He became one of my idols when I heard him in Arch Angeles. I have played lefty strung backwards since I learned to play. Albert King was the first I found, then Doyle. Until then I never thought I could be taken seriously. After 7 year of that my life changed. I can play things my friends can't, and bend for days! Thanks to all of you who helped change my life 27 years ago. Let's not also forget Coco Montoya, Dick Dale, and the recently departed Mr. Paul Raymond of UFO. Met him once in the men's room. Really nice guy. I know I'm missing some, but thanks to all
Jimi could play upside strung...but preferred strung lefty. It's mind blowing, but when you learn it that way...my brother in law plays righty but is a lefty
Rich Man is the best album I've heard in years. I've seen him 3 times in the past year great show, and always has time for the fans after the show. Can't wait for more(new music)
What's with these negative comments... so what if they did an overdub or if he might be high... he's admitted to going thru a ton of troubles included drug addiction on an interview... he's still an soulful amazing great musician... In a current world of all these horrible pop star and their IMO talentless so-called musical hits this type of music and this kind of artist in so needed to prove we still have artists that can put of this type of music for us to enjoy... I think he's just a badass in his own right... people trying to compare him to SRV... he's not trying be that... all though his family and the Vaughan family were very tight from what Doyle stated in a recent interview...
In an interview I read that years ago when he was 15 when the Fabulous Thunderbirds were big they were getting ready to tour, and needed a guitarist. They ask SRV who he thought the best local guitarist was, and he said hands down Doyle. He toured with them when he was 15. A bunch of them all lived in a big house. Doyle's family, SRV, some other I can't think of. He literally grew up with SRV.
had the privilege of meeting him right after this was recorded and I don't see anything that would indicate he was high at all... His eyes are clear as a bell. What makes you think he is high Meek?
The big H Mr. Patterson ;) by the way, i am just sitting with my guitar and picking this tune out and noticed that 0:45 to 0:49 there is a overdub too :)
anyone else notice at 2:01 that there was a chord change and it was NOT what Doyle was playing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Doyle, his take on songs and phrasing, and his voice! Love him....BUT, what was that??? Anyone else see it??
PEOPLE!: Page re-recorded overdubs and remixed Led Zeps broadcasts before they went to air; KISS ALIVE was a re-do phenomenon; Zappa re-adjusted EVERY live record to sound right; This is NOT NEW to see/hear a re-finished "LIVE" performance. C'mon!!
+immrsr it isnt easy to tell what he plays when he plays upside down, but i know a guy who made a lesson on this song, which he still has on his mobilephone,, not released, maybe i could ask him to upload it?
A lot of times they sync video just by taking snips of video and it doesn’t match. But unless you play guitar most people don’t see it. Sad but true. Pretty obvious it’s not tracked.
Srv=great, this guy is good, but let’s keep things in perspective, it was kind of cheesy that they dubbed something in to make this video acceptable for fans, if they did, that on its face would be a weak move, if so, they should have left it alone imo
His guitar playing is mediocre, his singing is mediocre, his song writing sucks, so how did he gain this level of success? Many great musicians who never get this far, Doyle never paid his dues!
He has paid his dues, he grew up around Stevie Ray Vaughan who co-wrote songs with his father Doyle Bramhall senior. He was asked to play in the bands of Roger Waters(Pink Floyd) and Eric Clapton. He was on 4 Eric Clapton albums. Eric said he’s not like anyone else and loves him but ...... who are they? Who are you?
Awesome song and performance by one of the greatest around today. This is what real music is about.
😉
@@indiramoon I better go look it up.🙏🏼💞🎶
Doyle Bramhall II and JJ Johnson....hell yeah
He became one of my idols when I heard him in Arch Angeles. I have played lefty strung backwards since I learned to play. Albert King was the first I found, then Doyle. Here Mónica from Buenos Aires, come here Doyle!!
Oh, yes.
Doyle is one of the rare talents on this planet!!!! F'ing AWESOME Artist and musician!!!
Doyle II is great loved Arc Angels too!
In “my” life right now, it’s Doyle, SRV, Joe Bonamassa and the one who 6 years ago truly made me love playing . Gary Clark Jr ☮️💟✊🏼 RUclips is 👑🎬
Steve Kutz Right on man
It's so great to see you so happy now ~ genuine love for all my family and their success
"Rich Man" Album of the Year for 2016... Not even close for me.
Greg Randolph well we couldn't agree more Greg Randolph 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Rich Man is the best album I've heard in years.
I've seen him 3 times in the past year great show, and always has time for the fans after the show.
Can't wait for more(new music)
Sage Bramhall dude is definitely in my top 10 favorite guitarists his work with Waters alone says it all!your cousin is a monster!
