My simple Christmas breakfast, 2 cans cinnamon rolls I place them on the baking sheet in the shape of a tree. I add a touch of green food coloring to the icing and then put a few sprinkles on it. My kids are now teenagers and still want me to make the cinnatree as they call it. I put out fresh fruit too.
Back in the day, when my kids were young, I made egg in the nest (toast with an egg cooked in the middle). They called it the “fancy breakfast”. 25 years later the routine is the same, stockings first, fancy breakfast, and then gifts.
We would do Christmas brunch with different small quiches and casseroles/breakfast bakes made night before then put them in the oven next morning as the oven pre-heats and bakes the dishes. By brunch time-food is ready and there's enough to nibble on through the day.
I wish I could relax! I usually have 20-24 people! This year I am asking for sides and desserts while I make the main dish. I am always pooped but I wouldn’t change it for anything!

For the monkey bread… do you think pizza dough would work the same ? We are gluten free and they don’t make a can biscuit mix but I can get my hands on gluten free pizza dough.
