Zoya, one of the biggest mistakes I made at UC Berkeley was not looking for a serious boyfriend. To my shock and amazement, when I entered the working world, it was so hard to meet men. Of course many were older and married. I worked long hours and was so tired. I had little time and energy for dating. Stanford is a fantastic place to meet a nice, smart, ambitious guy. Don’t waste this once in a lifetime opportunity. I suggest meeting guys who are grad students. They’re more mature. My parents went to Stanford. My mom was an undergrad and my dad was just finishing his mba at Stanford business school. They’re still married 64 yrs later!
Veer is such a remarkable kid; his emotional maturity is astonishing. His empathy and sensitivity are qualities will make him a very sensible adult. The episode was truly beautiful; even Shalabh seemed teary when Brij shared his memories of mangoes and his dadi. It made me reflect on how I haven't thanked my parents enough for their efforts. It was a deeply authentic and touching experience.
Lovely episode- Zarna is the driver of the family dynamics, Zoya is the glue that holds all together, Shalab is the brakeman who keeps everything on earth, and the boys are growing to be fledgling leaders on their own!
My grade goes to Shalabh for being a rock for the family. Supportive, mature, wise, resilient and patient - all admirable qualities. We need more such men in this world. What a great example he is setting for the kids! well done!
To each of your beautiful children.. you each have a heart of gold.. and appreciating your parents with so much love and respect will take you a long way in life ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ love this family.. ❤️❤️
Dear Zarana, I am a proud mother of two children, and I am grateful for all that I have accomplished so far. However, when I listen to your podcast, I am truly inspired by the way you raise your children. The emotional maturity and intelligence they display are remarkable. All three of your kids are simply amazing. The strong bond they share, the respect they show as elder siblings, and the love and responsibility they exhibit as younger brothers are truly admirable. Your dedication and effort in raising them are evident, and I can only commend you with the highest praise for nurturing such wonderful qualities in them. MY ALL-TIME “ A” is Zarana.
I seriously could never imagine that a family could be this close to each other cuz ive never seen my family even sit together for dinner or for that matter be engaged in each others world at all or looking out for each other without being passive aggressive and taunting or a I'm holier than thou attitude. Im really grateful to you zarna maam you showed me how a family could be ❤.... And its besutiful touchwood 🧿
I am soo happy and wiping my tears hearing these kids thanking mom❤❤❤ Love Zarna for imbibing this in kids. We all know it takes a lifetime of patience, love and modeling empathy to arrive there 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Such a heartfelt episode 💕. I think the A grade goes to the entire family for being able to keep their appreciation for each other at a pedestal and fearlessly bracing their hearts. I also think that facilitating such open discussions possess the power to mend, heal, and render those exorbitant therapy sessions obsolete.
This Episode about "Celebrating Birthdays", broke my Heart thinking about my broken Family in so many ways😢. I want to commend you Zarna, on being the obvious most respected, admired and appreciated Mother by your Family. The fact that your Brown Hubby stepped out of his comfort zone to tell you in public that after 25yrs. He still finds you SEXY. WOW! I Love your Podcast for many reasons, but, just seeing what a close knit Family you have is Awe-inspiring. Applause to you ALL!
Seeing a family which is so open at discussing small and big things with each other ...there are different opinions, perspectives but still a strong bond ...and all this in a different side of the sphere, its like reassuring that's what true love is ...we dont have to be clones of each other or always be in agreement. ...God Bless ❤
I don’t know if you’ll read this but I love your podcast. Zarna maam has fierce mom energy and it’s so lovely to watch . I lost my mom a few years back and it’s a comfort to just see motherhood in action. Almost feel like I am in the discussion .🥲🫠🙃
I can't believe I had skipped this one. The last part is so heart warming, I held back my tears. The podcast and the chemistry between all of you gives so much insight into your bond as a family, rather than any lifestyle vlogs I have seen. Thankyou for this beautiful episode.
Oh, my gosh. How beautiful were Brij's words to his mom!! Dying over here -- bless your family, that was so beautiful and what an inspiration, Zarna and fam.
