Big Green sounds better. It also looks better. I'm a fan of Ram trucks but that thing looks like a joke with the bedliner and headliner, and the truck nuts make it look like Kent is compensating for something.
Tom Fielding I think it looks funny as hell, and I believe that's why he has it that way. I also believe it's stupid to think he's doing it to try to look cool
Big green sounds better, but Dodgezilla is damn good for an exhaust that likely didn't cost as near as much as if you bought an aftermarket Magnaflow. Good job on both.
Apparently there are a lot of people in the comments who have never watched a Gold Mine Hill video. They don't know there's a second route that the camera guy takes to the top.
Jeremy Mortensen , real arrogant... if you watched any other vids of gold mine hill it’s hard to go up without snow on top of it . I bet what ever beater pos car you got wouldn’t even make it to the trail. Your prolly just a 14-15 year old with zero off road experience . Ah well
I try to answer truck questions in these comments, but comments by secretcitizen takes all the fun out of interacting with viewers. Oh well he's just one jerk, most of you are fun to talk to.
There seems to be a misconception on how 'open' differentials work. They aren't "one wheel drive" - both wheels receive power but they are limited by the amount of traction any single wheel gets. Let's say the engine provides 100 ft lbs of torque to the rear differential, in an ideal situation, each wheel would receive 50ft lbs. However, if one of the wheels loses traction at only 25 ft lbs (because it's on ice), the other wheel will receive an equal amount (25 ft lbs) They may or may not be enough to move the vehicle forward (it usually isn't) but both wheels are still powered. Just my $0.02
Must be having some special brownies there in Colorado with thanksgiving because you know there is no way in hell that the joke AWD system that Honda slapped on those things would have gotten it up the same roads that those trucks took. They have said many times in previous vids that there is another route there that the camera crew takes.
Steven Vanheel no he’s right. With a 5.2 and open diff 3.55 it’s best to stick to around a 33. My Dodge has a 5.9 and limited slip 3.92 diff, I won’t run anything taller than a 35.
About the Honda, they've mentioned before that there is a road that comes up the back side of the hill that regular cars can drive up. Which it did. ;)
I got a soft spot for the sound of a Mopar LA V8! I've had both GMC/Chevy and Dodge, and I prefer my Dodges. I'd take a 360 over the 318 though, those things are ANIMALS!!
The expensive built Chevy sounds better, the Dodge sounds like it has the cheapest and loudest glasspacks a high schooler could find. Seriously, with as much money was spent on that 350, it better have a solid performance exhaust and not just cherry bombs. Also I vote to loose the truck nutts, they have never been cool and they never will be cool.
Dodgezilla... sounds like a great idea, but frankly that truck is the worst example of a dodge 2nd gen build I’ve ever seen. Coulda made a dodge amazing but that looks like a half assed, cobbled together, piss poor example of a dodge.
I don't know , what we did was buy a bracket made for death wobble that connected the steering box (which we replaced) to the frame brackets of the anti-sway bar. And replaced the track bar and steering ball joints and then an alignment. It took all that to get rid of it. It mostly occurs in short wheelbase lifted trucks and jeeps. Ford has some wobble like that on some F450-550s that needs a differential frame brace. Ford denies it exists. Of course Chrysler denies it's a problem.
MrTruckTV Yes very true regarding Ford's death Wobble situation being denied and recognized. My truck is a shortbed, I will look into getting a sway bar and a addressing all the other little things that come with it. I thank you very much for your answer based on your knowledge of experiences Mr. Truck.
Well... I'm bias because I have an 82 k30, crew cab long bed srw, lifted. But I do fancy that green k10. Very decent looking and you can tell it runs n drives like a daily driver
For those saying it was not impressive at all because there was a Honda right next to big green, THERE ARE OTHER WAYS T GET UP THE HILL. the Honda probably went up a already cleared path.
LOL - another great one! Maybe it's just me...but I don't have the energy for the low-rate excitement of making it up a small hill in a big truck with no lockers. If TFL ever needs access to the SUV 4x4 benchmark, just let me know ('93 3-locker Land Cruiser) edit: Mr. Truck's truck sounds best on account of the elephantine barbed-wire headache bar.
