I recommend to get yourself a custom rom! Also if you never unlocked bootloader before then before doing that backup your DRM keys so u don't lose functionally!

You will need to flash the latest DP 4, If you need FTF file I can give you. Also you need a flash tool, THIS METHOD NO LONGER WORKS. DP4 has got some various bugs so I recommend not updating. I will recommend unlocking the bootloader (TAKE A BACKUP OF DRM KEYS) and then installing TWRP custom recovery and a custom rom. I would recommend CarbonRom! More info on: xda
Hey man. I tried doing this in my D6653 but it downloads android pie and it doesn't install. It says pie is not supported and reverts the phone back to marshmallow. Can u help me?

No, for Z3C I would recommend you getting a custom rom. Perhaps as per my testing and knowledge LineageOS is the best. Battery life is just fine and doesn't have as many bugs as others. Before unlocking bootloader you shall probably figure out what you'll lose, specifically for Sony phones.
@@Itroublve thanks for the reply, it's possibly a little beyond me but I'll research how to go about what you recommend, the battery life is a little shorter than it should be, even tho it's new old stock, though I do have battery care, charging optimisation turned on which limits how full the battery is charged, I might try turning that off and see how much longer I get

No... But I would recommend a custom rom tbh, personally I love LineageOS 17.1, fairly smooth and constantly updated. There are drawbacks tho, just read about them by typing DRM keys lose... You can back them up and restore in case u just want to try how it is ;)

Pretty sure the phones hardware doesn't support anything above marshmallow.

Does the microphone work after restart? And are you on the official firmware?
I would suggest reinstalling fw and if you don't mind "factory resetting after reinstalling fw" if the issue isn't fixed with reinstalling
No, it doesn't work after restart.. I found my phone don't like to use non brand earphone.
