i think its because of the way the attributes are assembled. outside scoring is rly just the midrange and the three point rating while inside scoring is prolly layup, close shot, post scoring, post fade, post hook, driving dunk and standing dunk.
@@Jordanbiggs1473 Try it on 2k23 or 2k25. 2k24 was bad because of no auction house (essentially forcing you to buy packs with VC or be stuck with lower rewards each season), but I've been able to get essentially every reward in 2k23 without any purchases (and 2k25 looks the same). It IS a lot of grinding if you don't want to pay, though. You can't get all the season's rewards for free if you don't play 1-2 hours a day. Generally, if you don't care about PvP it doesn't matter much anyway (unless you really want to get every card) if you get the highest rewards, though. PvP is filled with people nailing green shots on every attempt so it isn't much fun, anyway. There's also drafting which levels the playing field if you enjoy PvP and don't want to grind or pay. Anyway, because of each player having multiple cards (and thus multiple sets of ratings), each set of ratings is usually known as 'a card' by 2K/FIFA/NHL/Madden players, even if it's not in myTeam/Ultimate Team mode.
Honestly, 2K should listen to these. If half the Raptors team is saying Kelly is a better playmaker and they get a lot of assists from him, that rating should increase. Same with CB, Scottie, etc.
