Sorcerer is by far the hardest build in D1 but also the most OP at later levels. Once you get to the point of getting a book of mana shield, the sorc becomes by far the most powerful character in D1. Mana shield lets you use your mana points as hit points - and unlike the warrior where you need to dump your stats into vit for health and str for damage - for the sorc you can dump ALL points into magic always for both - and end up with far more "hit points" than the warrior when mana shield is applied, and with good RNG do far more damage ranged. But until then, unless you know how to "cheat" the game at times, you will constantly die as a sorc. It gets more complicated again on Nightmare and Hell difficulties - when you end up with triple immune monsters which your sorc can't damage. If you've been really lucky, you have stone curse + golem at higher levels. At least, if you have Hellfire, you can get a book of apoc (if you really want to see OP, get a staff of apocalypse :)
It breaks my brain at how difficult it was for the chat to explain how to save shop. Save, hit new game, select character, and you're back right in front of whomever you saved at with new inventories. Takes half a second if. You spam enter after hitting new game.
you might think that shopping wirt and saving and reloading ect isnt worth it but its like doing d2 and hoping to get a unique and you do that over and over and over! Wirt has some great items.
lol you used gris edge this late? The knock back effect is just as bad in D1 mechanics vs D2. I’m skipping through chunks(3 mins in) so I hope you figure this out in the next 3 hours
Phil, you really need to try D1 with the Beelzebub mod, god. That is s tier. Basically it has everything that blizz wanted to put in it and some extra.
Beelzebub isn't bad but also is not the original experience. It's a complete remake and doesn't play or feel like the original. DevilutionX is by far the best way to play original D1 today.
I would not recommend sorc to a new player though - it's the hardest to build. Unless you really know what you're doing, until midway through the game when you have decent spells and book of mana shield they will be constantly dead. That being said, endgame they're OP.
@@ryanjay6241 It is constant shoping to geht a book of Mana shield. When you habe Mana shield it is really easy. The beginning ist a bit harder but it is worth the time especially because you dont need good gear.
Frustrating watching your chat explain that even as a warrior, you have guardian spell due to the quest reward, AND enough mana to cast it. But you just ignore what their saying and say no your a warrior... 5 minutes later talking about how there must be a strategy for the mages..... Listen to the chat and if it dont make sense then ask them lol
Ou my god, such a statement ..., bro - there does not exists anything in diablo 1 what is completelly resistant to ALL MAGIC, you will struggle a lot man. Immunity means - to be imune, other words 0 damage by that type of magic spell. Resistance - means partially immune, in other words - smaller, but damage. Here you faced fire immune entity - means "fire = 0 damage", but obviously lightening = damage. And as he does not have resistances - it means Lightening makes FULL damage. Fact that 2 lighenings did not killed him - means - you need to use yet chargebolts. BTW - book of holy bolt would destroy him as well :)
Actually, there are a few enemies completely resistant to ALL MAGIC, Google "triple immunes". I don't think they show up on Normal difficulty, but on Nightmare and above, you can absolutely get triple immunes where you need stone curse and golem to even survive as sorc.
Got me back into playing diablo1 for the first time in 10 years

Had a baby yesterday hoping she gets to come home this week
@Sweet Phil @2:20:00 Skullfire (Red Aura Champion Enemy) is immune to fire//
Leoric can take firewall damage
My brother and I played a pair of sorcerers on the Playstation version of D1. When we got to Diablo, we killed him before he even got on screen.
How do you get this game for pc? Can’t ever find a way to play it without a disk of the game.
They have it on gog, runs pretty well.
Newly subbed for the D1 content. Hope you keep doing it
blood knights look glorious
If you get monsters in a corner and attack them from an angle and not the side they can't teleport and you can hopefully stun-lock them

Should always be using those elixers
They are permanent use til it says no
They work great when used at start and once maxed just keep uping the stats with Stat points

@@ryanjay6241yea devilution is the best
fellas
This is why my first char always is a sorcerer. Kill speed, mana shield and teleport ist key for farming. Warrior first is boring.

First the Butcher and now Diablo couldn't even hit you
Strangest thing I ever saw
People like watching you reset looking for gear when you have gold to burn dont be scared
Just run a virtual machine with win 95 or 98
