      Greg and Jumi, welcome to my hometown, Ipoh. Would have bring you around if I'm there. Still wait for you to come Melaka 😉.
      By the way, for the Nasi Ganja, you should try their rose syrup Ice instead. The Chinese owner ( operating the drinks ) is my friend's parents who also owns the shop.
      In Ipoh, besides the tauge, the keui teow is also taste better (thinner and silky).

      Haha we are just waiting to hear about MCO and if we can stay longer. We want to eat the best Nyonya food Melaka has to offer! Know you have some great spots in mind. The cendol is also high on our list to try

    Btw, you can try to look for ‘Chee Cheong Fun’ in Ipoh too, it’s one of the iconic good in Ipoh. The good one is The Pasir Pinji one, but the boss is not very friendly 🤣

    So Jelly watching this vlog! We had a bunch of these similar dishes planned for when we were going to visit this year too. Definitely have to start the day with the classic white Ipoh Coffee. Lots of good stuff in this episode but gotta say the dried and soup curry noodle, chendol and the beansprout chicken is the favs. 4 times at that chendol spot Greg... hahahahaha not surprised. Its such an interesting fact about the bean sprouts in Ipoh being special due to the water.

    • @FoodandFootprints
      @FoodandFootprints  4 года назад

      One day you guys will make it to Ipoh and know you will love the food there! Ipoh white coffee is a must to start the day. You chose some great dishes - the beansprout chicken is a must. We ate three different ones during our stay. Both curry noodles delicious and oh yeah that cendol! We still talk about that cendol and joke about taking a day trip back there just to have it again haha.

  • @TwoHungryDiners

    Yessss cendolllll 😍😍😍
    Never get bored of cendol, any additional topping or twist to the cendol, we are up for it!
    Yes Greg we can also eat 10 bowls of cendol for a week if we were in Malaysia too 😁

      It is called white coffee not because it is white colour but because the beans are lightly roasted compared to the normal dark roast. Hence the lighter colour of the beans.