If you want to do some quality uphill/down hill off roading for a whole day you should go and do the white rim trail by Moab then maybe you will learn to love your trucks a little more !
I'd like to take my truck up a hill like that. See what it can do. We don't have many trails like that in the prairies. I've got a 2003 f150 4wd with the 3.73 limited slip rear end.
Ya that 4x set up dodge switched to was a mistake. I have a 2nd gen 2500 and put a free spin kit on it. Dana 60 and 80 with locking hubs. Now it’s tough and you know it’s in 4x. Lol. P.S nothing sounds better then a mopar in the ketchup.
Big Green sounds better. It also looks better. I'm a fan of Ram trucks but that thing looks like a joke with the bedliner and headliner, and the truck nuts make it look like Kent is compensating for something.
Tom Fielding Big Green sounds like a hotrod at idle but roars like a Grizzly Bear at full throttle.
Tom Fielding I think it looks funny as hell, and I believe that's why he has it that way. I also believe it's stupid to think he's doing it to try to look cool
Tom Fielding 9
Ko
Ya i love Dodge trucks but the chevy look a lot beter and sounds beter
The Magnaflow exhaust on Big Green definitely takes the cake!
Big Green sounds WAY better.
Also, Ken, you're a grown ass man...take the ridiculous truck nuts off!
Michael Smith he could do what ever he wants it America you scrub mopar is way better
Michael Smith DodgeZilla sounds WAY better than big green.
Michael Smith I like them big ole nuts!
Michael Smith personally though I think going bare back is bit out of taste, it would be better if he put a big ole Bush on the balls.
Sasmodog HAHAHA! That would be pretty hilarious
That 350 sounds a lot better than the 318
For Exhaust note It has to go to the Chevy, it just sounds ridiculously awesome.
Big Green had the best note.
"All you need is a little momentum and a dodge ram"
Quote of the year
Personally I like the sound of the dodge
I really like the channel but I think that you need harder trails to test on.
Yeah that was weak, could do that in a car!
Jeremy Mortensen , real arrogant... if you watched any other vids of gold mine hill it’s hard to go up without snow on top of it . I bet what ever beater pos car you got wouldn’t even make it to the trail. Your prolly just a 14-15 year old with zero off road experience . Ah well
@@Sureashellisntgoingtobemyemail I mean you can clearly see the camera car up there xd
I think that the Chevy sounded better, but the Dodge wasn't bad at all. They both made a great showing traveling up Gold Mine Hill.
I’d be more impressed if there weren’t a Honda CRV waiting at the top of stage 2, lol
Drew Peters I didn't notice at first. What a fail.
I saw that sitting there, I suspect it didn’t struggle nearly as much.
There's an easy route up, duh!
And you can go only downhill if you enter from the top point. Don't be idiots. Thanks.
There is an easier way in there and they have stated that before. Douche.
Frank White I feel like such an IDIOT! thanks for the correction. Lol
350 sounds better imo
I had a 1995 Dodge ram for 2 years then we gave it to my uncle.
I miss that truck.
Big green sounds way better. Take the nuts off the dodge!
The truck could bleed to death if I cut the Truck Nuts
Well it's a Chevy...
gootman2 Nah.
Dodge sounds way better
So if the truck has nuts that makes it a guy. Since MrTruck is inside a guy; he must be gay.
I try to answer truck questions in these comments, but comments by secretcitizen takes all the fun out of interacting with viewers. Oh well he's just one jerk, most of you are fun to talk to.
I love these off-road goofing off videos! You guys NEED to do more off-road content!
Clearly just a fun run! Lol
Love episodes like this. Thanks boys!!

If I had to decide, I'd say the Dodge sounds just a little better. But, they both sound amazing.
The fact that a Honda CR-V is already sitting at the top of the hill takes alot away from this vid
I’m sure it’s been stuck there for days lol
There's an easy route up, duh!
And you can go only downhill if you enter from the top point. Don't be idiots. Thanks.

Why can’t the all-wheel-drive Honda CR-V be on top I️ own one they are ok
Both sound good and both great trucks. Id be happy to drive either one of those trucks!!
Kent’s truck really needs bigger tires. Those little tiny tires are a bad fit for that big old loft kit, especially with the front axle all low.
