I interviewed ACLightsabers in September 2018 and he said, "One customer...asked if I could make a lightsaber that will shoot out plasma beams, exactly how it is in the movies! I made the second mistake, which is ironic since she is displaying that mistake on the left. I pre-ordered the Ultrasabers "Grand Master", mostly due to the discount...even though the inscribing looked dodgy in the pictures. I did message them and was told it was simply a prototype and the finished product would look a loy better. It didn't. It looked worse. And I got a cut from one of the edges to the scribbled on inscribing. So I sent it back and got a Spectre (SO much better), but lost almost $180 due to restocking fees in the process. So my advice: NEVER pre-order. Wait for reviews, images and testiments. Take your time. A small discount is NOT worth the disappointment.
Heard plenty of horror stories like these from many different reviewers. Most of this is common sense, but when you get excited to buy something, you can easily be swayed to not use your better judgement.
Know what you are buying the saber FOR. COSplay? A few parties? Play fights with friends? Actually dueling? Know what you need your saber to do. Order based on what you need it for and not always for looks. Or else that expensive saber may break after the first play strike or it may just look terrible in a convention picture.

@@SaberSourcing I bought a Saberforge Emerald Knight, and it wasn't quite what I thought it would be like. The pommel is so sharp it cuts your hand any time you need to open it, and there are two decorative plastic screws on the emitter that get in the way when trying to put a blade in and fall out if you don't tighten them all the time. I saw a review like a month later, that would have saved me from getting that saber.
Problem with Paypal goods & services is that the seller can get scammed by the customer just as easily as the other way round. Happened to a friend of mine who sold a GPU for 1k. Buyer filed a claim that he received a shoebox with stones -> Seller had to give money back but also lost the GPU
Who is she buying from? Never heard of anything like this? Seems like all her videos just seem to happen to her. But to be honest thats just common sense when you buy online to be careful.
I've heard some horror stories about SaberForge from a lot of people, particularly about either losing their orders in the mail, having to pay outrageous restocking fees if something needs to be sent back, and their orders being delayed for up to a year after they purchased their sabers.
these are pretty much mistakes for buying anything online that any one with half a brain should know. Wish you had mistakes for buying light sabers specifically, like certain options you might choose that you shouldn't, like ordering next day shipping when you still have to wait over a month for it to be made.

Robert Carter I’ve heard a few people who have had quality control issues during this particular period of time. Ultrasabers seems I’ll equipped to deal with the volume of orders and impacts of the corona virus at this time.
Know that the sabers don’t actually cut trough things like in the movies.... I made that mistake.

you should know how how easy and fun it is to acid etch a hilt?
Never order from ultrasabers again. It ain’t worth it.

Great points. A lightsaber intended for dueling or spinning may not look very flashy and fancy at all.
@@SaberSourcing but that does give you the option to paint it to your liking
True!
My biggest mistake? I bought lightsaber with Saberforge Sabercore 3.0
What's wrong with saberforge?

Always so helpful
Make sure to watch reviews of the saber you want to buy, before buying one. I made that mistake once!

Thanks! Hopefully discussing this topic will help buyers protect themselves from potential problems.
Do websites like saber forge and ultrasabers have sellers or is it the company that’s selling them?
Company
Any issues with saberforge
I've had shipping delays from Saberforge multiple times.
Cheap ultrasaber hilts are plain and need personlilasion from the buyer like hilt extensions and grips
Sometimes, 'plain' hilts make a nice, blank canvas for future customization. Depends on what someone is looking for. Thanks for watching!
Wonderful video well Done 🍸
Thanks!! :)

One on left is the Grand Master from Ultrasabers
If I take a 150$ saber and the option bumps it to 500$ does it means its actually a 500$ saber? Im looking at ultrasaber custom builder.
The initial price is how much it costs just for the hilt; when you add sound, it adds the cost of the sound and lighting system. So yes and no.
Good advice!
Yeah I’ve preordered other stuff outside of lightsabers and I have had many issues
Nice topic!
