HELL YEAH!!! Long tubes, corvette servo, you got a monster in the making. I installed a vette servo in my 5.3 and love the way it shifts. Awesome video!!! Can't wait to see the final product!
There’s a pigtail on the engine harness that leads into the cab and plugs into the cluster. You don’t need bcm pass through for he gauges to work so long as you have the cluster that came with whatever pcm you’re using and the harness that connects it.
Watch all the parts to these 4.3 to 5.3 swap videos, I go through all the parts, fuel line conversions, ECU requirements, motor mount solutions, and everything. Also you can reference LT1 swap dot com for more in depth information!! It’s all covered!
I have a question bro I just got a single cab with the 5.3 swap from the 4.3 and something with the electrical makes it idle super high and sometimes even turnes off wile driving
Man, that truly can be anything. But I would look at the basics like idle air control, or MAF sensor.. even the smallest sensors can cause big problems!
Does any motor mounts work or they have to be specific for single cab and I heard that theres only 2 things are not gonna be same on the swap i heard motor mounts and something else can you help me thx
Any motor mount itself will work, the frame mounts are what's different.. if 2wd you will need the 2wd drivers side frame mount. It's a 45* but with the wide bolt mount pattern. The 4x4 is 45* but with the narrow bolt mount pattern
for the frame mount i leave it on and the v8 engine mount they work together just leave the frame mounts on and just use the engine one and is the engine swap is easy evrey thing fits and the computer just needs a reprogram tto the ecu from the v6 amd the engine will turn on right and thx i just want to know what it needs because im engine swap my truck
Christhian Guerrero you can add wir my for the injectors and everything to your existing harness. Check out lt1swap.com to see the pin outs, what is and isn’t needed in the harness, also see what sensors your 7.0 comes with and you can get the pigtails for them and adapt them and run those wires in as well. Best to remove the harness, leave the wires long and start separating and relooming once you have the harness mapped out. Then send your ECU to Brendan at lt1swap.com and for about 75.00 he will load the file for your engine, and transmission combination to get you going like a factory vehicle!
I was wondering what parts would you all need to get to swap out a 4.3 for a 5.3. I’m trying to swap my 4.3 GMC Sierra for a 5.3 but idk what parts I need to get
Honestly it’s a toss up, I can’t say yes. But odds are yes it should! Make sure to get the wiring harness and PCM and have it flashed to have the VATS deleted and I’m thinking you should be good to go!
Nice! I have a question. I have a 2000 Silverado single cab 4.3 2wd. And a donor 2002 tahoe 4x4 with a good 5.3 and a bad trans. Can i mount the 5.3 to my v6 single cab on the same engine mounts? And use the same transmission that the v6 has already? And what about the torque converter?
Jay Jay ok, you can use the same motor mounts but you have to change the engine mounts they bolt to. The transmission will swap over and bolt up but you will need a Hughes performance ls1 flexplate adapter for the torque converter. Best bet is to check out lt1swap.com and talk to Brendan
I have 2002 Chevy single can donor 2004 Tahoe 5.3 the motor is on but my instrument cluster won’t turn on and it won’t start am assuming bc in the cluster
Pedro Hernandez to be honest I forget what the part numbers are.. but I’m pretty sure I’m one of my videos I’ve covered that.. just don’t remember which one! Very sorry!
Dustin Esslinger yes, but you also need the frame mounts for the k member for whatever your truck is. If it’s 2wd get 2wd 99-06 5.3 motor mount brackets.. if it’s 4wd get them for that..
The standalone? be more specific, do you mean the ecu flashing? If so I sent that out to lt1swap . Com (great website, extremely informative) and I sent them all of my info and what I wanted. Cost me 75$ (I believe) and a week turnaround.
@@forcefedhatch oh ok yea im kinda in a pickle lol i am swapping my 2005 4.3 i put the 5.3 in but it is from a 2002 engine but i have a drive by cable harness on it from a 2005 engine u think i can get it to turn on or the 2005 harness isnt compatible with a 99-02 engine
@@badquality4069 your best bet for interchangeability will be to get a v8 harness for your year truck. The problem is that the fuse box connections may not line up when plugged in, and you may lose your factory gauge cluster functions. Best bet is to have the v6 ecu sent out for programming, and have the theft stuff deleted, and use a blue green harness from an 03-06 model like you have. The 99-02 use a red blue harness.
Do you need both frame mounts? I’m reading mixed reviews that you only need the driver side frame mount and the existing passenger one will work.... in my head that would recess the driver side back an inch or so and not the passenger side... any info before I order these?
Both frame brackets will need to be replaced. Passenger side bracket is same for 2wd and 4wd frame from donor v8 but driver side is different; 2wd with coil spring suspension use part # 15113848 on driver side. Otherwise use torsion bar style suspension frame bracket for driver side.
Hi there I have a 2006 Silverado 4.3 v6 and I have 03 06 and 99 02 wiring harness and 2 computers flashed but I have a problem the ecm plugs in my 06 don’t match with any of the two. As far as I research I have to get a stand alone whining harness but the nating will work in gauges .. or change all Wiring harness inside the cab. Does anyone had this problem before the pins on the plugs not lining up on the Ls V8 and less wire wiring harness
Dezra Reed did you have the vehicle anti theft disabled in the computer? If not look up lt1swap.com Brendan can do it for cheap!! And you’ll have it back within a week!
I used the motor mounts and frame mounts for the motor from a v8 model of the same year truck. To go remember correctly the drivers side frame mount as well as the motor mounts are different from the 4.3 to the LS base V8s.
Blaze Tripyy engine, trans, harness, ECU programming, 2wd 5.3 engine mounts, best to do new motor mounts and trans mount while your there, exhaust, and gas pedal with tax module and throttle body if your going drive by wire.
HELL YEAH!!! Long tubes, corvette servo, you got a monster in the making. I installed a vette servo in my 5.3 and love the way it shifts. Awesome video!!! Can't wait to see the final product!

