Literally the only difference is he can’t hold notes as long as he can in the studio. I assume this is due to him moving around and not really being able to take in as much air and also having to tour all the time can be physically exhausting.
I miss Chester so much. There was just something about him. He had a four octave vocal range and combined that with his ability to go from a quiet whisper, to a powerhouse until he's screaming bloody murder...he was a true rough diamond.
In this show specifically. It's well known that Chester could not keep up the "studio" level when they were on tour. It was a matter of preserving voice and health. The screaming demanded too much. It doesn't make him less awesome tho.

Chester was probably one of the most important singer of rock history, of music history I dare to say. His death has totally bewildered all of us through this world. For the simple reason that nothing led to predict such an act. I think Chester was a man totally aware of his evil (I mean pain) inside and he has always known how to tame it until the day it was too much... You hardcore fans are gonna hate me for this BUT: I did meet Chester in the hallway of sunset sound in 2014. He said "hi man how's it going are you gonna be tech for us?? Where you from?" (Very enthusiastically) I replied like A capital asshole. "Na man I'm on holiday for a week I'm not into that screaming stuff" shook his hand and walked away. I returned a week later. They had run over time and there was this guy who I had VERY wrongly "boxed" as death metal screech standing in studio B singing an acoustic of crawling whilst Dave was playing the piano. My ass dropped. How I underestimated/miscalculated and damn naive I had been. I spoke with him again to apologise and he was like "for what man? How was your break?" Chester Bennington I can 100% vouch for is or was a truly unique and amazing person. Who did carry with him that "aura" that only certain special people can. I still think to this day how much I missed out on. I could have seen them 24/7 for 10 days "raw" And I went to big bear snowboarding instead. Damn.

Chester was probably one of the most important singer of rock history, of music history I dare to say. His death has totally bewildered all of us through this world. For the simple reason that nothing led to predict such an act. I think Chester was a man totally aware of his evil (I mean pain) inside and he has always known how to tame it until the day it was too much... He probably thought to himself '' this is over, there's nothing much I can do to fight the pain off ''. Like so many people and several months after this tragic event, I'm still deeply and really sad and I still can't realize such a man can't exist anymore. Chester will remain one of my most important reference forever.

You hardcore fans are gonna hate me for this BUT: I did meet Chester in the hallway of sunset sound in 2014. He said "hi man how's it going are you gonna be tech for us?? Where you from?" (Very enthusiastically) I replied like A capital asshole. "Na man I'm on holiday for a week I'm not into that screaming stuff" shook his hand and walked away. I returned a week later. They had run over time and there was this guy who I had VERY wrongly "boxed" as death metal screech standing in studio B singing an acoustic of crawling whilst Dave was playing the piano. My ass dropped. How I underestimated/miscalculated and damn naive I had been. I spoke with him again to apologise and he was like "for what man? How was your break?" Chester Bennington I can 100% vouch for is or was a truly unique and amazing person. Who did carry with him that "aura" that only certain special people can. I still think to this day how much I missed out on. I could have seen them 24/7 for 10 days "raw" And I went to big bear snowboarding instead. Damn.

Also the most important member was Mike. The whole band considers him the most important. He is the primary songwriter and Chester was the secondary one and it was followed with the ideas of every member. Each member is equally great and that's why Linkin Park is the greatest band of all time.
