tbh I'm not a fan of ultimate. I find the game to be slow compared to melee. But Mkleo's Byleth is an exception. The way he dominates with Byleth is insane.
Yeah I kinda get that, but Ultimate is a far more balanced and definitely far more polished game than Melee. I mean there's a reason why Melee has so many banned strategies in tournaments. Ultimate is also just way more friendly for newcomers to the comp scene, it takes people thousands of hours to even be low bracket in tournament games which leads to the best of the best never even being contested. Also people wanting to play on a high level are forced to play the highest tier characters in the game, I mean aMSa became famous just because he won a major with a MID tier character(the 10th best in the game), while in Ultimate mid to low tiers win tournaments all the time, Ultimate's characters are far more skill based than Melee's. I think Melee just has a much much higher skill floor than Ultimate does which is both a good and bad thing. They're both amazing in their own ways but from an objective viewpoint Ultimate is definitely a better game, but at the same time it's hard to even compare the two when they are so drastically different.
before you block me, i have something to say. for months i've been saying byleth players are trash, simply because i was frustrated on June because of unspeakable things happened, i should've took responsibility for my actions. i'm terribly sorry for taking my frustration out on all the byleth mains. i'm throwing KD out the window and i'm ready to walk a mile in their shoes
