BETTER THAN WATERCOLOUR PENCILS!? | How To Use Derwent Inktense Blocks
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 июн 2024
- So today I stumbled upon some Derwent Inktense Blocks, and looking at the pictures I knew I had to test them out! And I was a little sceptical to begin with, I wasn't sure how to use these Derwent Inktense Blocks and I had no idea how many different applications they would have; from grating, scraping, washing, concentrated, diluting into an ink etc! I've always been a huge fan of watercolour pencils, and I can easily say these beat them hands down! I will say the Derwent Inktense Blocks are a little on the pricier side, especially if you're wanting some of the larger collections of them with more colours, but I do think they're worth it! But let me know what your thoughts were on these Derwent Inktense Blocks? And whether you've tried them/will be trying them in the future!

Well it's safe to say I was very pleased with these ink stick things! 😅😅
Well these are quite impressive Ant 👏🏻👍🏻😃 pleased you enjoyed yourself 🤗🥰🥰
Anthony you should try scrawlr box. It's a monthly art subscription box with different supplies. And there's also a challenge word in each box. Would be cool new series to try to make a craft including what's inside. Pretty sure it's a uk based company. I could see you having fun trying to come up with a craft for some new art supplies
I really felt your description of art material excitement in my soul. I also get way too excited for art supplies
Congrats on the pillow! I hope it helps your back!
Inktense is so fun. You can do so kuch with it. You can even just pick up with a wet brush and paint like you would from watercolor pans. And it is permanent after it dries so it won't lift up when you layer it if it is been completely dissolved. Plus its even permanent on fabrics and can be used on canvas bags or cotton t shirts which I think would be really fun to see you do sometime.
You can also pick up the pigment with the brush straight from the block as well and it will be very vibrant
Yes it feels to me like a watercolour palette I have where I put watercolour paint in and let it dry and as I wet it I use it
Ant, if you want more girth (😉) Derwent does XL Blocks as well. There are, I think, Inktense, Graphitint, Tinted Charcoal and regular charcoal & graphite.
Now that you have these, you absolutely need to try silk painting!
Also, excellent trees. Proper jelly here!
I have the Derwent Inktense pencils and I use them more than any other art product.
I found your channel a couple days ago, you got a sub for life bro 💚 adore your editing style and energy!
Ah thanks! 😊😊 And welcome to the channel! 😁😁
Those ink stick thingys are vibrant. Amased at what all you can do with them. Have a blessed and great weekend Ant!
Oh they were pretty cool! 😊 Ah and thanks! Hope you have a great weekend too! 😊😊
So lovely to see you excited about these ink stick thingys. My heart went all warm and fuzzy with your excitement! They do look pretty cool. Might have to get a se one mortgage on the house and buy some for myself! 😉❤️
Oh they were so much fun! 😁 Haha, yeah pretty pricey! 😆😆
2:03 idk why but the way you’re holding the watercolour blocks & the ring on your finger is just sending me 😭
You have nice hands!
Oh I have boney old hands 🤣🤣
@@AnthonyCrammen You’ve got hands that are ready to create cool art! 😎
Ooh I've not seen these before! They look fabulous to play around with 😊
Oh I loved them! 😁😁
Oh Anthony, have a delightful hour. I have some hidden art plans.
I've never heard of these either but they look fun, adding it to the ever growing list of art supplies I need to try lol
😅😅
I like these, I think they’re pretty neat!
I really enjoyed them! 😁😁
I got excited watching you paint with them :) LOL
😆😆
Hey Anthony I found you’re channel from the video you did on latch and hook as I just started doing that but omg I fell in love with your personality and I have now subscribed!
Ah welcome to the channel! 😊😊
Glad you enjoyed testing these out Anthony. I live under a neuro diverse rock, so don't know about 90% of the stuff that happens in life. I mean, just last week, someone told me about a thing called a video recorder - apparently you record programmes from the TV and watch them back, as often as you like!!! I had to check it wasn't 1st April, but no, they are a real thing. Who knows what they'll think of next!! 😜🤣🤣
Haha!! Well who knows?! Possibly streaming shows on the internet or something crazy?! 🤯🤯🤣🤣
@@AnthonyCrammen Nah. What you been smoking?? 🤣🤣
@cblaney3931 🤣🤣🤣
I really love how they look, I’ve seen a few videos on them now, and I want to try them so bad 😣
Great video as always! Your content is always so entertaining, I still don’t understand why you aren’t more popular
Oh they were quite fun to use! 😁😁 Haha I know right?! I think RUclips hates me 🤣🤣
@@AnthonyCrammen same here! I think they just prioritise big RUclipsrs 🤷♀️
@AnnaAttemptsArt1 Unfortunately so! 🫠🫠
Everything you said about these my wife agreed with, an O from art supplies.
These inktense sticks are great! I have the brusho pots are fab too!
Oh so much fun! 😁😁
Nice product!!! Love your cushion!!
Oh it's helping my back soo much! 🤣🧓
Those look really cool. I saw both you and Luxcinda use the brusho crystals, and I loved the way those looked, so I bought them. Maybe I'll buy these and try them to.
Oh the Brusho paints are super nice! I think you'll enjoy these too, not as vibrant as the Brusho paints, feel more like watercolours, but really great to work with! 😁😁
I love Intense pencils on silk scarfs as they are permanent ink. (I've never used them paper.) Try them on your t-shirts. Great video Ant.
Oh good idea! 😁😁
Excellent review! Thank you❣️
Ah no problem! 😊😊
they also work well on fabric 😁
Oh I never thought of that! 😁
Good on you for calling oit content creators for scamming their audience with product placement!! ❤
Oh it's becoming ridiculous! Some of them proper take advantage of their viewers, pisses me off lol!
Thanks for a great video
Ah no problem! 😊😊
daaaamn, when you spritz the paper I had the same exact reaction. I'm a slut for not fully mixing acrylic paint when I paint with it, having the texture of the paint and brush strokes and having some of it mixed and some of it separate- I dunno man it's just so GOOD.
Haha glad I'm not the only one! 😆😆
Brilliant video as usual, this time you're not ranting (apart from the price haha). I cannot remember if you have tried mica powder - lots of uses for it like inktense blocks, or tried Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder, I love them which works the same as mica which obviousl the same. I love wetting the paper with water and sprinkle the powder onto it and watch it !
Haha I know it makes a change! 😆😆 I've used mica powders in a few things, not sure on their own though!
Sometimes you don't need chunky, thin and delicate can do the job if you know what to do with it. As long as you are not too heavy handed avoid too much elbow grease or other slippery substances.
😂
🤣🤣
P.S lovely cushion! You have to look after yourself now that you are 29! 😘😉🤣❤️
Haha definitely!! 🤣🤣
When is your art show? I'll buy .
😆😆
How about trying calligraphy / brush pen writing?
Yeah, great. versatile and all but I bought them about 2 years ago and can’t figure out what to do with them.
Oh I think they'd be nice for some kind of mixed media artwork or something? Possibly combining them with some nice fine liners 😁
🩷😍🩷
😊😊
Hey Ant, thanks for another cool video and another review! It certainly looked like you had fun testing the Inktense out, and hopefully you get the chance to use them in a future project! Just be on your guard - that elephant looks like it had its eye on your comfy new cushion
Ah no problem! Oh I know! They can keep their paws of it!! 🤣🤣
@@AnthonyCrammen They'd better do! 😂😂 Hope you're having a great weekend so far
@kingmerry10 Haha! I am indeed, just at work again lol! Hope you're having a great weekend too! 😁😁
