My first Exploited gig was at Birmingham Cedar Club on Saturday 9th May 1981. Since then, I have seen them dozens of times all over the UK. Jibbed trains, dossed in waiting rooms, done all that stuff. Second time I saw them was cupla months later at Northampton Roadmender. During the stage invasion at the end, I nicked a bottle of cider by the drum kit. Me and my mates supped it on the train home.
With his goofy ass mohawk.. because he's balding in the front so it starts in the middle of his head now. He's a 65 year old clown nowdays. This was cool 25-30 years ago but now it's just a sad attempt at a quick cash crab.
I used to absolutely being a member of The Barmy Army when I was younger great day's 👍 seeing this footage I might have to dig my Exploited t-shirt out bloody awesome stuff 😊😊
Still can't believe they aren't playing much bigger places and able to tour all across the US. The Exploited are the quintessential punk band that all others should be measured against.
@@hellrazorofficial9178 Right, I meant specifically in the U.S. that they don't play bigger venues. Bigger venues, more people, more money, easier to tour...more shows. I saw them in 1991, haven't had a show near me since that I knew of before it happened.
@@skwishydude True, but if I understand it right, the U.S. is harder for bands to tour than many other countries. I think Europe venues help out with lodging, maybe meals at times? U.S. can be expensive without the extra support. Probably a lot of other things I am not aware of too. Small clubs might not allow for enough revenue to cover a tour?

still remember their riot in Montreal. my band was playing down the street on Rue St Catherine. Our show was shut down until police could control the crowd. I was not that familiar with the Exploited at that time, but I respect them a lot. 20+ years later. Let's fkn gooo
You can be if it's in your mind & in your heart. I don't know what "real to the bone punk" means but nobody has to spike their hair or dress any certain way or be in a band to be punk. Never was about that. Most of my favorite bands & favorite people never cared about all that stuff. I'm not old school. I was just born when punk started but I've been into it for 30 years now...just as much as I ever was.

I'm a long hair hardcire metal head who knows where thrash metal got it's influences and a lot of these influences were late 70s, early 80s punk bands like the Exploited, the Misfits, the Sex Pistols, etc. I'm a huge Misfits fan. I knew of them before Metallica released the $5.98 EP. I love the fuck you attitude and fearlessnes they had. Not to mention I am also a huge horror movie nut case fan. I thought nothing else was to come and then the Murderdolls came out in 02 and I fell in love. Their simple yet catchy songs hooked me in. They owe that to the originators of it all and that is punk. My band does a lot of Misfits and Murderdolls covers as well as the Exploiteds Alternative. I play guitar. Punk was like a religion in it's heyday. I respect that.
Us kids who use to skate the Kroger lot until the pigs rolled up and ran us off, big up. Hats off to Germ, the radist cat ever. Thanks for the mix tape that changed my life.🤘
Haha I was 15 when Horror Epics came out, probably my favorite of theirs, I still have it on vinyl. I don't really listen to this music anymore, grew out of all of it; jazz is my thing but about once a year I pull out the album and play it loud!
I remember way back in like 88 or so I picked up their live cassette live at the Whitehouse and actually thought in my young age that they really played in the Whitehouse that night. I remember the diss on jello on that album. These guys are real punk for sure

First time I saw them was in 85 at first Avenue Minneapolis. They were touring the U.S. in a Volkswagen van ! Watty still putting on great shows.

They do. But these are the best gigs...smaller venues. They play big tours in Europe though...in one now.
