Allow accessibility apps to access your Mac
When a third-party app tries to access and control your Mac through accessibility features, you receive an alert, and you must specifically grant the app access to your Mac in Security & Privacy preferences.
If you’re familiar with an app, you can authorize it by clicking Open System Preferences in the alert, then selecting the tick box for the app in the Privacy pane. If you’re unfamiliar with an app or you don’t want to give it access to your Mac at that time, click Deny in the alert.

You're right. The only application that appears there is "Zoom", but not Safari and the others that should appear. What I want is to know how to add more applications to the microphone to activate it, since I cannot speak in Google Meet through the microphone due to that problem.

What do you do if the app your looking for doesn’t appear there? I’ve uninstalled the app already and it made no difference.
Why wouldn't QuickTime not be listed as an app that can access MacBook Pro OS 11.2.3 Big Sir's camera?

if you have a problem that your app is not listed, try to reload your mac and try again. There should be pop-ups for camera and mic - click allow/ok
All this video did was confirm my problem. It provided no solutions on how to ADD programs/apps to the CAMERA list.

go to the options on the top of privacy settings and click "Privacy" and it should be listed there
Update your Mac I had the same issue the I updated it so it's good now

For the people that are facing an issue where the ‘Chrome’ browser icon is not showing in the Settings:
1. Start a ‘Google Meet’ in your Google Chrome browser (choose ‘Start a meeting now’)
2. You will get a pop-up request from Chrome to access your Camera + Mic
3. Give ‘access’ to all
4. Done!
Now if you go to your Camera + Mic setting in the Privacy & Security you will see that Chrome is now listed on both.

i have the 2023 macbook air and it works the same. thanks i couldn't get the mic on when using imovie. i wouldn't have looked here..

Hello. Hope you can help me. I installed a plugin to have a virtual talking head with a camera called OASIS. I cannot find a way to remove it from my MacOS M2 laptop. It always shows as the default camera. Any idea how to accomplish that?
open settings then type camera there will be some this like camera head pointer click on that then in the below left corner there will be an option named camera option from there you can check facetime camera to be default

Here's the solution:
You have to restart your macbook and then press and hold de CMD and R keys simultaneously, then turn on the Macbook.
Once you're on the recovery mode, go to utilities and open the terminal
Then type "csrutil enable" then hit enter
Then type "reboot" and hit enter
Now try to open Google Chrome in a Website like Google Meet, It will ask permissions to use the camera and Mic.
And it will be done.
Maybe you disable the csrutil in the past, that was my case.
I Hope this works for everyone.

Here's the solution:

@@denissef2898 Stay on google meet website, on the top left beside the apple logo click on safari, choose settings for this website and them options come there. I hope it helps.
