This would have taken me all day. 😅 Just lovely. I have those brushes, and I love them. I'm a newbie at Watercolor, but those brushes have helped me quite a bit. I like every Meeden product I've gotten so far. I absolutely love their palettes. I'm definitely going to give this one a go. I love it! Also....you cat is GORGEOUS!!!! I love the little mew, mews at the end. I have a siamese as well. Wonderful cats. ❤❤❤

I didn’t want this video to finish. Your painted Rooster was beautiful and I could have seen him strutting off the page. Then you showed us Gabriel, and your beautiful pussycat. My arms were twitching to rub his little belly. So gorgeous. Thank you so much Diane. I feel so relaxed. ❤️❤️❤️

That is a GREAT painting Diane. Every time I watch you paint, I’m amazed at how easy you paint such a lovely pice of art!! You’re a natural. Love your kitty too. ♥️ THANKYOU Diane

Hello Diane, thank you for sharing your rooster, Gabriel with us. I know that he seems a nuissance, but honestly, living in a big city, I LOVE rooster calls (some of our Cuban neighbors keep roosters and chickens even in the city. HURRAY!) The rooster calls remind me of being in the countryside, surrounded by nature, away from loud noises of my younger neighbors refer to as "music" and all of the machinery of my other obssessive neighbors who are constantly manicuring their front lawns and unnecessarily cutting the few trees we have in the city and all the loud noises of traffic, etc. I find nature sounds very relaxing. So, please give Gabriel a big kiss from me. But I agree, he needs to be separated from the hens. They deserve peace. And, thank you for a great idea. Recently I bought a rooster lamp, all in cream color and have been debating about how to paint it. I love your choice of colors. I shall revisit it when I am ready to paint my rooster lamp. I hope that you don't mind me "copying" from you. And, thank you for the footage of your yard, cat and Gabriel.... I really enjoyed it. Hugs, Eve
Hi Eve, thanks so much for your lovely message! I don’t really mind Gabriels noise. He doesn’t keep me awake at night! He does crow in the middle of the night though which is a bit strange! So glad you enjoyed the video, it’s one of my favourite subjects to paint, I think I must’ve done 100 of these roosters!
Diane, my Granny once told me, that in order to be a good cook, "every kitchen needs a Rooster in it ". Well, I have enough in my kitchen, but im going to attempt to paint this and frame it for my wall. Thank you for the inspiration.

Good evening Wim, and thank you again for your lovely comments! I do hope you have fun trying out this Cockerel - it’s not as hard as it looks! Thanking you again for your support, see you again tomorrow for 31!
He is so lovely! Many friends in our suburban area have backyard chickens including our attorney who has a large yard and raises all types of fowl. Roosters are prohibited because of all the noise they create but I like to hear them. When we stayed in the Florida Keys, there was a rooster that came to visit every morning and was our alarm clock. Loved watching you paint this cockerel, he really came to life as you painted him! Also his “kindly eye” , he looks full of character. Thank you for showing us Gabriel at the end, x
Oh thank you!
I loved everything about this video!! Thank you for sharing a bit of your outdoors.
Looking forward to doing a painting like this. It will be good for me to go back to primary colors for a bit. Great filming of your cockerel and kitty at the end! ❤ Thanks for sharing!
Have fun!