Can you explain more of the fuel lines ?
I’m currently doing my v6 to v8 swap
Sorry, just saw this it’s basically tubing cutter to be able to use hardline adapter fittings from russel for the correct AN lines you will be using
I’m currently started on my what diameter on the hose did you go on the fuel line I’m was thinking 3/8 but not quite sure on it
The fuel line diameters on the v6 should be 3/8” and 5/16”
Did u have to change the pedal ?
Thats the last turck he got out of for them
Not sure I understand…

No the frame mounts must be changed, the motor mounts themselves are interchangeable
use mounts off donor truck frame plates and mounts
v6 mounts and frame plates sit to far back and engine mounts have too much off angle wont work
I'm trying to take my v6 out of a 04 Silverado and put a 6.0 v8. Can I use some of the same harness of the v6 to the v8?

So if i swap a 05 v6 to a 05 v8 wirring is easier ?
As long as the vehicle is an 03-06 as well it’s an easy straight forward swap for the most part.
I have an 06 Silverado v6 and I just got a 5.3 from 03 Tahoe would the harness from the Tahoe work with it?

forcefedhatch what about the engine wire harness. Does it plug in to the fuse box directly? And i use the the 5.3 computer right
forcefedhatch also what size of flexplate adapter do i need?
forcefedhatch which mounts do u have to change the ones on the motor or the ones on the frame?
@@84yoder I second this question
I have 2002 Chevy single can donor 2004 Tahoe 5.3 the motor is on but my instrument cluster won’t turn on and it won’t start am assuming bc in the cluster
Jesus Enriquez it’s because the computer has anti theft engaged most likely.. you need to have it disabled to run..
How do I disabled it
Also if a plug in my scanner to the obd2 connector the cluster will work but I won’t start
My 2004 4.3 has a manual transmission... Will a 2003 5.3 bolt up to that?
did you ever find out

What up man what's the part numbers for the fuel lines

I have a 03 gmc sierra v6 if I got a 03-06 5.3 with a 03-06 harness it will be fine right
You got a link to those exact fuel lines ?
RUS-658490 This comes in a pair of 12" hoses
AT165056ERL you need 2
AT165006ERL you need 2
How did you make fuel lines work with the v8 fuel rail and did u got the ecu flush for the v6 vin

Ebay bro
Its probably like 12 bucks or less just make sure you get the fittings too