Greg Randolph such an amazing album still on repeat on the daily
Real rock rythm n blues innovator!!!!
Doyle has sold me with his talent... his style is why I love playing.... ✊🏼☮️
I love that Doyle Bramhall II has so much heart and it always comes through in his music. He is unique like SRV was... it gives him so much charisma.
Soul-soaking-song. Good stuff, thanx Emilia. ] -)
Imagine how good the sequel, Doyle Bramhall III, will sound.
And look. Damn he is a sexy man.
One of my favorite songs in the universe. And I always drummed along to this tune - good to see a drummer rocking it here.
Thanks for KEEPING Jimi Hendrix Vibes ALIVE & Well Within YOU. Awesome Guitar! *Hope!
All that strung upside down. Mind-blowing. I still got the archangels one and only CD. Every song is relevant.
Love him reminds me of a new jimi
Jump back...get down this guy sends me all around ..you rule school of Rock!
Beautiful shirt, lovely voice, delicious and tasteful style of guitar playing, excellent compositions. Man, I'm a fan of this musician!
Ohhh you always deliver the goods emilia, i love this tune and video!
Doyle its the man

Dang it...it means I to......
Great voice too
Fucking incredible
Ohhh....
Real. Talent ..
Fab, heavy tune.
I love this guitarist . First heard saw his genius with Roger Waters show
Notice DBII plays a righty guitar upside-down . Bass strings toward the floor. Albert King played that way.

One cannot talk about the greats ie Clapton, Jimi & SRV without mentioning DB2.
pretty good
👍👏👏👏
D
Doyle fucking Bramhall you're a fucking beast when you want to be!
had the privilege of meeting him right after this was recorded and I don't see anything that would indicate he was high at all... His eyes are clear as a bell. What makes you think he is high Meek?
Doyle ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Bramhall is a serious talent. Loved him on "I Shall Believe" with Sheryl Crow from the AVO Sessions (I believe that's what it was called).
Also if you think he is high or faking it in this, YOURE probably high and faking it
I think it was probably a missed chord during a show that they knew would be released, and fixed it with a quick overdub in editing.
timbre de strato dos sonhos
Let's make forces to get a DBii Southamerica Tour ? Ideas ?
The big H Mr. Patterson ;) by the way, i am just sitting with my guitar and picking this tune out and noticed that 0:45 to 0:49 there is a overdub too :)
It's video from elsewhere, not audio from elsewhere: the drums also do not match the audio if you look at what JJ Johnson is playing
4:00-ish oolay boot layg. Ccr :)
Hendrix influency!
Is that standard tuning???
a volte il suo Look mi ricorda un cavaliere del xiv secolo
Bello bello
Song is about Lightning Hopkins?
anyone else notice at 2:01 that there was a chord change and it was NOT what Doyle was playing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Doyle, his take on songs and phrasing, and his voice! Love him....BUT, what was that??? Anyone else see it??
Yes it was a mistake that they edited right with audio but they should have cut the visual as well. Oh well we are all human. Nobody is perfect. #life
PEOPLE!: Page re-recorded overdubs and remixed Led Zeps broadcasts before they went to air; KISS ALIVE was a re-do phenomenon; Zappa re-adjusted EVERY live record to sound right; This is NOT NEW to see/hear a re-finished "LIVE" performance. C'mon!!
What`s DB see at 1.32 ? eyes towards sky
byron borges trying to find the center 🕉
Anyone knows the chords for this song please?
+immrsr it isnt easy to tell what he plays when he plays upside down, but i know a guy who made a lesson on this song, which he still has on his mobilephone,, not released, maybe i could ask him to upload it?
Anyone know the tuning for this. Dowsnt seem like standard.
Strung right handed played left sounds like drop d standard
who's playing guitar 2:00 to 2:03? it sure isnt DBII ;) something "smells" here
A lot of times they sync video just by taking snips of video and it doesn’t match. But unless you play guitar most people don’t see it. Sad but true. Pretty obvious it’s not tracked.
These guys are all great but how about that drummer. I love musicians that into playing. Great job man.
Doyle has better ideas for music than John mayer
Good to see another leftie playing with the strings right-handed :)
That's cool....such a different sound.
Is he my brother??? I was adopted......
Just a 3 man band
Von please control yourself? DB II is phenominal, but even close to SRV he is not. Period.
2:01??????????????? what the hell was that doyle??? that was not you playing that chord change. i have lost much respect after seeing that. terrible.
cherokeefan101 Just a missed chord. they went back and overdubbed in the studio when mixing this live album. Not a big deal.
Srv=great, this guy is good, but let’s keep things in perspective, it was kind of cheesy that they dubbed something in to make this video acceptable for fans, if they did, that on its face would be a weak move, if so, they should have left it alone imo
