@@chahine3892 Nichols was promoted to Corporal at some point according to his wiki. Probably after Sgt McCullin's death. Never made much sense as to why Nichols didn't become Squad Leader instead of Guzzo
Honestly I wish call of duty did more campaigns like this? Operations or battles from multiple perspectives, characters who don't really interact with each other but are taking part in the same battles and with each unit/character taking part in key events that shape the course of the campaign rather than one character being involved from beginning to end?

Ahh yes. Pfc Guzzo to Sgt. Guzzo in three days. Meanwhile Nichols and Huxley who did so much during the campaign don’t receive any recognition for there efforts.
I miss my PS2 if I still had it I'd be playing this. Good old fashioned Nostalgic games like this brings back memories of when games wasn't so graphic.
At this point in the war Nazi Germany's defeat was inevitable. They were fighting on the Italian Front, the Western Front, and the Eastern Front. They were fighting against the United States, the Soviet Union, Free France forces, Great Britain, various resistance groups, Canada, and etc., and they were running dangerously low on resources and manpower.
Anyone remember the achievement you get called win the war lol they have only just made their way into Paris and still got like a year till it fully ended.
The war, in Europe anyway, might as well have more or less been over by then though, considering the Western Allies were now in Europe in force and had territory, while constantly bombing Germany day and night, the crumbling German lines in the east falling to the Soviets, and the Germans having less and less supplies and resources each day while their enemies still had plenty to spare.
@@welkingunther5417 sure but it still wasn't over and thus not won yet. I'm sure you've seen videos of athletes celebrating before being beaten to the finish line
@@AFGuidesHD Oh I know, it would be dumb to celebrate at that point, though celebrating a little over the fact that France was liberated is fine, but definitely not the whole war, still got plenty of Germans to get through, and by extension the Japanese in the east

Bro the fucking nostalgia had it first in the Ps2 and then I had to get it again for the consoles after (ps3 and Xbox 360) i don’t care but I can play this cod all daaaay
Here because I beat the game on veteran and 1 second before the final cutscene would have played I got instakilled by a ghost. Not bothering to refinish that last checkpoint. This game blows man.
There are differences in this final Mission, in the Xbox series version, there was a US Soldier holding a BAR, while in the PS3 version, there isn't. Is see why there are changes in the Other console versions like the Battle Chatter.
Should be the other way round, should be Americans/Allies on the attack with Germans holding them off from the main roads out of Trun/Chambois while their brothers retreat out of the Falaise pocket and back towards Germany.
The score that begins around 19:19 is still some of the best music ever put in a video game. This whole game really had a great, iconic soundtrack.
topped with the best part when P-51s fly over
I just played this again yesterday and it still holds up. Even the menu music. Flawless.
I always like that the game ends with a call back to the first level. It feel nice.

Ive played this for so much time when i was little

There is around a month between the start and end of the game, not 3 days.

To think that after taking so many loses in this battle, the Germans were able to mount a large scale offensive in Belgium in late 44’ is incredible

Even the ones who surrendered in the falaise gap were not always the best. The best of the best were off fighting in Russia.
