This is pretty much the only channel I follow and have churned out 6 different projects. This will be my next one. The best channel, no unnecessary talking and easy to follow. Thank you.
Just finished making my poncho but I used “the wrong side” as the front instead because I actually liked the “stripes” that were on the “backside” instead of the “front side” pattern, especially of the two different colors I used since I couldn’t find the right kind of yarn to use and had to use two strands of yarn as one but chose to use two colors. But hey, it’s my poncho, I can do what I want with it LOL
I loved this stitch pattern SO MUCH I’m even using it to make a shawl for myself. I saw your video for the pocket shawl and I decided to use this stitch for the shawl instead.
This one.. best hands on step by step tutorial, is the best so far for me… a good visual for beginners.. and the music is soothing too… this one will go into my Pinterest for keeps & subscribing.. thanks Tuteate for posting… in completing the project, modeling it turned out beautifully. ❤
Hi can i ask when you had done the first round of wrap n knit then whe you go bk on yourself i had every other peg with 2 loops on yet on the video it doesnt look like theres 2 loops? What should i do?
I’m assuming that you can use a longer loom to get a longer affect in the bag so that it’s much longer because this one for me is quite short and would fit my granddaughter
Hi Alisa! Yes, you can use a longer loom, and yes, that will give you a "longer back" :) If your loom is not big enough, you could also try to knit "stripes", one added to the other one. Maybe this other tutorial would help you on that: ruclips.net/video/68g1QWLIHeo/видео.html
I.ve finished this project and honestly im a little down heartened! As its more like a childs poncho than an adults, is there a way to make it larger? Could using a bigger loom help and maybe adding extra rounds? I love the finished item its just not big enough even for a shoulder warmer its to small. Thank.you
You could use a bigger loom and make sure they are spaced out the same as hers. She didn't mention the spacing of her loom and there are different ones. I'd say try a bigger loom and measure your body around to make sure you're making it the right length. Loom size will change width and you control the length.
I am in the process of making this wonderful project. However I didn’t count rows for some reason and was wondering what the finished length should be. In the video it states 1 m/ 1 yard but 1 meter is not exactly equivalent to one yard. I basically would like to know how long in inches?
I absolutely love your video! Its so easy to follow and I'm really excited to make it for my mom as a Christmas present! I did have a question about the size? How would I do to make the size more bigger???? (Like a Large)
What am I doing wrong? I have the skip over in the front. Creating a huge pile up of yarn. On every other peg. What am I doing wrong with that? Thank you in advance for your help Community
What should the finished dimensions of the rectangle be, please? Length 1m but width? Knowing both dimensions will help me size it up/down as needed. 😉
So beautiful...... wondering if the stitch combo has a name or is it the volcano stitch? I was thinking volcano is the type of shawl it is??? Anyone know?
Thanks for this video. I have been wanting to make a poncho. I'm not sure how it would look with the strips added on but if you do have a free pattern for a bigger poncho that would be wonderful. I may look into making a larger one with hood and pockets or slits for arms.
Hi Ruby! Maybe you could combine this tutorial with the blanket one, to make this model bigger: ruclips.net/video/68g1QWLIHeo/видео.html I'll be posting other types of ponchos, capes, jumpers,... so stay tuned! ^_^
I.vejust started this and im confused already on so i went all around with wrap knit but then it came to the end and going bk on yourself i had every other peg with two loops but it didnt look like you did? What am i doing wrong? Thank.you.
I would like to make this on a smaller gauge loom with thinner yarn. I adore this pattern and after quitting looming 2 years ago, this is something I want to make. Do I just use an odd number of pegs and estimate how many based on the width?
If the end pegs on your loom are the same distance from the side pegs as the side pegs are from each other, you can use a flat loom like a circular loom, or use both sides to make a wider knitted fabric.
If your straight loom has end pegs the same distance from the side pegs as the side pegs are from each other, you can use both sides for a wider flat piece, or can use the flat loom like a circular loom. IF the end pegs are the proper distance from the other pegs.
@@cutnieves I ended up making a different pattern for a poncho, and that one was bigger. I didn't love the fit of this one 😆 but i used 3 or 4 skeins of a number 6 wool-ease yarn. I hope that helps a little bit!

What shawl
@@vixen200008 the pocket shawl she made.
@@Tuteate you're very welcome. Keep up the good work!

That is correct. You pull the two loops over the top loop. You will always have two loops going forward.
Very nice! Easy to follow instructions, I love it!
i can't wait to make this, thank you for the tutorial
🥰🤗
Thank you for your answer I'll try thank you God bless you
I liked, i would have make it longer

This came out really small for a child though great. Is there a way of making this bigger but still using round loom please?
Me encantó. Lo voy a hacer eso es seguro.
Me alegra mucho saber que te gustó! ^_^ Es bastante rápido de hacer, ya verás :) Un abrazo

I am making this as a Christmas present for my friend! Is this a wool yarn? How long did it take you to complete the project?

Can I loop the yarn around all the pegs then hook them over instead of doing it as I go like you did?

This is beautiful! Can it be done on a straight loom using one side?
Yes, it can! 🤗
If the end pegs on your loom are the same distance from the side pegs as the side pegs are from each other, you can use a flat loom like a circular loom, or use both sides to make a wider knitted fabric.
It looks a lot bigger one you mine isn’t so big and it’s hard to get the back part down
Could this be made into a hoodie??
Very nice poncho can I loom mine larger on arectangural loom?thank you for your answer///

What is the size is this poncho when finished?
The longest part (at the front) is 80cm / 31.5". The shortest part (the back) is 55cm / 21.65".
Amazing...!
IF I want it just shawl what's the length of the shawl?
Can this be done in a 40 peg loom?
A basic rectangle you can fold and sew to shape. Why not keep it simple? Knit and/or purl a rectangle based on your skill or attention span.
If you just keep knitting it can you make it longer?
Could I get away using a 5 bulky ?
What is this stitch called please?
Can I use this pattern for a shawl?
How many skeins of yarn do you need for this?
I have the same question? Did you find out how many??? Please let me know! 👍🏼

How do I know how long to go?
En los materiales el grosor de la lana ?

That's what I'm using to make mine :)))
WIP right now🙂
👍👍👍❤
But where are her arms
What brand and color is this yarn please
Hi! I used a yarn called Valeria di Roma - Alaska, color 307 :)
