    This is really great but what i've learnt from sewing pants etc is that you always cut the back crotch part a bit deeper? So that the crotch area doesn't bunch up at the front and also because hips are usually wider! But this is the easiest way to make pyjamas/shorts/culottes etc XD

      +Lowlyf Fangirl yes it's true! So you have enough space for your bottoms eheh thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!! 😘❤️

    It seems there are darts in your final trousers. Am I right?

    Culottes are so comfortable. Depending on the fabric used they are so cooling in the hot summers. My go to style when not in trousers.

    Great, easy directions, but for me cutting the one leg in two pieces and sewing back together is just a waste of time.

    Cute! I have some jump suits that are basically culottes and blouse attached to one another...so instead of putting the elastic in you sew a top to it, add a belt to tighten (it has self-belt attached to tie in the front...this gives me a good clue how to duplicate my outfit that feels good to wear and looks good on me and almost the same color/pattern as you used. Thank you!

    what is the difference between front and back piece?

    • @thepolkadotter
      @thepolkadotter  7 лет назад +1

      +Evangelia Papacheimona hey! I'm glad you asked! When you cut out the curved part, the back piece has a bigger curve than the front piece. So it fits perfectly in the back! :) ❤️

    How do I determine my crotch measurements

    • @thepolkadotter
      @thepolkadotter  6 лет назад +2

      Hello there! You can use some shorts that you have and fold them in half, and when you mark it add some extra lenght to make the crotch. I'll upload a new video on how to make shorts, it will be more clear! Hope I could help!

    • @thepolkadotter
      @thepolkadotter  6 лет назад +1

      And notice that the back part will always have to be bigger than the front.

    what size would this be? I'm an european extra small and i don't want them to be tooooo big!

    • @thepolkadotter
      @thepolkadotter  7 лет назад

      +Pale Blonde this would be a small size. And they fit really good, not big at all 😘❤️

    • @_charliezard_
      @_charliezard_ 7 лет назад

      if I still would want to make them a bit smaller, would I take some length of the fabric size started with?

    • @thepolkadotter
      @thepolkadotter  7 лет назад

      +Pale Blonde yes but not that much, 1 cm, 2 in max. Another thing that you can do to make them more tight is using a smaller elastic, so they fit tighter in your waist and everywhere else. Put the elastic around your waist and see what is comfortable for you :) ❤️

      Melissa Marshall it's a S/M. In Europe something like a 34/36. 💙