Big Green's tires are only one inch taller, mine are wider
MrTruckTV keep the width, go taller! It looks like you have room to do it. Then you can really stomp on big green.
The dodge is nice. Bigger tires and a 318 will require some gears. Plus huge tires break stuff.
Mark Jones I doubt it. That’s why you have 4 low. 318’s are fairly torquey for being small blocks, and his has some performance mods like headers.
Steven Vanheel no he’s right. With a 5.2 and open diff 3.55 it’s best to stick to around a 33. My Dodge has a 5.9 and limited slip 3.92 diff, I won’t run anything taller than a 35.
When are you guys going to film Rusty Boy.
Big green is one of my favorite truck body styles ever, and big green sounds better looks better drives better, pretty much better in every way
About the Honda, they've mentioned before that there is a road that comes up the back side of the hill that regular cars can drive up. Which it did. ;)
Yep, Colorado Springs and Castlerock got about 2 inches of snow Friday night.
It's been exactly a year since this I just had to come back.
The exhaust sound winner by a landslide.....is big green!
BIG GREEN!!!
"And is it fix?" "Yes! Quit asking me that!" Lol funny stuff!! xD
How did the Honda get up there?
all about the tires
Hondas are badass. How else?
In reverse probably
Other easier route
A Mccauley AWD with winter tires.
Big green
I absolutely love all of y'all please never stop making videos
I got a soft spot for the sound of a Mopar LA V8! I've had both GMC/Chevy and Dodge, and I prefer my Dodges. I'd take a 360 over the 318 though, those things are ANIMALS!!
Big Green sounds badass! Love the Chevy super car sound
If you need a big jacked up 4 wheeler to get up that hill, then what is the tiny little Honda doing up there?
aristein88 they have a better, less steep hill for the camera crew, they have said this in videos and comments
Hey Mr. Truck who did your headliner?
came that way, I think it's what caused the divorce
The expensive built Chevy sounds better, the Dodge sounds like it has the cheapest and loudest glasspacks a high schooler could find. Seriously, with as much money was spent on that 350, it better have a solid performance exhaust and not just cherry bombs.
Also I vote to loose the truck nutts, they have never been cool and they never will be cool.
Ya, the sack is just stupid looking. Douchebag erroneous!
Whose Honda in the background
Could definitely do the first 2 stages in my FWD mazda tribute. Try and find a real challenge for the trucks,
+JcCameron93 sorry but you could not.
The Fast Lane Truck I've seen him do it.
The Fast Lane Truck must be a lot harder than it looks in the video!
Big green💕
Good show boys, quick question. If that hills so tough, how'd the Honda minivan full of camera equipment get there. 🤔🤔🤔
Big green sounds much better than the dodge.
The 350 makes music not sound, sorry mopar, not even close
I want the ram power wagon vs Nissan Titan pro4x
Jonathan garcia yes
No comparison. Power wagon would crush it.
That's not even a competition, the Power Wagon would destroy it.
Awesome video guys, like always. giving the viewers what they really want to see.
AWSOME VIDEO GUYS LIKING THE OLD SCHOOL VIDS
Chevy 350 sound better for me :D
Dodgezilla... sounds like a great idea, but frankly that truck is the worst example of a dodge 2nd gen build I’ve ever seen. Coulda made a dodge amazing but that looks like a half assed, cobbled together, piss poor example of a dodge.
Is big green for sale?
Was it hard for the Honda?
Exhaust note - Chevy all the way. If Dodge had a Hemi on the other hand, it would be a different story though.
yeah the 5.9 v8 sounds better than the 5.2. but either way the 5.8 hemi trucks are going extict.
Definitely Magna Flow!!!
Not as impressive when there is a Honda suv in the background at gold hill
Haha I was going to say the same thing.
Frank Clark Jr There is an easy route
Tsang Sung it’s called humor. I shouldn’t have to explain this or your a failure!
Tsang Sung you might want to check your facts, because Nathan did a video where he took the 17 Ridgeline up Gold Mine Hill and it made it.
Mr truck, about the death wobble... my 2008 Tundra Crewmax 2wd allegedly has the death wobble? How do I get rid of it?
