Well i do not work with sony but i am a very experienced Xperia user so if you didn't recieve the upgrade in a OTA way( Over The Air) what i should give you a tip is if you have a PC or Mac install the Xperia Companion (former name PC companion) on their website. If you have the app already installed plug your Xperia Phone with your own charging usb cable to the PC or Mac then it will show you automaticaly that the latest software is available for your phone. Click software update if it doesn't show it will do a force check to see if the update is available then click install to start the upgrade please keep in mind do not unplug the charger or touch your phone while updating. The update will take a while so be patient after it's finished the upgrade you can safely unplug the cable and turn on the device and wait about 5 min to finish the upgrade. And Voilà you got the Oreo software hope it helps for you that method did great for my phone.

nOTHING NEVER ???? ANYWAYS, XPERIA 5 V GOT UPDATED TODAY BUT I ALMOST DIDNT NOTICE .... AND IN SETTINGS THE NOTIFICATION IS SILENENCED WITH ALL OTHER OPTIONS GRAYED OUT .... It's only mono directional ( backwards only)

System navigation ->
Gesture navigation ->
To go Home, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
To switch apps, swipe up from the bottom, hold, then release.
To go back,
swipe from
either the left or right edge.

It didn't install new software update.
132.8 mb update is showing on screen but when download is complete it show update couldn't install. Can you please solve this issue .
