    I have posted in the past about my dog Buster who had seizures, brain tumor & cancer. He loved this home made food! Well we had to put Buster down on Thursday. His body was giving out. He was on phenobarbital & CBD & this homemade food recipe for the last year. I enjoyed making his food as much as he enjoyed eating it. I recommend making your own. If I ever get another dog I will put it on this food right away. Thanks Buck Stop!!

    Buck!!! I started to comment on your video from a year ago and mention being able to simplify it, but saw this link and WTG! I've been making my 14 year old dog Watson's food for years in the Instant Pot and he loves it and does the happy dance for it as well. I haven't added the eggs like that, but will certainly do that now. Watson likes seafood so I alternate between what's on sale, beef, chicken, turkey, tilapia, salmon, etc. I tend to use the frozen peas/carrots/green beans blend since it cuts down on time. I also add a little coconut oil for the joints along with the turmeric. I started making my own flavor toppings too since those are super easy as well :). You and Sable both look awesome btw and love seeing her swimming!

    I have a 15 1/2 year old Chocolate Labrador was has become very picky eater. I have purchased Farmers Dog, Fresh Pet and switched to a organic dry food. All of them she didn’t like, I made up the recipe with ground turkey, at first she didn’t want it . I had made up a double batch of ground turkey, so I figured let me sprinkle some on top of her food. I guess she want more meat, she ate it all. Thank you for the recipes!

Will this recipe cater also for her age and how much are your serving your dog in every meal? Also how often does your dog eat in a day? I really want to start her in eating home cooked healthy food. Prior to watching this video, i was planning in subscribing at farmers food, but then since i have the time to cook, i want to do it myself. I am currently serving my dog with dry food and then toppers with ground turkey, sometimes, sardines and always with vegetables. But i want to make sure i have the right measurem3nt that i meet all her nutritional needs. Thank you so much for sharing. Be blessed.

    Hello! My husband and I have really enjoyed watching your dog food videos. Because of digestion issues, we are going to try making our own dog food for the first time and your videos were a huge part of that. We have a 65lb Bernese/German Shepherd/Rottweiler 10 month old pup. I'm a bit nervous about this whole process because I want to make sure that our girl is getting what she needs. I was curious about a couple things. (1) How do you know how much to feed sable? I'm assuming based on her weight. (2) How did you learn about what supplements to make sure she's getting? It sounds like she's getting a lot of great nutrients from her food.
    We appreciate your insight and inspiration! :)

    Since I started making my dogs food, about 3 months ago now, I've noticed he occasionally eats dirt. Some research on the internet shows this could be from a nutritional deficiency. Besides the food nutrients, sunflower oil, turmeric, pepper, fish oil and a little salt I've added....

    I’ve been feeding her all for 20 years. If you want to cook it that’s fine. But this recipe has got some serious issues. About 80 to 90% of what your dog eats should be Animal protein. Veggies should be a topper or a little bit of enhancement, but absolutely not the focus. And rice is nothing but inflammatory filler. You need a variety of muscle meats, it’s OK to mix turkey and beef and pork, etc. You need some organ meat in there. At the very least liver and heart. Eggs are good. Grind up the shells so they actually can get some value from them. Replace the sunflower oil with coconut oil.
    I know you mean well, but it cooked or a raw diet isn’t good if it’s not including the things that the dog needs. You also need a source of raw meaty bones. If you don’t want to feed your dog raw bones, then use the four leaf Rover brand of bone replacement.

    • @breannemichele9988
      @breannemichele9988 26 дней назад +1

      I’ve done a lot of research and found a good calculation to help you determine where to start.
      Take your dogs weight and multiply it by 0.02 or 0.03.
      0.03 is for older, less active dogs. 0.02 is for younger, more active dogs.
      For example, my dog is 65 pounds, 2 years old, and high energy.
      65 pounds x 0.03 = 1.95 pounds (I rounded to 2)
      The answer (2) is how many pounds per day your dog needs to eat of fresh food. 1 pound = 2 cups of fresh food.
      This should work ok but all dogs are different so you can also adjust a little for your dog’s needs if you see they are gaining too much or losing. But this calculation helps with a pretty accurate starting point

    • @breannemichele9988
      @breannemichele9988 26 дней назад

      @@TheBuckStopyour 3 cups shows how accurate this is.

      A good calculation is to multiple your dog’s weight by
      0.03 if they are young or more active
      0.02 if they are older or less active
      55 pounds X 0.02 = 1.1 pounds
      Or

      The answer is how many pounds of fresh food your dog needs per day. 1 pounds = about 2 cups of fresh food.

    unless I'm missing some ground breaking scientific discovery regarding dogs diet, looks abit too much veggies no? normally for a 10kilo dog. u give them no more than half a medium carrot per day. you put a whole tray of vegs. a nice 30-40 % of the food u feeding ur dog is vegs. dont think that sounds healthy. vegs may be good for dogs, but should make up no more than 10% of its diet. ideally 5%.
    PLease enlighten me if im wrong.

    • @anub100official7
      @anub100official7 15 дней назад

      the key to understanding what's the best dogs diet is to look into their health issues when they get old. what type of diseases do dogs tend to die from? primarily, it is cancer. cancer is mainly caused by acidity built in their body. food makes a massive factor in the built up of acidity. the best way to reduce acidity in a mammals body is actually drinking water. ideally, you have to drink alkaline/ high PH level of water (ideally 8.5 ph.). cheap and healthy for u and for ur pet. buy an alkaline machine. reduce the acidity in you = reduce potential diseases.

    • @anub100official7
      @anub100official7 15 дней назад

      meat sure does have a lot of acidity, specifically pork. chickens are fine. dont over feed ur pets. but vegs arnt also part of ur dogs main diet. u cant be turning them vegan guys. abit of veg is good, that is true (according to the latest scientific finds that is)
