The geese alert the chickens of both ground and aerial predators. Also, the fact that there are few trees for aerial predators to roost in makes it inconvenient for them to hunt in.

Hundreds of acres. It is mostly a vegetable farm and store! Google froberg's in Alvin Texas that's what this place is!
