goose makes a video featuring vehicles he's actually interested in is phenomenal.
Been watching and enjoying your stuff for a few years now. I've always appreciated the hard work and great production values. You've steered me in the right direction more than once. Just finished this one and was blown away. Absolutely gorgeously shot.
Never seen a better car video. You guys Rock. Thank You!
Thanks, that is greatly appreciated
Honestly for a video like this we should have to pay to watch. Unbelievably amazing quality guys. And thank you so much for doing what you do.

Thank you for making such high quality and entertaining videos. I love what you do! You are hands down one of my favorite reviewers. Even if I’m not interested in the car your reviewing, I still watch cause you do such a great job!
God bless you for covering the overlooked but masterful Lexus 2UR-GSE vehicles

The sound @ the v8 and the reliability is going to be sadly missed great review👍
annnnnnd a couple years later we have the IS 500, RS6 Avant, CT5-V Blackwing, a 500hp non-Shelby Mustang, an X3M that's faster than the M3, and major car companies are halting production of entire EV assembly lines because they're not selling. no it's not the end, not even close.
Absolutely love the sound hitting the rev limiter. LC is easily at the top of my dream car list. Such a glorious machine all around
I finally got a RCF after years of wanting one and it’s been a total blast so far 😁 love the car and sound
I love the RCF and GSF so much. I would definitely choose them over the m4, C63 (w205) and Audi RS products.
So why then do you have an M3 in your avatar?
@@AnontheGOAT I have an E90 (V8) M3. Which I love even more than those two Lexus’s. I mentioned the newer gen M/AMG/RS products which really don’t appeal to me at all compared to the RCF/GSF. After 2013 german cars kinda lost all appeal to me.
@@augustortiz why? Because they stop making N/A cars?
That is what makes the RC and GS more appealing and cooler to me than the germans.
@@augustortiz pretty well put explanation. I’m a fan of German cars too. For me, it’s the fact that they just can never get to a reliable level like Japanese products. I’m at the point in my life where I don’t have time to wrench on them. I like to own my cars past the warranty. That’s why once I get my hands on a GS F, I’ll be saying goodbye beloved C6 Avant.
These guys and Matt Farrah are probably the only two producing proper car reviews that really get it and not just regurgitate the same specs and dumb comparisons based on specs written on paper. Well done guys and keep it going.
Best motoring/Hot version/Video option.
I’d add Throttle House to that list. Not as technical but they have their own unique flare to each revue.
the savagegeese videos really do have great production value. so many camera angles, all such high definition too.
I like all the down shiftts with the little howls.
‘The reliability’ that’s what I came for . ✌🏾
You can really feel when a reviewer is actually enjoying reviewing some of theseproducts which makes you understand what it's all about. Good job as always
To my boomer automotive brothers and sisters don't be sad that we are nearing our golden years. Be happy that we lived through the ICE era and were able to own powerful, beautiful, and great sounding cars. I pitty the future generations and their self driving, electric, sensory deprivation chambers.
Its why you raise your kids to make sure they learn how to drive a manual transmission car
@@iheartgs400 I hate kids so I'm good. But agreed.
Most people spend their driving time on a boring freeway commute, not zipping along a mountain road. If they turn that useless freeway slog into hours doing something more useful or entertaining, good for them.
@@Gorilla_Jones LOL.
I am jelous of people that were born 5-6 years before me. If I could have my current bank account status 5 years ago, I coukd still buy many fun "analog" sports car from between late 80's and early 00's. I am still having fun tracking my '05 na Impreza model and pulling amateur slides on gravel roads, but I know that I will never be able to own e30. And I fucking love e30 since I've been sitting in my dad's one for the first time over 12 years ago.
Great review. Can't wait to see if they will come out with a LC500 "F" version... Big fan of the GS-F also. Perfect all-around performance sedan.
These engines sound too good to go away. I mean jeez, LISTEN to the noise that LC makes. It’s incredible.
The LC500 is my dream car lol. Remember seeing the concept for it at an auto show a few years ago and loved it.
I don’t think you bounced off the rev limiter enough 🤣
Sounds beautiful! being an F owner we try not to but it happens with the paddle shifters from time to time, but driver could have done A LOT BETTER than that.
Guy's, the in car footage of the LC was amazing!
Just purchased my 2017 GSF with 28,000 on the dash. Love my car!!
I had to stop the video 1/2 way just to drop a like. This was definitely one of the best @Savagegeese videos so far. Hopefully, as Toyota approaches this new era they still keep the enthusiast in mind. Keep up the solid content guys!
A+ on the video quality. This is not a review, this is a visual automotive experience. Thank you for this.
I’m going to miss the NA V8 dearly especially in one of my favorite cars like the RC F, GS F, and LC500
But the new twin turbo V8 that Toyota is working on for the next F performance model is something to look forward it’s definitely going to blow BMW M and Mercedes-AMG out of the park
it is a toyota engine. even the 2jz is not better than similar old m104 or the s50. till it is finished i would not believe in anythink like that. furthermore the s63, as well as the m177 are verry good engine. the main problem with german car is actually the eletronic around it. there is a stupid german regulation for biodegneration of the electronics in cars. that leads to a lot of problemes. all other car manufactores ignore it ...
p.s.
audi/vw engine are a different story
@@amduser86 that is very true but at least with Toyota and Lexus there's some simplicity that is there and the engines are built to last and even the electronics will hold up well over time
As much as I love BMW, Audi, and Mercedes, I would stick with Toyota and Lexus along with Honda and Acura
amduser86 what’s better than the 2JZ from the 90’s under 60k?
That V8 redline gives me goose bumps.
Man ever since I saw the RCF in person at the Washington Auto Show, I fell in love with it and still want one, esp cause of that V8. Having to wait till it comes down in price more in the future though.
A low mileage 2015 RCF will run you about 40k right now. Very reasonable
A 50k miles one goes for like 34k and then you can add on a rr racing supercharger to add 300 hp and some whine 👌
Beautiful video! I love the way the RCF looks. That V8 sounds amazing.
Excellent review!! As a previous BMW fan boy, I can say I love Lexus and will never sell my RC. Thanks for sharing a great review of these gems.
I’ve already watched this twice, y’all must have seen how many times I’ve rewatched the stand alone episodes. I want one, can’t decide, that LS though, thanks for an amazing tribute.
When he said these cars are an 'emotional purchase' I felt that, I hope I can be able to own any of them in the future 😭
Bought my RC 300 last year knowing it was a placeholder for an LC 500 some day. Love the looks, character, and reliability Lexus brings to the table!
Congrats. I had an IS 300 AWD on a lease that I just gave back a couple months ago. I miss it sometimes. I replaced it with a GTI which has been a lot of fun, but definitely not as refined as the IS was.
@@ARentz07 Bought myself a used IS350 F-sport a couple months ago (black with Rioja red interior) to replace my '14 WRX and I couldn't be happier with it. I would say its about as quick as the WRX, but it does so with the refinement of a luxury car. Adding the F-sport intake, a muffler delete, and stickier tires really woke it up too. I would highly recommend doing those 3 things to anyone who has one.
Boy you guys sure like that rev limiter huh? 😬
I literally thought I was about to see a rev limiter overheat for the first time in history 😂
.....just kidding, absolutely amazing video and cinematography, thanks for taking the time to make it. I am now dying for an LC500 even more 🤦🏻♂️
Fuel cut off.
6lemans10 ......aka rev limiter
I actually find it a bit annoying that they do that all the time.
Lexus rev limiters are just something else man, you gotta
Agreed man, after a while I almost shouted "shift already!" at my monitor.
Hitting the limiter is like nails on a chalkboard for me. Just hate it...
We must be kindred spirits. I have a '15 RC-F and '07 S2000. Your first review of the RC-F swayed me to purchasing it. Fantastic car with a dying breed of an engine - all the more reason to grab a reliable NA8 while we still can. Love them both! My wife's RX 350 on the other hand....
I love my GS F, in my opinion it's an amazing car. I will definitely be keeping it forever.

