Holy crap. Let's just take a moment and think about the collection and caliber of guitar players on that stage at the same time: Doyle Bramhall, David Grissom and Peter Stroud. All tremendous.
@@rickelst2564 hey, he does not play like Jimi, because Doyle has string reversed, Jimi had normal. Both play left hand though. But Doyle has thick strings at the bottom and Jimi had them normally.
Good to see Sheryl and Doyle playing together again. I don't think they had played live together after their relationship ended and he left her band. Also interesting to see Stroud and Bramhall on the same stage. Stroud has been Sheryl's lead guitarist on every tour except the 100 Miles From Memphis Tour on which Bramhall was the lead guitarist.
Did DB and SC have a relationship? Is that well known? Yes, I was surprised to see Doyle and Stroud on the same stage - thought it was one or the other!
so cool! love seryl, love doyle, dave grissom is reading charts, lol. Session guys, eeeek, love this sheryl song, old school, that first record is hard to top! Same goes for doyle's old stuff, fn brill!
hi I think Sheryl Crow sounds better now than ever Peter Stroud is a great guitar player and I've always loved Doyle Bramhall since archangels wonderful video thank you
Don't know why the set he does with Sheryl Crow brought out DB2's trolls but some variation on jealousy, envy, etc. His strong supporters and collaborators include a few people who know better: Clapton, B.B. King, Norah Jones, Derek Trucks , etc.
Yup ... only been a fan since 1992 when Geffen released the Arc Angels one and only album. Most people don't know DB2's talent ... just trying to share!
+Donald White Youre correct,my friend.I lived the Austin circuit for many years..Remember the ARC Angels?? That name came from the company that the band was renting a warehouse from for rehearsals..Austin Rental Company..Just a bit of Texas trivia...
Actually, the ARC Angels were named for the Austin Rehearsal Complex where they were jamming/grieving after SRV death and where the band came together...it closed in 1999 and billed itself as the Home of the ARC Angels.
Tryna figure out the success of Doyle Bramhall: he is a mediocre guitar player, a mediocre singer, a mediocre songwriter, but yet he has been able to be on the stage with those of extraordinarily talented musicians! How does that happen? Many really great musicians, performers, singers never get these golden opportunities so how does a doyle nobody get this far in the music business???
That’s a matter of opinion I love Doyle Bramhalls voice And he definetly is a talented guitarist otherwise he wouldn’t be playing with the musicians he’s involved with consistently. Just because you don’t see it don’t mean it doesn’t exist☺️
@@jed1166 He made 3 albums with Clapton, produced some for Sheryl. It’s my understanding after he got clean lots of people wanted to work with him. I’m with you those people wouldn’t have a mediocre player touring with them. Maybe it’s the left hand upside down strings only a handful of guitar players do that it does have a unique sound. Comments on his Comfortably Numb with Waters tour say it’s the best rendition ever.
@@stevewalters6853 yep… didn’t see the Waters show, but did catch Doyle on the Clapton “Me and Mr. Johnson” Tour, (he played on the album as well). Doyle sounded great, and Clapton actually let him do the lion’s share of the lead work. EC seemed quite pleased to let Doyle steal the spotlight… The bottom line is that great musicians / performers just don’t invite mediocre players into their offices, because it’s bad for business.
Doyle is such a badass. Lovin' this version of "I'm Leaving"!
Doyle is totally underrated, what an amazing talented musician!
Doyle just killed it in "I 'm leaving"
Elle MacPherson? Really?
Sugah mama
Sheryl Crow just keeps getting prettier. God she's just amazing.
Doyle and Sheryl have a chemistry and vibe filled with soul when they sing together.
They did date 4 years so yeah it’s obvious she can’t take her eyes off him.
the wonderful sheryl crow with equally wonderful Doyle Bramhall II...
David Grissom and Doyle Bramhall II along with Cheryl Crow on stage together…sweet!
Holy crap. Let's just take a moment and think about the collection and caliber of guitar players on that stage at the same time: Doyle Bramhall, David Grissom and Peter Stroud. All tremendous.

Ken Lince Wow, didn't even realize.
Let's not forget Sheryl. Maybe the best of them all.
@@Chilinoploopy sarcasm?
Doyle Bramhall is a 3rd rate musician, 3rd rate singer, 3rd rate songwriter, just wondering how he gets on stage with the greats?
Doyle is the man! Such a killer all around musician.
And a master of the guitaar

indeed

I've watched this about 20 times, so good! I like the sax player being pumped up at the beginning of I'm Leaving... He's like......Yes!!
Right on bro.... Feel the vibes meant ti make us all feel better.
She still sounds fantastic live.
Doyle and Sheryl did a terrific delivery of this song… loved it and Doyle plus do besutifully❤

Sheryl Tones Oops! You are absolutely correct about Wolfe. Good catch.

Excellent.
very very nice .keep on rocking .
Love her...Doyle Bramhall should have his own band headlining. He does get to play with Eric Clapton all the time though
The Arc Angels are reuniting briefly for 4 or 5 gigs in TX.
FANTASTIC
awesome!
I love them all, but even more the fact that David Grissom was holding it all down. I can hear it.

I believe that's Loyd Maines on pedal steel ...
You are correct
良い曲ですね。僕は大好きです。
Suuuuper !!!!!!
I love them all, but the most talented person on the stage is David Grissom. He can blow them all away with his playing and songwriting.
This is so f#ckin wholesome!
I don't expect to be confronted with Jeff Bridges when I least expect it! Disgruntled from Manchester.
The dude ...
WHAT A SYD BARRETT LIKE HOOK FOR A COUNTRY SONG...

Peter Straud!!
David Grissom just hanging out in the back
BD2 Playing a right handed strung guitar - upside down and backwards ... just look at the strings!

Yep. He can get some crazy bends with that setup.
She needs one more guitar player i think it sounds a bit thin. But a miracle happened on this clip Doyle smiled.
🙄
Doyle ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡....... Grissom ¡¡¡¡¡¡ what else ?
I wonder if Peter and Doyle are friends.
Peter played on Doyle's 3rd album quite a bit if I'm not mistaken..
See ya bye 😎
Does that bass player look a bit like Lucindas guitarist at "Austin City Limits"?
I believe that is Glen Fukunawa...he has played with a lot of the Austin players for a lot of years.

LANCE ARMSTRONG Hahahaha
