I accompanied one of my good friends on a play through of FFX during the quarantine. We hopped on a PlayStation party and he would shareplay the game with me. I watched as he played. We talked about the story and analyzed the characters together. I saw the whole thing, starting from beginning, going through the grind of leveling up, finding the aeons, the celestial weapons, monster arena and fighting the dark aeons. Ultimately, we arrived to the greatest challenge that game has to offer, Penance. At the end, we both walked out with the trophy of perseverance (well, my friend did lol, I was just there for moral support, but still I witnessed the fight). Anyone out there reading this, this is a game that I truly recommend from the bottom of my heart. For gamers that enjoy story telling and character development , FFX has that and more! I feel blessed that I am alive and I was able to experience such a beautiful game with one of my bros. I hope others get a chance to play FFX and experience the unique story. You’ll never forget about it.
This sounds so nice! It reminds me of that time when I was a child and watched my brothers playing this game. When I became older, I played this game with my best friend together. We discussed all the time which one of us, should play a certain part of the game (ofc I got all the boss fights because my friend was too afraid of it hahaha ) It was awesome. When I played this game alone a couple of times , it was still amazing but it is more amazing when you can share your feelings during the game with someone else. This game means alot to me. I even consinder about getting a tattoo with the sentence "listen to my story"after quarantine is over hahahah because I have sooo much good memories that I can share because of FFX
Final Fantasy X was actually my First Final Fantasy, and my collection currently sits at 1, VI, VII, VII, X, and X-2. I've revisited it this last year, I'm attempting to 100% the game. But, the one challenge I've yet to overcome is to get Lulu's Crest, I believe, where you have dodge 200-300 lightning bolts. Dodging that many IN TOTAL wouldn't be a big issue, but, you have to dodge them IN A ROW! That is a challenge I have yet to surpass to this day.
Still need to attempt even taking at shot at those dark aeons. God the celestial weapons be such a GRINDDDDDD though xD ah welp at least I’ve beaten the game once and gotten as far as the omega dungeon. Probably more then most can say.
Me n my brothers bond over these games too. When I was a kid, I remember seeing some other kid playing FFIX. I wanted the game, so got the folks to get FF8 for PC. Was my first... I only made it to disc two before we moved elsewhere. Then I get a PS One and FF9... my older bro never let me play bc he was so into it. Well, I get FF7 and play when HE gets a PS2 and plays FFX. I feel like I've won bc he never played 7, and thats a friggin masterpiece. HE played 15 and 12 which i never beat yet. But I played 13 when it came out and beat it. Younger bro plays 9, 10... hes really good.
FFX's soundtrack really is just perfect for this kind of thing. There's so many tracks that are already super airy. Like, drifting along in an endless ocean is literally part of the cinematography several times throughout the game.
The Asian inspired world building of FFX is just so inspirational . Tidus being a dream that came from the sea. The whole soundtrack is just one big dreamscape. This game has aged like wine and holds all of its flavor to this day unlike older installments.
