Johnson and Collins are very expendable. only thing the spirs sacrifice is salaryu cap. if we move fohnson, collins for levine, their salary matched in 24. levine arouns 11m more in 25, in 26 even with levine spurs are 20-30m below luxury tax treshhold. so not much risk for the spurs

You aren't comparing salary between KJ and Zach and Levine. You're comparing Levine's contract to what else you can have for 45 million he gets. And the answer is a resounding "a whole lot better than Zach Levine", not my answer. The NBA's answer. Because aint no one even trying to trade for that guy with his salary and his terrible injury history. He's already a "has been", he just doesn't realize it yet

The perfect role for him is a sixth man and he can play that role for the Spurs. I don't get why you trade him just to bring someone else in to do the same role and cost more

@@blablablaa14 / I didn't say that. I've always said you trade KJ and others and picks to get an all-star SF, perhaps even a superstar SP sidekick for VW. It will cost more but it would not be the same role and it means the start of many titles.

@bar-tholomew8978 I'm Not big on Zach Lavine to the Spurs either as I mentioned but Lavine would immediately be the second best player on this roster and give Wemby a Real Scoring Threat out on the perimeter. Vassell is coming into his own but still not quite there yet and Lavine could even help him take some strides.

Yes, he needs to be moved to the 2. He not big enough for the 4 position and up to this point he has not been a good enough defensive player to play the 3. However, offensively, he is a mismatch for most 2's......he too strong for other off guards.

@@citizenscapital2458 Yeah but that's because the Spurs have a lot of guards. In the last few minutes of games when we put our best five on, he plays next to Devin, so you could argue he is a 2 or 3 in that lineup

@@blablablaa14 , maybe so but year 5 and still does not have a position. He is a good backup with the Spurs who unnecessarily paid him like a long term starter. Good to see he lost the weight. It can only help him reach his potential. To this point in his career, keldon has not been a good rebounder. So again, I think he can thrive off the bench as a backup 2. Also, with the second unit , you can allow him to be a primary scorer. He can excel in this role especially if he learns to get himself to the free throw line more often.

@@citizenscapital2458 I don't think its fair to say he doesn't have a position. He played SF his entire career until Wemby came in and we needed more at PF. But he's the leading SF for the team and I don't expect to see someone else closing games over Keldon at the 3

@@blablablaa14 , yes, but he is still a defensive liability and doesn't rebound as a SF. This is one of the reasons why the Spurs have been so bad prior to Wemby. Keldon was one of their productive players Stat wise but still a liability in the areas detailed. This is why champagne replaced him at the SF. You can't really hide someone who doesn't rebound or play defense.
