They changed things around a number of years ago to appeal to a younger audience. It worked well for their sales, and it might not get back to this kind of music ever--or at least a long while. I totally agree with your comment.
I bought this CD used for only a couple of bucks. One of the best albums ever recorded. I knew who Doc Watson was but wasn't at all familiar with Del or Mac. I became a big fan of the two and even went to see Del in concert in Pasadena, Calif.

Got to see him, Marty Robbins and Slim Whitman in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1955. Tickets were a lot cheaper then than they are now,
Wish I could have seen him as well. But I did see the great Doc Watson on two occasions and Del McCoury--ditto.
