No other COD of the WW2 era had an actual story and meshed it together like this game did, and there is not a single character that isn't extremely well done. The soundtrack is phenomenal, and perfectly encapsulates the sheer desperation of the Normandy breakout. This mission is a perfect introduction to the game with its unadulterated chaos. It was the first game Treyarch made and they did an absolutely phenomenal job.

Damn, I remember coming home from elementary school and starting up my PS2 and playing the campaign. From time to time, my cousin and I would have split-screen tank battles in the maps that had drivable tanks. Ah good times

For a game made in less than a year it was impressive and addicting. The one and only game where I could manage 50+ and no deaths online as a sniper. The Nazi helmets were sooooo shiny on xbx360
