Total and complete artist...DBII is the most gifted artist of his generation IMO. Lauded for his guitar work as an ace sideman, writer and producer, what may be his most overlooked and underappreciated talent perhaps, criminally so, is this man's voice. He sings like no other adding even to his father's tremendous voice.
Great stuff as usual from DBII. Just wish he'd up the production value of his videos similar to how Joe Bonamasa handles his shows. I have a feeling we're missing so much because of poor production.
+Scott DuChene I don't think there is any production in this recording. They may put in a little reverb in post production.... With all the dropouts I think they recorded it off the the camera ..... Don't even think audio was recorded separately....
+Scott DuChene Just to be clear, this video was shot by a fan, me, with a Canon Powershot, that I think has great sound compared to a lot of little point and shoot cameras. Doyle and his band has nothing to do with this, and of course it's not going to measure up to what other bands have professionally shot, probably with multiple HD cameras. I'm sorry that not everything shot on RUclips matches up to your HD, surround-sound sensibilities, and while I don't consider this poor production, compared to a lot of what's out there. I think you should realize that this isn't a band production.
Thanks for the heads up. No need to apologize thank you very much for the footage. I'm seeing Doyle several times now and he just amazes me. I can fill in the blanks with the production but thank you for clearing that up. I got the impression it was probably someone just filming it with her deal and people were stepping in front of your microphone and that's probably what was causing the dropouts. Thanks again friend
+Carl Patterson Thanks for your kinds words! One reason I was really pleased with the videos I got from this show is that while Infinity Hall is a beautiful place to see a show, they're really bad about not letting people video there, so anytime I can get anything halfway decent from up there, I'm really psyched!
Boy you're not kidding. I've been following this guy since the Archangel days back in early 90s and he's had I don't know how many drummers on his solo CDs and especially when he's on tour. It seems like he picks them up wherever he's playing next. They're all kick ass though!
That tone is amazing! Doyle is the best and coolest ever! 💥

Jim White spot on my dude
Awesome! DBII is one of the greatest blues/rock players around today. So much soul and feeling in his playing, not many around at his level anymore.
Hot darn this guy has touch and groove
I totally agree with Jim White. Doyle is amazing and his voice is awesome.
Telling stories thru music. That's the 💙
I would love to hear this on his next album
Amazing artist

True that. Kind of partial to JJ Johnson , but no slouches on the skins in any of his backing bands.
That drummer need's to chill on that ride..lol Great performance otherwise.
Time to make a meeting brother.