One of the best episodes of Zarna Garg Family podcast , Having a parents who understand you and have honest/difficult conversations with you sets you for life. Appreciate how Zarna has answers to their questions and guide them through the adversity, may be that's why all 3 kids are so confident.
A goes to Shalabh and Veer for being vulnerable and appreciative. Shalabh did mention in the last episode that Zarna’s entrepreneurial skills kept them afloat when he lost his job.
I usually laugh a lot when I watch this channel . This episode is very heart touching. How are these kids so wise? Veer is amazing for his age. I teared up when this little one went and grabbed what his sister gave him. He is so mature as Zoya said. Amazing. His one-liers are hilarious too. Brij and Zoya amaze me every time. I wish all the success and I really hope I can remember certain things and apply to my life as well. Shalabh is so cool as well and although he is comparatively quiet, we can see how he has been the backbone almost as much as Zarna is. I am a Zarna fan ! Good grades to all of you honestly !!!! A++++++ . These kids are precious. Love all of you. Thank you for a thought provoking episode.
I agree with Zarna. It’s an occasion to get together as friends and family for that one day and moment becomes a memory to look back on. We are only here for a short period of time so these memories will become more important and cherished.
For me birthdays are a great way to celebrate your loved ones and appreciate them in a special way. I have been living abroad for couple of years now and I miss celebrating birthdays with my friends and family, and so I do agree with Zarna and the logic behind it. It's not about yourself and I think it is one way that humans show their selflessness by making someone else happy and making them feel special. Thank you for this podcast, I was laughing and when you all started showing gratitude to Zarna, I got a little emotional. This past two episodes are extremely well done, great conversations. 💯
This is the most beautiful episode I have watched of yours. What a beautiful and emotionally intelligent family. I was aw... throughout the video. I give A's to all..... lots of love
Love how open you all are. It is relaxing and entertaining to listen to the family discussion, and this episode had many moving moments of vulnerability, individualization, and appreciation. My A goes to Zoya for her self-awareness and acknowledgement and appreciation of everyone, and for her declarative statement at 10:40. Lol!
I grew up where our birthday was not really a big thing. I agree with what Zarna said at the beginning, "Our gift was always the same night gown, undergarment, and an outfit for school or church wear. We were never asked what we may want. I'm over 50, and I don't understand why my daughter always wants to celebrate my birthday her way. I'm content with a celebration with my immediate family . I've never been a club person or drinker. My sisters and I birthday months are in June, August, and September . The best thing about our birthday was the homemade cake and homemade ice cream..
Birthdays for my family of six has never been easy, but my husband always pushed me to celebrate and now my kids are married with their own children, the memories are invaluable and cherished. A grade goes to Shalabh!
Zarna and Shalabh, I just had to take a moment to commend both of you for creating such a beautiful family dynamic - it's truly inspiring. This episode really struck a chord with me. Beyond the humour, the genuine love, respect, and affection you all share is palpable. And kudos to you, for effortlessly juggling both professional and personal success, you're a shining example.
Hey Zarna and Shalabh - not sure if you guys would read this comment. But you two have raised the three most intelligent and beautiful kids, and built a positive, successful and loving family/home. Would you consider sharing your journey more on how you guys did it? What things you guys consciously did, what choices you made or any parenting philosophies. Thank you for your consideration.
Zarna, I admire you so much as a mom of two girls and a boy from S. Asia. Your family dynamic resembles so much with my family that it’s not even funny 😂 I salute you for keeping your family so grounded being in the public eye. I laugh/giggle like a child watching your podcasts 😂😂😂 thanks for keeping it so real ❤️🌷
I love listening to you all as a family…good values instilled in the kids and of course the humor …with Zarna’s and Shalab’ s comments ( can’t turn everything into Patel bros!!!). A+ for all the 3 kids.
