Deluxe tinker is my EDC. The pliers, scissors and the pen blade. I tinker a lot with electronics. The plier often doubles as a "helping hand" when soldering. (I just put a small o-ring around the handles of the plier.)
I have an Alox Farmer as a neck knife when I'm making & flying kites and I bought it for the saw. I also have a Fieldmaster that resides in my hiking backpack (it has a saw also). So, it's fair to say I like them with the saw & it's probably my most used tool along with the awl/reamer. The other Vic-nox knives I have are the Dessert Warrior Donut & the Wiener Warrior Super Tinker & the Classic SD (Hot Dog) versions from BHQ. Haven't decided if I'm going to use the "Designer" fun knives or give them to friends for helping me do stuff.
I carry Alox models. A Minichamp and a Bantam or a Cadet at the office, otherwise Pioneer, Pioneer X and Farmer X in the woods. My most used tools, on average and in order of volume of use, are: - the main blade (fruits, cheese, opening bags of coffee, sharpening my pencil…) - the awl (opening packages, scraping…) - the scissors (nails mainly but a lot of little daily things) - the cap lifter (opening bottles, scraping, plying…) - the screwdriver - the file (nails mainly but works well with a lot of works like softening something sharp) - the saw (incredibly efficient in the woods or around the house; does 95% of the jobs)
Tied is scissors and the fingernail file (or even diamond file) on several models. After clipping nails finish with the file. And the scissors for almost everything unless cutting fruit
I love the compact, I always use the scissors and main blade and the tweezers,it’s a great edc tool. But I enjoy carrying the Huntsman, the saw is great for cutting branches and the back spine is great for creating sparks for starting a fire, my desk tool is a leatherman wave
I typically carry 3 SAKs in my EDC. An alox classic on my keys, either my Huntsman (on weekends) or Super Tinker in my left pocket and a Rambler. The most used tools for me are typically the long blade, scissors and (tie for the bigger ones) the can opener or saw. On my smalls it is Scissors first and second, with the multifunction tool of the Rambler a distant 3rd place.
Excellent video, it is a great exercise to analyze the tools that one uses the most. The same thing happens to me as to you, and I follow the order that you give them. The same thing happens to me with the corkscrew, since I use the mini screwdriver for glasses a lot. In my case, and speaking of 91 mm SAKs, the one that fits the most is the "Explorer", and it is the one that goes in my edc together with the "minichamp" on the keychain. As a curiosity I tell you that I also use, carry and like the Ruike that has the tools equivalent to the "camper", and it is a brand that I like a lot, since it seems to me a worthy competitor of the SAKs for the quality that it has, while at the same time it seems built to give it a rougher use. Greetings.
@@urbanknifeguy The Ruike multifunctional pocket knife, which is equivalent to the SAK Camper, is the M32. I am quite happy with the brand, and I have a few more models, such as: M41, S21, P661-B, P662-B, and P801-SF. I am honestly very happy with this brand and see it for rougher use. Regards.
I like the combo cap lifter and bottle opener. I use it to zip through tape on boxes and packages. The adhesive from tape covers the knife blade and makes it dull. I also use it for light prying. I agree with you on the corkscrew. It has many uses besides removing corks.
As a backup knife, the Waiter without hesitation, it's the corkscrew for a screwdriver to glasses AND knots, the knife for my kiwis and the multitool to open soda cans. But as a main everyday carry, the Spartan or the Mountineer if we're going to keep us in the range of 91 mm 👍👍
The number one tool I use is the scissors. Then the large blade, toothpick, flat driver, corkscrew (for picking knots/staples). The can opener can also be used for driving Phillips screws (mainly tightening/loosening) -- I don't like the Tee handle Phillips driver, but it will provide more torque. The Climber is the best compromise -- not too big not too small. The Huntsman for yard work and gardening -- I use the wood saw for making 1-foot marks on my raised beds and cutting small limbs too large for pruners/secateurs. The Ranger is a bonus with the fine tooth saw/file. The Work Champ (carried in a sheath) for a multitool. I used to like the Executive for its smaller size until the scissors broke when I was cutting a cuticle. The Rambler is best for a mini knife. I think the Mini Champ is overrated/ridiculous.
Lately I’ve been carrying a Handyman and recently been using the scale tools (pen and tweezers), but I also use the screwdrivers and can opener to actually open cans my primary home can opener needs to be replaced 😂 I also carry a Mini Champ and use the nail file and orange peeler the most. I do carry a primary folder which means I don’t use the SAK knife blades too often but when I do it’s mostly to cut food.
For me the 7 most used tools are the Main Blade, Scissors, Nail File (the pointed tip version), the White LED light, the Pen (small & large), Metal Saw / Metal File and the Medium /Large Flat Screwdriver / Bottle Cap Lifter. The 7 less used tools are the Wood Saw, Tweezer, Toothpick, Parcel Hook, Awl, Corkscrew and Phillips Screwdriver (small & large) and lastly never used redundant / useless tools are the cuticle pusher, magnifying glass & the counterclockwise Victorinox can opener - which is totally useless unlike the Wenger Claw shaped clockwise can opener which is easy to use
I like huntsman. If i need a screwdriver id rather use my wiha driver. My other favorite is bibury multi tool. Both are camp tools. I like plyers for fishing.
In the past I carried a Victorinox Rucksack model, the locking blade, saw and awl were the most used items on that one. These days I carry a Victorinox Alox Farmer when I’m at home or out in public, and a Fieldmaster when I’m at work, my most used tools are the main blade, the awl and the bottle opener these days, followed by the saw.
1. Nail file, nail cleaner 2. Scissors / main blade 3. Toothpick (comment for the germaphobe imbeciles out there: You can clean your toothpick it with alcohol [wipes] or disinfect after use ^^ )

Thanks for sharing! The limited editions are good collectibles and should be worth more in future.
Scissors. Easily the most used tool.
Thanks!

Thanks! That sounds like 2 SAKs too many or 2 SAKs too few, depending on who you ask 😅

Thanks so much for sharing! I have both the Mini Champ and Rambler and agree that the Rambler is more than adequate.
Scissors- main blade - tweezers- toothpick - in that order for me - thx JC ❤
Thanks!

@ peeling oranges and cutting tape on packages.
@Olyphoto7 OK... literally... 🤣
Spartan with plus scales. Blade, 1mm Screwdriver, pen,
Scissors

@@urbanknifeguy you are welcome & thanks for an interesting video

Then just carry a pen? 😁😅
scissor, wood cutting blad, file, ken opener, must i uses,
(knife blad compulsory)
Thanks!
Please come back to Small Brick City. :) Please.
My most abused tool is the penblade for boxes at work. But that might change since I'm now carrying a spyderco lil native.
Thanks!
I like huntsman. If i need a screwdriver id rather use my wiha driver.

Climber is the best
Scissors, knife, pliers, screwdriver, awl. In order.
Come back to lego please bro, when those videos first dropped they helped me so much
Blade, scissors, tweezers, and then a mini flathead screwdriver carried within the corkscrew. In that order. 👊
Thanks! 👍👍
Climber or explorer, tools used probably main blade, bottle opener/flat head screwdriver, scissors. Philips screwdriver, mini screwdriver.
👍👍
Scissors, small screwdriver, awl, wine bottle opener, screwdriver/pry bar, knife.
Thanks!
My most used tool on an SAK is still the main blade
Thanks!
I use the scissors more than anything else :D
Thanks!

I was not familiar with the Rucksack! Thanks!

2. Scissors / main blade
