This is the easiest loom knit sock pattern every. Thank you so much for posting this video. At first it was hard for me to listen because you sound just like a very dear friend, who was from England, who passed away two years ago but once I got through the first round of tears I went right back to it and finished the sock because I knew that is what she would have wanted me to do.

Wonderful video! followed the technique then experimented with lengths & wool styles for a range of results. ive only been knitting for 2 months & love making socks this way! thank u so much, i also love hearing your lilting accent!x
Just a handy tip take a plastic straw cut it in half thread your wool through the straw and you can weave your stitches easier and faster through the pegs thankyou for the video
Fabulous video. Just made a pair for my mum who has swollen feet and can't wear wool or nylon. Got a ball of cotton yarn. My first project on a loom. Thank you Lily
Thank you so much you showed me in such detail and explained everything so simply I can do this now without getting all mixed up. Thank you so much your the best. I have been watching videos most of the day and none did it as easily as you.. you definitely have a new subscriber
I have mad a pair these with a number 4 yarn & a number 5 yarn, both machine washable & dry able. The recipient just loves them and now her daughter and husband want a pair.
Hi Lily, I hope you're OK xx ❣ Wow, you've just rejuvenated my inkling to start making socks again with your Brilliant tutorial. Happy Loom Knitting Take care and stay safe Love Jen xx in Lancashire xx
Yeah it was ok for a first attempt at loom knitting thanks! They're a bit baggy but they definitely look like socks lol. Thanks for explaining it so well - some videos are too complicated to follow
Juanita , I made the foot portion 25 rows which fits my size 10 and my sister's size 11 shoe. That would equal a man's 8-9 shoe.So about 1 row per size.I have gone sock crazy with this easy pattern. My thanks to Lily!
Thank You for this... Simple, straight-forward, engaging, and fun. I found myself smiling and giggling right along. Looking forward to my first pair. Thank You Again :)
If you are doing the U wrap method (as I do) due to the tighter knit, I would recommend adding additional rows for foot size. not sure how much. I attempted a size 10 sock with 25 rows, but the sock fits my size 7 foot very snug. I think for the next pair I make I will do 35 or 40 rows and see how big that is. Good thing my mom has small feet like mine and I can give this first pair to her! I really like this method and its super easy to follow!!! Great video!
I'd go for the next size down (36 I think) so you have an even number of pegs. Work half the number of pags for the heel, and take it down to a third of the peg left on single wrap. So on 36 pegs, you'd use 18 to make a heel, you'd reduce down until you had 9 double wrapped each side, and 9 single ones in middle before working them back out. X
Brilliant thank you am on my second pair I just wish I could remember the pattern for the heel but they way video is done it’s so easy loving my socks going to make all my family some for xmas x
Thank you so much i finaly made those wonderful socks. Excellent video by the way. If u can add something, maybe just say that after 2 rounds we can snug in the not under our work. Thank you again c.g.
Pat loomer use to do this. Thanks for bringing it back. I am making the other video sock you have but i wonder how are they going to stay up if i want the knee high and 40 rows is only 1/2 way up so i go further with rows
I hope you and yours are well, Lily. Thank you for sharing your loom knowledge and skill. A very useful and helpful video. I know you said you are using 2 strands of DK yarn; however, I did not hear how much is used for each sock. Do you recall how many yards or meters you used here?
@@devwoman180 When I did a regular sock with 50 rows wasn't a knee John. I am doing a knee high now and 80-100 does it for adults. 50 maybe for a toddler.

omg this was awesome however my dilemma is that I have a small flower loom and I started doing booties for a baby but when it came down to doing the heel....I did not get it at all....it was crazy wrapping, really can't explain it. Can I adapt this to a 12 loom and do the heel as you have done it? If yes how many pegs do I need to work on....you worked on 12 so do I just do what you did on six pegs...I would appreciate any help you can offer. I was learning to do this because I wanted to give my granddaughter who is 8 one of these hoping she may get interested and try making these. I don't want to give her something that is going to frustrate the hell out of her and possibly never wanting to do this again. She lives on the other side of country from me so I am not able to teach her once I have learned. The good news is I can always get her father to watch this video and help her out. I have subscribed can't wait to see what else you have. thank you for sharing you really are a good teacher.
Emanuela Davis Hello, yes just work the heel with six pegs, it will work really quick because you'll only be taking number of pegs worked down from 6 to 2, and then back up again. Lily my friend once again you have helped me make a pair of socks that I can enjoy. I did do one thing different when I got to about 13 rows left to go I made a nice brim for my socks and then continued on from there and they turned out great. R u gonna do a video for a cat jumper? I wanna make one for my 20lb cat
Great video. I noticed a comment was made to increase the rows from 25 to 50 for knee high. Could this be used for over the knee leg warmers my increasing more rows than 50 and adding a stretchy ribbed band at the top?

Soul's Ease how thick was the yarn you used?
+Laura Jinn Hey there Laura. I used two or three separate strands of worsted or #4 weight such as regular Red Heart brand.
@@soulsease2230 do you have to use two stands or bulky to make socks on a loom like she is using.
I used two strands of #4 or worsted yarn like standard red heart brand. A single strand would "work" but there would be more open space like a mesh.
This was so helpful!!! Thank you !! I made my first sock!!! Many many more to come :)
I LOVE this pattern!
That's so cute!!! Gonna try it tonight ! Thanks for the great video

Do a cast on, then knit 12 rounds of K2. P2. (Rib) This way the sock will stay up.

if you want to when you finish you could hand stitch a rim of elastic around the top or sinch it a little bit so that it stays up.
