Will is one of a kind. He's so good. He is so likable in interviews and on social media that he's reaching people who have never dreamed about listening to death metal.
I watched a reaction video with him and Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice yesterday on one of Ren's videos (and another guy - sorry, I can't remember his name) and Will came across as such a genuinely lovely person (as did the other bloke).
It’s thanks to Will’s cover of Hypnosis that I even got into Sleep Token to begin with, and I think I love this cover even more than that one. His talent and versatility is just amazing.
Something I love most about this is Will being such a fan he had the attention to detail, the annunciation on words, the breathy vocals. Such a great blend, adding his own twist really completed the song.
Complete Masterpiece...to pull off those vibes in a neutral setting like the recording studio is incredible...and then it goes to it's full potential in a music video...or live. Absolutely stunning in composition and spirit.
In one video that Will was in, (CharismaticVoice? I think is her name? Its something similar!!) He says that he LOVES Sleep Token and especially Vessel! He said that Sleep Token's one of his favorite bands ❤

the soulful variations he's throwing in toward the end that isn't in the original is really good, seems more genuinely emotional than the original. having said that I'm not a huge fan of the screaming part - not because I don't like screaming but the timing/phrasing seems kind of awkward. still amazing cover, Will is awesome

Cover Soilwork! A great band with good metal vibes but also a melodic tint to the chorus. Also, All That Renains is an amazing band. The song, This Calling is especially great. I hope you could cover them, they are two of my favorite bands.
It's not necessarily a different skill-set. When it comes to singing, it always revolves about breath control, mouth closure/shape, vowel manipulation, pitch (yes, it matters for screams, too). If you wanna be at the top of your game, you gotta have decent knowledge about the basics.. This is why Opera singers can truly sing anything, they have mastered those crucial elements.

BUT with that being said Will is a deathcore vocalist and someone who idolizes people like Dickie Allen from Infant Annihilator and Scumfu*k. And for someone into those genres to be able to sing just shows his versatility.
Andy Cizek from Termina is up there. I'm sure a ton of death metal vocalists can sing very well considering how they know how to manipulate their vocal cords.

Don't know if anyone answered this yet, but Alissa Ghite-Gluz is another phenomenal vocalist who can do a huge variety of different vocals, Nergal also has a huge set of what he can perform! Plenty of great vocalists out there in the metal scene, I personally love the variety :)
Singing and screaming go hand in hand. If you pull back a scream far enough, you can find that it's, in fact, rooted in a note. Considering this, I'm not surprised at how multi talented he is
Yeah, I mean all good screaming comes from good technique. They way Will warms up/takes care of his voice and the control and variability he has with harsh vocals it shouldn’t surprise anyone to learn that he’s got an amazing range and tone with clean vocals as well.

The way he transitions from clean to pure growling grit is amazing. Plus his personality is hilarious. Definitely someone I hope to meet in my lifetime.