I could tell from your GSF review 3 years ago that it holds a special place in your heart. I feel the same way about it, and if it had a modern infotainment system, it would be the coolest sedan ever made in my opinion.
I’ve been thinking of trading my IS200T up to an RC-F but one of the things that have been holding me back is that I’ve been saving for an R35. This video makes me want to get the RC-F even more now lol.
Love the LC500. Tested one back in 2018 shortly after they came out and it's the best car I've ever driven. It's just pure joy and luxury. Thanks for doing this, Savagegeese. These cars deserve to be celebrated!

Lexus V8: My reign has just begun.
*Is500 flies over*
Well done Mark! The LC 500 reminds me of the SC 400 I had the privilege of owning for 8-years. I loved driving that car! It put a smile on my face every time I started it up. I seldom ever turned the radio on, the best music was the 4-liter V8 rumbling in my ears. Nice to see a successor to a really great car.
LFA.. one of the best engines ever fitted to a street car.
The LC500 is just a design masterpiece. Absolutely spectacular-looking car.
Whelp-I own a GX, ES-h (just gave it to my daughters)...and a GS f sport, and I find the only ppl that hate the info-system are the ppl that don’t own one. It’s the iPhone, Samsung argument all over. They both work, but some bttr in their own right, period.
Thank you for making a video on Lexus F-products! Finally someone that understands why Lexus feels different compared to its German competition.
You didn't disappoint, very well done Mark. I had almost the exact same impressions you did of these cars - flawed but with personality
That intro sent chills down my spine. Absolutely phenomenal cinematography and sound.
I love the editing work....
Yes the video work is the best I’ve seen.
In a word excellent. I’m test driving an LC500 later this week and your coverage amongst others is the reason why
It upsets me greatly that all these cool vehicles are becoming unavailable before I can own them all

Not all 4k content is really all that great. Its about bitrate, dynamic range, codecs etc.

It really captured why we love the NA V8s especially in the Lexus F Performance cars like the RC F, GS F, and LC500
We should enjoy it while we can because it may not comeback
I have a severe case of the "need ta have its" for the RCF.... It's like Beast from X-men: not as badass as Wolverine, or as powerful as Phoenix, but still my favourite member of the team and cool in his own unique way. And in the end, still a super strong, indispensable hero who always comes through. I'd take one over any Mustang, Challenger/Charger, or Camaro, and most other sport luxury cars.
