Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

Will's breath control is beyond this world. He literally makes it look easy. The talent here cannot be overstated. It's just disgusting. I'm getting a LS tattoo of this band and I hope to get back stage and have them all sign it so I can get those tatted too.

He is, in fact, the voice of a creature (maybe more than one) in a fantasy RPG game called Kristala that’s still being developed. They brought in a bunch of metal vocalists to voice different enemies and creatures 🔥

not really a big deathcore enjoyer but 4:04 to 4:39 is by far the most impressive part of this performance. i can feel myself sweating every time i see it, especially the drop where he does a super deep low and then immediately goes right up to a high
As a vocalist myself, it's actually not as difficult as you might think. The biggest issue is mastering the techniques that allow highs and lows. After that it's just some practice to put them together with a clean transition, The transition part some practice but it's not that bad :)

Have you guys seen The Charismatic Voice videos of Will? She set up a full analysis of what his vocal tract is doing during his performances. Put a scope down there to see how he produces the sounds. Super interesting video in my opinion. Check it out!

Will also has a good singing voice in the "normal"range and he is a huge fan of Sleep Token. He actually made a cover of Hypnosis, wich gives me goosebumps😊😊
Metal Hellsinger is actually not the only game that has Will's "voice" in it! There is another game called "Kristala" in which Will lends his voice to one or a few monsters!

Not Corey Taylor, that would be Matt Heafy from Trivium! It’s a badass game and being they added Will and also Cristina from Lacuna Coil, that’s an added bonus for me! Will is amazing and seeing him live is unbelievable, will be seeing him again in September! I can’t wait!

They never come to the US anymore. Lead singer said until they can get enough venues to sell out with very large crowds they won't come back. They are huge in Germany. Saw them the last time they did come to the US about 12 years ago

Have you heard of Ren? He might not be in your wheelhouse, but i think you'd get a kick out of him. Hes an incredible talent from the UK (my homeland). Hes being called the master of one takes. Hes deffo NOT metal. But i think that maybe the ONLY genre i havent seen him cover.

3:38 Generally speaking, you can get more detail out of in ears, but you’ll give up the width and imaging aspect of headphones. Just depends on what you prioritize. I know some headphones can be a bit taxing to wear for long periods of time, so in ears might be a solution if that’s a thing you struggle with.

It's funny because years later I'm watching reactions to this. What's wild is that the end is no longer the most impressive to me. This dude took 2 vocal breaks in the middle of this and he is so damn intense no one notices. Why? Because his "break" is growling like a demon.
You expect him to come back from these really long highs with some casual "thing", but he responds with HIGHER and half as long screams TO A MELODY....
Will Ramos is just a specimen. He's the mike tyson of metal. Without the cte and actual violence.

Hello. the high pitched one is not so difficult to do when you have figured out how to do. And if you look at him, you can figure out. The tongue position is the key. the long "IIIIIIII" "UUUU" also not difficult with a little practice. But the others are incredibles. My English is not perfect so I don't know how to define what I want to say. But I'll try. I don't understand how he pot so many resonance and dimensions in it.

@@allanlozada1779 I don't understand your reaction. Will is top vocaliste OK. I'm not able to do all what he does, sure. But he's human, I'm too. He has got a throat tongue,... , I have got too. If I put all the same way he does, it will sound the same. I'll never be able to do what he do, all song vocals. I'm just able to do two or three sound he does. He is human, I am too. Just watch some tutorials how to do and you'll be able too.

His a definitely an amazing singer but people dick riding will is getting boring now as Dickie Allen has been doing it longer than will and people don’t talk about him enough imo
The reason why Will is getting so much attention is because after he went viral with To The Hellfire he kept riding that wave of exposure by making himself available everywhere possible. Just think of his work with The Charismatic Voice, his new singing courses and the countless of video interviews he seems quite happy to do with various media outlets while on tour. He’s everywhere right now, so of cause people is talking about him.
If Dickie had made himself available I’m sure he would have gotten just as much attention, but Dickie doesn’t seem too concerned about doing that kind of stuff. I have only seen one interview with Dickie where he talks about his singing techniques, but there’s many videos with Will out there.
yeah I’m so over the media frenzy of deathcore vocalists. It’s gonna be a step backwards for the music because now all the bands will prioritise vocals even harder than they do before as a gimmick