'A' grade goes to all of you for the first time because of all of your maturity and the fact that you all have the capability of appreciating each other's highs and stand besides each other's lows. Bless your family :)
A grade to Veer ❤❤❤❤❤ !! Such a smart kid ..logical..precise..clear..and respectful! Zarna and Zoya - such emotionally equipped women you both are !! You both are so emotionally thoughtful 🧿
The bestest episode with all emotions and healing messages for moms, kids and dads 🤩💝💝 The way it went from physical fitness to emotional acknowledgment and heartfelt messages … it was ❤❤❤
I love it when she said "don't try to turn this into a romantic moment"😅 and also when Shalabh said he likes how sexy Zarna does her opening on stage, and finally when Zarna gave A grade to Shalabh tears came to my eyes as she explained how open he was about challenges. Each of you have very concise reasons for why you gave the A grade. I get that warm and fuzzy feeling and a bright hour in my day as I listen to your podcast. I love you all🥰
For someone who recently lost their job for no fault of my own and having the responsibility of a wife and two littles I really needed to hear the part of the top line. I really resonated with that.
I give it all members ❤ It is so authentic, genuine. so pure and so much respect to one another. It even got me bit emotional ❤ My A grade goes to Brij ❤
Man! These podcast episodes leading me to want more children. 2 years ago, i wanted none- got one. Now i want at least 2 more so that i can build a family like this!
First of all Wishing you a very happy Bday Zarna and this episode was so so good, had so many awww moments that you guys are definitely going to look back on ❤ and cherish them ❤️
My dear family-I wait for your family podcast on every 2nd and 15th of every month very eagerly. My family is so smart. All of you are A+++++always including me of course.😂❤
A+ grade - Zoya because she comes across as authentic and thoughtful A : Brij because he is being true to his age and his responses reflect that. A : veer for all the things everyone said B: Zarna - for she keeps them glued together in convo and also being authentic B- : shalabh for being quieter
I can’t believe how similar our families are. Family of 5, apart from the multitude of other similarities ,we also do the one good thing about each other on birthdays (we also do one thing we can improve upon)- which causes emotional upsets sometimes 😅.
Thoroughly enjoy these family discussions! Brilliant, honest, warm, and super fun sense of humor🎉 Reminds me of my younger days with my parents and sisters and our Sunday morning discussions around the table having ginger chai.
You guys are very entertaining other than of-course the insights you guys share!! I have watched all the episodes so many times!! It’s like my comfort show in my otherwise chaotic American corporate adulting life!! I keep watching the episodes during lunch and dinner 😂
What a beautiful family! Good job Zarna and Shalabh for bringing up such mature, sensitive children. My A grade goes to Brij and veer. Especially, when Veer jumped up and grabbed the birthday note. Love the bond between the siblings ❤
My A grade goes to Ver this episode. Considering his age he is very aware of everything. I can see him as a CEO of a huge company in the future. 🎉 Btw this episode was very emotional for me. I would've crowd if i'm one of them.
I just put this podcast while walking and I laughed and awwed and had people on trail looking at me 😂. As usual, my A grade is for Zarna for instilling this in your kids and being the root and letting them fly. ❤❤
I enjoyed your openess, as I usually do. I would give my "A" grade to all of you for your willingness to to be so honest and loving. Thanks!🌺🌸🌸❤🌺🌸🌸❤🌺🌸🌸❤🌺
My daughter just turned 21. Till now I kept saying “no love interest. Keep away. “ now I am like “you need a serious boyfriend start searching.” She also does not want a kid. I will work it!!!!
When we were small my mum would have bug parties with lots of food lots of my friends and their parents and cook all of it by her self the only thing she ordered from our was the cake and my birthday dress.ske also got a big box of candies to take to school to shair with my class mates and teachers that came to my class..then as I and my brotherand sister turned 10 she told us that there will be no big parties and it will be only for the people in our house and the money that she would spend normally on the party would be put in a bank account. I to this day give thanks yo God for a mum like her and a very hard working dad.god rest their souls for teaching us good values 🙏 ❤ I was born In Daman when it was under the Portuguese rule but studied in Gujarath and Bombay .and now a Canadian citizen but also very proud to be an Indian I cry when they sing the Indian national anthem. And also the song hay maray vatan ka logo. when I leave Canada for a while and return I join my hand and cry thanking God for having blessed me and braught me back home safe.and to my daughter and grandson.my second .ynfortunately I been through a lot in life but life goes on.and I am very proud of you snd uour family and I thank God I dot have to pay to look at your pod cast as I don't yhinkbi would be abel to afford it.God bless you all.
