It happened once again. I didn't know I needed to make a Sci-fi street lamp and now I 100% have to! Thank you Ponte. You and Josh have given me so much info and techniques. You guys ROCK!
I think it's worth noting the Alt D copies are also far less expensive machine resource wise, because they share object data with only a different transform for it's location, so it doesn't have to duplicate all the data in memory, it just tells it "repeat this data in this location" so it only need to exist in memory once, and each copy is the memory footprint of a transform, and a pointer to the data. So it's more useful than the surface level. It can help keep the memory footprint of a scene manageable in complex scenes where deep copies can really bog things down.
i followed your first scifi lamp tuoto and it didn't have shading and composting part . when i did that tuto i added lights and some environment but the light from the lamp doesn't feel usual . now thank you very much for this one sir
gotta say its incredibly hard learning this addon. Even trying to follow this tutorial - I'm already lost at 5:22 when you are selecting edges in Edit mode and selecting the occlude option using Tab (not there for me). I can't tell if this is showing an older version or if I don't have something setup correctly. I don't know where to even begin as someone who just purchased this and theres a million tutorials for years and they all seemgingly look and behaving differently.
this isnt for beginners, grab either the free terminal course or our ultimate guide to hardops and boxcutter. I also have multiple guide on YT for beginners. Tab has nothing to do with hops, its machine tools.
Hi, Around 10:31 I am lost don't know how you got the box cutter to add to the object the intersecting horizontal bar, when I do it it cuts away though object,, what am I doing wrong?
It will be easier for you not to learn if you make models that the new blender students following you can do and the shortcuts are not used much. Thanks from Turkey

thanks so much
You are too good at this!.
maybe one day, but probably not even then
I want to know how you come up with these ideas. I mean...a sci-fi lamp post!? Brilliant, but so random👍
i just visualise things i want to model, kinda mind sketching if you will

I'm having issues with my cuts mirroring in rela time like yours even though I think Ive done everything right, any tips ?
check order of modifiers, bool above mirror
Unapplied modifiers are straining my computer's ram. How can I solve this problem?
We will have a meeting on this next Tuesday, stay tuned.

@@PonteRyuurui hahahaha
We don't have shortcuts and etraaddons, models are always unfinished, of course, in videos
well then buy the addons, shortcuts you can see on the screen, and iof not i voice them out, the model is finished, what are you on about

Hi
