He's a diamond in the rough. Very versatile, if he is disciplined and puts in the work, he can be a monster in a few years. Spurs can literally dominate the entire league with Wemby, Vassell, Sochan and Castle. Spurs will build a dynasty!
You watch...Pop will eventually have a VW-Sochan-Castle-Vassell-CP3 lockdown defense (but still offense) in crunch time. That will turn those 20 games they lost while going into the 4Q leading, into wins that = 45+ wins this year and a play-in spot.
He isn’t a liability. People forget he was the Spurs’ best player at the latter part of his rookie season. He was put in an impossible position the following year, getting him to play point guard. Put him back to his sweet spot, and he will contribute like what he did in year 1.
He defends, rebounds, passes, and scores when he's open. More than that, he's an irritant. He's the player you don't necessarily want on your team, but you definitely don't want him on the other team. Boris is the perfect comparison. Boris couldn't find minutes on the worst team in NBA history (11-12 Bobcats) and on the Spurs nearly won Finals MVP.
Sochan is just a common role player who is not as important as Wemby, Vassel, Castle (maybe). If he cannot reach the standard, just change a starting PF.
Sochan is a slightly quicker Kyle Anderson. He is versatile but doesn't really excel at anything. Versatility is necessary for championship teams but not as cornerstones. He is worth 10-12 million a year. Any more is a waste on a role player.
The PG experiment was "CIA" Pop's way to tank. Ended up getting us ROY Castle and our future SGA-type PG.
just for this comment im giving you the POY, Projector of the Year

He is our blue-collar kind of guy and plays team ball. I'm keeping him if I were Pop.

OMG, you call a player with almost the lowest BPM, EPM guy the best....
@@zhiguangzhu8468 Sochan didn't have the lowest +/- during his rookie season. Pay attention to the timelines I mentioned.
@@rongiefaustino8867cant wait to see what excuses will you come up after he sucked again in his 3rd year
Sochan is versatile. You should talk about Keldon Johnson being a liability instead.
I shouldn't think like this, but they left Jalen Williams on the board in 2022. Hopefully, Sochan develops.
Man, did PATFO ever screw up that one.
jalen williams is 23 y/o though? of course you will always swing for younger guys, since we have a young roster.
He's a cornerstone a draymond type who can get u 12 a game ur set

Cornerstone...a future Draymond Green-type. Not a good enough rebounder to be a Rodman-type.
Sochan is just a common role player who is not as important as Wemby, Vassel, Castle (maybe). If he cannot reach the standard, just change a starting PF.
It's Castle...like an English castle.
nothing says causal more than when you cant even correctly spell a players name for a team you most likely claim you consistently watch! 😂🤡

Sochan is lucky if he got a 2nd contract. He may be out in the NbA in a few years
At this point, liability for sure.
Do you even watch spurs play🙄
I see every game.
Liability. We need to get rid of him asap
He defends the best wing or pg on every team, who will replace that. There’s more to basketball besides scoring
@@SteveOhsevery team there is someone who is guarding the best player on the opposing team. Dumb argument
