This painting is so charming. I want to climb inside it and live there, away from what the world has become. Thank you for these moments of respite in the chaos. I love you from across the pond❤
Hello from Canada, Diane. It's Canada Day today, always on July 1st. It's our kick-off to summer. Unfortunately, I am tethered to an IV pole in hospital, an unexpected change of plans for the long weekend. However I am feeling better and I had my husband bring in a little travel painting kit I had put together and yet to use. I spent the afternoon painting this whimsical little picture, one-handed, using my empty apple juice carton for water. It turned out pretty well, but I forgot to include a trusty fine liner in my kit. Oh well, it will look even better once I get home. Thanks for helping me pass the time pleasantly. Cheers 🇨🇦♥️🤍♥️
@@susanyoung6331 Sorry to hear about your trip to the hospital Susan and I hope you are home again soon and feeling better. So glad you had the idea to spend time painting and I’m really glad you enjoy the videos! Happy Canada Day!
Anyone that posts a complaint about the “ummm” thing is not here for painting tutorials! A very sad, unhappy person Charming picture! Another one that makes me smile. XOXO❤️❤️❤️
I'm not here for eloquent dialog, I'm here for your painting knowledge and imagination 😀 and this is a beautiful one! I like listening to your narrative. Keep up the great work! So for the um and ah haters, I say Pshaw!
Amen to your comment about the haters of the ums and ahs! I too love listening to Diane’s narratives and stories as she paints…and what sweet paintings she ends up with! Such a good teacher and encourager for us novices!😊
I just adore your whimsical vignettes! Your personality and lovely nature are evident in them. Your love of nature, its sweetness, and its purity are so foremost in these. I watch you, and am incredulous that you can so quickly accomplish color mixing and application without having to correct or redo. That I cannot do! Really, Diane, you are amazing!!! (I don't even notice any "Ummm's"!!!)
Thank you so much Janice, that’s so sweet of you. It’s just years of practice, and I’m far from perfect in so many ways! Thanks again for your support!
I love this landscape Diane the hedgehogs the blackbirds and the quant little cottage. I love how your painting and ink work always come together nicely, mine always seems to make my painting look as if I have just outlined it rather than loosely marry the two together. I’m sure Hedger is fighting fit after his recuperation at Hotel Diane Antone. Thankyou for all your wonderful inspirational tutorials and advice. Xx ❤
Amen to the comment about the haters of the ums and ahs!!!!! I too love listening to Diane’s stories and experiences as she paints. I learn so much as she ums and ahs and gives us pointers! Diane is such a wonderful, non-critical, encourager and if a “oops” happens, oh well and on she goes….such a great teacher for us novices!😊
My sister used to run a hedgehog rescue and my word, hedgehogs certainly can climb. And they can move very quickly as well. They all have very different characters too. She helped hundreds of them and returned them to the wild when they were better or, in the case of babies, ready to strike out on their own. That is a very cute and pretty painting. 😊
Hi there, thanks so much for your lovely comment! How wonderful what your sister used to do as I know hedgehogs definitely need help in England, too many of them are hurt on the roads. The one we had escaped and now I’m beginning to think he must’ve climbed down the leg of the table on which he was since they climb so well! I wish I had seen him doing it! Thanks again for your support, and I’m so glad you’re enjoying the channel!
I am so sorry that people criticize you in any way. You are such a wonderful person to share your talent with us and inspire us with your amazing and versatile tutorials. ❤️😘
Hello Diane, good to see another video from you. I hope that you have been getting some sleep. Thank you for doing this adorable landscape. I absolutely adore the 2 little hedgehogs. I have to say that this week I went on a crash watercolor course by pouring over many, many watercolor channels. Of all of them, I find yours most relaxing and personal because you do share your life and your watercolor paintings are easy-going, relaxing, and attainable by the most novice artists, in a word, fun! Thank you for all of this. Sending hugs.
I don't even notice you saying Umm..I love to listen to you. So you just keep on being you, cause that is perfect as far as I am concerned. Love these little hedgehogs, and the whole scene. So sweet, and I actually am already ready for fall. Not much for the heat. Living in WA State, we don't have air conditioning in most homes, I don't anyway, so the summer is not my friend.
Ummm....I love this! A while back I took a speech and debate class and guess what my professor told us.... It's okay to use "Um" sparingly in a formal setting such as a presentation or interview and very acceptable and natural in an informal setting. Your tutorials are informal, (although we do get a formal education) relaxing, therapeutic, educational, and delightful in every way. I can't imagine how some people have enough time to dissect so many things before them, but don't change a thing about you Diane. Sitting with you is like visiting with a dear friend and you are loved. Thank you for sharing this charming little painting tutorial.
Thanks Carolyn! As you know I live in France, and here the “ummm” is taken to an absolute height of usefulness! Seconds’ long umms are used as “placeholders” while the speaker tries to think of his next thought, and to block the other person from interjecting. It’s quite funny! I should try that technique some time! Thanks for your support and kind comments and I hope you enjoy this little painting!!
That is so dang cute. I wish we had hedgehogs in Australia. And whoever wants to complain about your word whiskers needs to get a life. It’s not like you have a script you are following, you are doing it on the fly while painting. That is a talent! And I love listening to you prattle on about anything and everything. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day
I have an autistic son who talks all day long and says, "Though" at the end of every sentence. 😂 I have not heard you say, um, ever 😂. You are appreciated 😊
I love the sketchy look here! I tend to do this more than not. I wish we had hedgehogs here as they are so cute! About people making pookie remarks, as I see it, don’t sit there and watch the video and and then complain! For heaven sakes…we aren’t perfect and so many people lately seem to lead miserable lives! I really feel sorry for those that can’t be kind in their words.
I love those cute hedge hogs. I wouldn't have thought to put them there and they are just perfect in the front. Thank you for all these nature inspired ideas. Can't wait to try and thank you for the free sketch! I"m trying to practice drawing daily and it helps to see it just in pencil.
I think this is the cutest painting and I am going to be brave and try it myself. I just love the way you give the animals character and their own sweet personalities. I think it must be a reflection of "you". As always ever, thank you for a great tutorial!😍
I enjoy listening to you throughout your tutorial. I feel like you are sitting in my kitchen. I can only imagine how hard it is to do. Keep up the great work!
How very, very rude to comment on you saying uhmm !!! All the time and effort you put in to help us to improve our painting. I for one am extremely grateful and to be perfectly honest I could listen to you all day long and have done a few times. Love your channel and keep on uhmming. Bless you.
I like your umms! Also love the reminder that we’re not painting a wall. I need simple reminders like that plastered all over my art room walls! Thanks for this adorable scene!
I love this and you can say ummm all you want! I didn’t even notice until you made a comment about someone saying, you said it too often. Good for you for sticking up for yourself! I really enjoyed this video, and I hope you do some more like it, thank you!
