Here are the review notes for this Sukhoi EDF Jet:
Pros:
- The assembly was straight forward & the manual was helpful
- Tear-down will be easy at the field for easy transport
- The paint job has really nice detail with little to no over spray
- Its bright lights really stand out
- The air brake is a really cool functional scale touch
- Rugged retracts with good suspension also stand out
Cons:
- For those of us trying to transport it in smaller cars, the little antennas already added on have to potential to cause headaches
- The tail piece that slides in by the exhaust should have come magnetic out of the box like the nose cone for easier transport. However, I was able to easily mod that.
- One elevator side moved easier than the other. The right one was catching and needed some sanding on the friction points to work with symmetry. You mileage may vary :)

The E-flite Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF jet replicates this rarely modeled fighter in striking Extra Scale detail and offers unique flight characteristics and features. From its large size, functional air brake and highly-detailed retractable landing gear to the twin power system and the awesome turbine-like sound it delivers, this Su-30 is designed to impress. The model also features a unique Russian Falcons trim scheme that adds to the authenticity and in-flight visibility.
The E-flite Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF jet replicates the seldom-modeled Sukhoi fighter with power, maneuverability, and Extra Scale details that all combine for a truly incomparable flying experience. With its twin EDF units running in sync, the Su-30 sounds like a giant-scale turbine-powered jet - and because of its impressively large size it flies like a big jet, too. The 12-blade 70mm fans feature brushless inrunner motors that are paired with 80A ESCs wired to use a single 6S 5000-7000mAh LiPo battery. This power system produces excellent top speed and vertical performance, while the factory-installed, metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped linkages deliver precise control. Functional Extra Scale features include a deployable air brake, LED landing and navigation lights, full-flying stabs, sequenced gear doors and electric retracts with shock-absorbing struts including a trailing-link nose gear so the Su-30 can be flown from a wide variety of surfaces. And a multitude of Extra Scale details make it a standout on the tarmac and in flight, including molded-in panel lines and hatches, removable optional-use ordnance, cockpit detail and a factory-applied finish with a unique high-visibility trim scheme (EFL01050).

the twss moment had me cracking up!! Yes the Su-30 does fly big for sure! Gotta remember to carry a little throttle on landing and use that to control your sink rate... that will prevent the bounces. But for 2 flights that a pretty damn good job!! I still kinda want one of these but with the newer 1900kv motors!
Oh yeah brother! I was so scared having that much money in the air that I was too tense on the maiden. The second flight was looser, but I only had nerves and packs for two flights lol

This is an excellent well built model. Beautiful review and its one of my favorite Russian jets. The fit and finish is very well done with a lot of plastics. After having one there were two cons that I found that were killers for me. The first is the battery bay (location) makes the plane nose heavy with very little ability to adjust it. There is no getting it off a short runway or grass with out a substantial roll out. The second is flight time/power. The power system once in the air flies this plane well enough but it felt anemic because of the size. Had this been an 80mm size plane I felt it would have been superior. Im hoping that perhaps Freewing will do a larger size of this like the Mig or maybe Horizon will update this one. A twin battery setup with some adjustments would have made this plane amazing! Great test flights on a gray day and love the air brake on it. I put flaperons on mine to help slow it down, made take offs and landings a little easier. Great review GB!
