i don't think that's possible. Xiao is already friends with the traveler yes, however, I read somewhere that yakshas fate will always be murdered, suicide, or just giving up and hiding away forever. This has already happened before. Xiao ended up fighting from dusk till dawn once and the curse was so strong it almost killed him, Venti saved him with his music and reminded Xiao who he really is, what his duty is. Yet Xiao still doesn't have the answer to the meaning of his life. Protecting Liyue is his duty, but could there be more? He doesn't think so. one day this will happen again, because will power always runs out. Xiaos kindness and willpower is still there. But the day will come when the curse is too much to bear. And Xiao becomes the things he kills.

I grew up in Canada but I can proudly say that I am Chinese because my parents have always instilled in me my culture. I can speak, read, write, and listen to Chinese fluently and I am ok at understanding ancient Chinese poetry as well, I also know the histories and etc. This hits differently when you understand completely, especially the poetry. This was so well organized, starting with an anecdote from Beidou as if we never knew him, his debut, then Ganyu talks about him to give us a hint and we actually see the shit he goes through, then learn about even more shit he went through before, then we can finally relax with him, finally getting to chill during the rite and how happy that makes all of us 😭
Omg i cant begin to explain how much i love this, the pacing of everything( Like the beginning started with Beidou's lines and then Xiao's introduction or when Xiao's greeting lines was placed right after he said he hears the wishes and cries of liyue people is pERFECT) the music goes so well too with every single scene TwT ngl this made me lowkey emotional ;w;
Xiao lore is so misunderstood. He isn’t an emo boy, his English voice was mistranslated. While yes the va is extremely talented, they made the voice lines way too directed towards the “emo” side. If you hear any of his other voices, they fit his actual lore much better. He doesn’t hate humans, he’s afraid he’ll hurt them if he ever goes near them cause of his karmic debt.
While I do agree that his jp and en voices in general are better, I have to disagree that his en shows his edgy or emo side. I am someone who can switch between English and anyother language in a second and not feel cringey or weird. I play Genshin with English voiceover, and I never have I ever thought of him in a way you described. The coarse sound in English makes me feels like his voice is full of scars, yet it's contained within him. I really loved his jp voice back in 1.1, but during the chasm quest and during the current lantern rite, I have come to truly appreciate his English voice-over. He has been going through a lot for 2000+ years, he is very old, yet he is young. He is full of scars, seems rough but is very innocent at his core.... And the coarse English voice-over just started to represent all of that purrfectly to me.
Voice in general though all 3 > En. However the representation of his character is far from what you described. Honestly speaking those who play in Jp complain to me a lot about him being annoying and emo, while the 2 people who play with English voiceover, treat him as their son.
