  • Today we show you how to install a shift knob on any 8th Gen Honda Civic.
    8th Gen Honda Civics ran from 2006-2011. Dave rips out his old Shift Knob and boot and replaces it with a nice Japanese replacement.

    do you NEED the hot glue on it? or any adhesive?

      Hot Glue will Help it Stay on the bottom and you wont see it

      Yes, all center consoles on these cars are the same

    hey i really need help with my civic (gen 8), when i go to put the shift knob on it doesn’t stay tight on the stick. yes i have the right size knob to put into the shift knob. i don’t understand and i’m very confused, and i would love some help

      Try putting some blue thread lock on it

      ​@@jeremybennett5547are the threads stripped in the knob, the cat knob ended up stripping and I had to revert to old one because of the poor quality inner threads

    This episode was my favourite so far. The only struggling Dave did was justifying spending dough on a rotten civic.
