I promised you guys some FFX and I am here to deliver! X-2 comp will be next, more than likely. FFX is one of those games that always feels like "home" to me. I've honestly played X and X-2 probably once every year or two since they came out and it always feels like a homecoming to me.
Sooo, the video title is a sliiiight lie, actually. Most of these are piano melodies, but there are three songs I went a little extra on and they include some extra instruments: Servants of the Mountain (Mourning Gagazet), Where Zanarkand Sleeps, and Sending to the Otherworld.
Who was your favorite Aeon? I love them all, but Yojimbo has a special place in my heart. Zanmato!

Genuinely, thank you so much for making this. This game was a huge part of my life growing up, and my cousin and I loved playing it (he sadly died by suicide last year). I love listening to FFX mixes and thinking about those good times. The fact that people like you create this gorgeous music and let us enjoy it, expecting nothing in return, is so inspiring and touching. Sending you all the goodest vibes!
I'm so terribly sad to hear about your cousin; I understand those feelings a little from when I lost my best friend to something similar over a decade ago. There are things I relate to them and those times that I treasure extra-more because they're one of the few things left that let me picture when they were still here. It's like somehow, the feeling of some of those memories associated with the games we played help keep that small part of them here with us.

FFX is one of those stories that means so much, it's really Beautiful, and your renditions of the soundtrack are really very pretty.
In answer to your question my favorite Aeon is Valefor, she pulled me out of the fire more than once in my first playthrough, and makes me feel like 'I can fly'
Valefor is in my top three for sure
My favorite Aeon is Shiva but Valefor is close to my heart too
also I always cry during the truth scene and the ending 😭

Love this so much. This video really gave me an appreciation for the Travel Agency song for some reason haha. Just the instrumentation, slowed down tempo....I love getting the chance to see FF songs that I've listened to for decades in a new light. Thank you so much for this!

FFX is such a work of art
If you can look past its age and just focus on the emotions of the story, it will be unforgettable.
Automatically one of the best ffx mixes just because it doesn't lead in with To Zanarkand. The compositions of each track are lovely as well.

One of my favorite video game soundtracks to relax to! Sometimes will turn on the game just to hear the music. I loved your covers of the songs and do not even get me started on the visuals! Definitely made it to the top of my favorite covers of FFX music. I am looking forward to FFX-2! I used to do that so much when I was little! I remember some games we had on SNES had the option to listen to the background music in the options menu and I'd just sit there sometimes listening and enjoying while I worked on homework and such.
I do have plans to do some more final fantasy comps but not sure what order to do them in quite yet! I'm always welcome to suggestions, though!

Loking forward for FFX-2. It has some great pieces too but memory of lighwaves is one of my favourites for sure. I still remember booting up the game and just staring at the main menu lol

omg i love this so much. With all the ff9 and ff10 refs in ff14's new expansion I got really damn nostalgic and started listening to ff9 and ff10 tracks again. This is so nice!! I love it!

@@henriedavid the PeluPelu's and literally Tobli is a character from ffx/x-2 and the new beast tribe/allied society theme music is the Travel Agency theme from ffx

@@AtelierMinuette Theres a whole tribe of Toblis now! All merchants! xD It's wonderful. I was so happy they added these little guys. They are not as small as Tobli, but they are of smaller stature. I'll link you the theme here! The start is the travel agency (it is literally a travel agency for the area to teach about the land and it's people and customs) and it has a little ff14 twist to it :D
Edit: OH and of course I can't forget Anima. She's also in ff14 as the last boss of a dungeon!
And Ixion is a special fight you can do and get him as a giant mount as a reward.

I played FFXV, a bit of FFX, some FFXII and FF Stranger of Paradise. I'm still trying to expand my FF experience. I never got into FF myself until about 3ish years ago and I'm 33! Haha I can't believe I missed out for so many years on something so awesome ❤

when i play this game im still a boy and all people i love are still alive and now they are gone, this melody is looks like a time machine turn me to a boy, without pressure for tax, salary, mortgage... Many thanks at least i have a couple of time to remind myself

This is beautiful, I love these so much!♥️ do you think you could also do one for final fantasy 7? I have always loved its music. Side note how do you do your art? Do you have a method for it or is it kinda just do it?
I can do some FF7 ones sometime in the future c: Hmm...Drawing in this type of style is mostly just blocking colors and shapes in and using a lot of texture brushes and blenders to kind of try to get a painty feel, focusing only a little bit on details, and then putting a grainy texture + some lighting enhancements over it.
My usual style (not pictured here) is a whole other monster LOL takes me forever, which is why atm I'm doing these kinda concept art/silhouette style for smaller videos c:

Oh wow, I thought this would be the piano album they released for X (I love all the piano albums, even for the FFs I hate or didn't play). But you played these! Do you actually use a piano, or are you using software?
Either way, thank you for sharing! If this is your content, I definitely need to sub. ESPECIALLY with an X-2 coming along. Will you be including Wind Crest - The Three Trials? It's my absolute favorite, even though it was originally for the International version only. The only one that comes close there is Eternity - Memories in Lightwaves.
Like you said, X is like coming home. X-2 and XV also make me feel that way. X-2 came into my life when I was Yuna's age, though I played it few years after it first released, so that's why those two mean so much to me. XV makes me think of all the cross-country driving I've done, and I don't care what anyone says, its story was one of the most poignant ones for me.

Aww, thank you for such a lovely comment! I use both piano keyboard and software. I've been working on X-2's comp on the side, and yes to Wind Crest c: I also really loved FFXV, I loved the dynamic with The Boys lol
