I don't understand why people still complaining about "Old LP". Linkin Park is the same, and it's going to be the same. It doesn't exist "Old LP" or "New LP". The only thing that change is their music that actually is softer than before. And, sorry LP fans, but I think that it won't be another Hybrid Theory or Meteora. They are going to evolve their sound because they want to still alive. Other bands like Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, etc. They still doing the same music and now they are forgotten. And don't say that Linkin Park make soft music because of electronic "things". Linkin Park used electronic music since 2000. You have to understand that they can't go back to Hybrid Theory or Meteora era. And another thing that I don't understand is why do people always have to complain about something. People never are satisfied. For example: if Linkin Park had never change their style and make the same music, the people will complain about that "Linkin Park is the same every album, I want a change, I'm beginning to be bored". But if they change their style: "I want Old LP"! This is all I have to say.
Damn!! The power he uses in his voice is just out of this world. Everytime I try to sing any LP song, My jaw and throat hurts so much and I can never end the song the way I started. But gosh! Chester does a whole concert and ends the last damn song, the way he sang the first one. Truly a vocal beast and an irreplaceable talent. I hope you found your peace of mind and you're free from your demons. 🙏
Chester had been singing from around 17 years old when he joined a local band which morphed into Grey Daze, his voice was NOT trained, he never saw a vocal coach, but he did pick up some things that trained singers do like going up through his scales to warm up his voice before every performance, and he learned that from other singers at the Concerts he went to, but he was a natural singer and you have to sing regularly to make sure you don't make mistakes about which key you're singing in and don't over stress your voice.

dude chester sounds so good, not firing any shots here but i find it hard to believe that this isn't auto tuned or something, but if it really is live dude, chesters is a freaking god.
Chester has always sounded amazing live. even up til his passing he sang hybrid theory era songs like it was 2004. A little worn out but still top tier. And think. Chester took almost 20 years to finally start losing his voice with the amount of screaming and scream singing he did. imagine if he hadn't mastered his technique. he'd have lost it years ago. the man was a true Icon and legend, gone waaaaayyy too soon. He will be forever missed
Wrong. They are mediocre musicians. They used autotune on the vocals heavily on 95% of their released songs. Look up "Melodyne", it's a pitch correction software that can even be used live. Mike advertises it on their website. The only correct thing you said is that they don't (normally) use playback. However interestingly, this particular performance sounds like Chester sang almost entirely playback. It sounds exactly like the studio vocals, with minor tweaks to make it imperfect and additional live vocals. But that could have been a decision forced upon them by the directtv executives. Those facts don't mean I hate LP, I just can't stand the way some people say that they are perfect or "real" musicians. They are far from it.

I cant believe he is gone. Linkin park was the first band ever I knew. I have been listening to them since I was 8 years old(now i am 19). At that time, i had a dvd of their texas concert, and i blasted their song everyday, facing the speakers outside the window. I really love their music. They will be my favorite band forever.