I don't know , what we did was buy a bracket made for death wobble that connected the steering box (which we replaced) to the frame brackets of the anti-sway bar. And replaced the track bar and steering ball joints and then an alignment. It took all that to get rid of it. It mostly occurs in short wheelbase lifted trucks and jeeps. Lol, can't be too difficult if a Honda CRV can get up there.
Big green is a really nice truck
Ram FTW
Well... I'm bias because I have an 82 k30, crew cab long bed srw, lifted. But I do fancy that green k10. Very decent looking and you can tell it runs n drives like a daily driver
I like both. When you put a link coil over kit on the chevy it will be my favorite.
No contest, Big Green sounds way better. Even though the camera audio is terrible compared to real life.
Love how they always match a chevy with a brand new aftermarket engine against a worn-out Dodge or Ford
Whered he get horns on the front
Props to the CRV for making it up there as well
How much does Kent want for that truck?
10K, but it would be hard to part with it. Too much work, found out that Mopar does mean "more parts"
For those saying it was not impressive at all because there was a Honda right next to big green, THERE ARE OTHER WAYS T GET UP THE HILL. the Honda probably went up a already cleared path.
That barbed wire is so Goddamn tacky. I ain't even gonna touch the nuts or flaps.
Wait a minute is that a Mini van behind you guys going through the same stuff.
Great video wow this is better than the new trucks well almost lol hope you do more on the old trucks
LOL - another great one!
Maybe it's just me...but I don't have the energy for the low-rate excitement of making it up a small hill in a big truck with no lockers.
If TFL ever needs access to the SUV 4x4 benchmark, just let me know ('93 3-locker Land Cruiser)
edit: Mr. Truck's truck sounds best on account of the elephantine barbed-wire headache bar.
Old vs Old - a comment about the trucks or the drivers? ;-)
Dodge.
Do I see a Honda CR-V next to hit green?
Good old school wheeling. No crawling just gassing.
I wonder if the little Honda minivan had to break the trail for them?
Stationary Rev Big Green Wins the Exhaust note Competition.
Moving Rev Dodgezilla Wins.
aww that sweet 350 sound 😩😩👌👌
I love you Mr.truck
That looks like a lot of fun guys
Braggin their powerfull 4WD V8 trucks but suddenly a AWD 4 banger Honda CRV appears to ruin the show and magic... hahaha beautiful xD
If you want to do some quality uphill/down hill off roading for a whole day you should go and do the white rim trail by Moab then maybe you will learn to love your trucks a little more !
no lockers in the rear seems crazy... but where was Andre with a comparable Ford?!
I'd like to take my truck up a hill like that. See what it can do. We don't have many trails like that in the prairies. I've got a 2003 f150 4wd with the 3.73 limited slip rear end.
BIG GREEN has the best exhaust sound!
Why would you upgrade the 350 I would have got a 454 and upgraded the shot outa it
Hey TFL, where's Rusty Boy?
Why's the Dodge guy have a mustang jacket on
Big green sounds way better
Chevy for the exhaust note
Gotta say it’s close!! But that dodge is mean as hell!! Ram one the exhaust note!
T Parrish ram sounded like shit compared to the k10
I’m in love with that CK...
Would be awesome to see another old Ford pickup build
That Honda made it look easy too lol 😂
The dodge sounds like a straight open exhaust on a V6 Mustang. The chevy sounds much cleaner and sounds like a v8
Well I could have spent another $100 and got dual exhaust, but my budget is limited
MrTruckTV is that your dodge ?
Yes
MrTruckTV if you have a limited budget you can't own a dodge of any kind sorry man the chevy sounds much better
Z BEAR you clearly haven't heard one in person. The dodge is too loud for the mic but sounds completely different on RUclips vs actually hearing it
Both trucks did pretty good.
Tfl where is Brian did he get fired
Ya that 4x set up dodge switched to was a mistake. I have a 2nd gen 2500 and put a free spin kit on it. Dana 60 and 80 with locking hubs. Now it’s tough and you know it’s in 4x. Lol.
P.S nothing sounds better then a mopar in the ketchup.
I like the sound of the 318 Magnum. But I still gotta go with the 350 Rat.
So is new still better than old since the 2nd gen Dodge made it up the same hills as the 4rth gen Dodge, probably should make a new video on it
Dodge all day
Only thing cooler than climbing the hill with Big Green would be doing it with a K5 Blazer.
