One interesting fact about Mary Poppins is that for the live-action/cartoon scenes a prism was developed to split the camera into the live action and a Matte. The prism actually used yellow as a backdrop and created extraordinarily detailed mats to where you can actually see the background without distortion on the lace on Mary Poppins hat. Sadly after the film was finished the prism was damaged and they never could recreate the exact effect again and it wasn't until digital processing that that level of detail was ever achievable again.
The Story takes place in UK, London but it was shot in US 😆
Now that is an interesting fact!
Chris, thank you SO much for recording all of this for us. I've just had the worst 24 hours after a death in the family and a friend who was visiting going home early because of it. I really needed this today and immediately started crying. I know I'm just one person, but your coverage of D23 (a bucket list item for me) really helped bring me a little joy and lifted my spirits today. Hey Chris, thank you for showing me what D23 is all about! I had lots of fun and I found this to be very informative. This event looks very big and has a lot more to offer for lifelong Disney fans. One thing that stands out to me was the 100 years of Disney animation tunnel. It was so cool to see how the Disney company started and where it is today. Your team does a really great job with getting this Disney content out to us and I look forward to the next video.

Man I was super bummed I didn't catch you at the Expo but it was great to see so many of the new attractions and shows instore for the future! And thank you soooooo much for walking through the 100 years section. I teared a little at the site of knowing that I missed out on taking a photo at the Steamboat Willie back drop. Conventions are a LOT of FUN! You can go into stimulation oVeRLoAd! Easily. I'm glad you got to see so many fellow RUclipsrs. Love you Star Wars (acting). As a kid I saw Empire & Return of the Jedi 1st run. finally saw SW after it's re-release on the big screen. Mary Poppin's is such a great movie. I used to watch the Step in Time scene before I went to work.
